  • Buccaneers' Baker Mayfield: Tops 300 total yards

Mayfield completed 27 of 42 passes for 275 yards, one touchdown and one interception in Sunday's 16-13 loss to the Falcons. He added three rushes for 32 yards.

Mayfield bounced back from his worst performance of the season against Detroit in Week 6, though he still had struggles with efficiency and mistakes. The highlight of his game came early on a 40-yard touchdown pass to Mike Evans, accounting for Mayfield's only score as well as his longest completion. Otherwise, the team's explosive plays were primarily the product of runs after the catch. The primary drawback to Mayfield's performance was an interception that came late in the fourth quarter on a drive that could have given the Buccaneers the lead. Overall, he has been a decent game manager, but he's thrown for multiple touchdowns twice in six starts while topping 300 passing yards just once.

  • Jared Goff QB | DET

Lions' Jared Goff: Ugly effort in Baltimore

Goff completed 33 of 53 passes for 284 yards, no touchdowns and one interception in Sunday's 38-6 loss to Baltimore.

Coming off of an efficient road performance against Tampa Bay, Goff struggled mightily in Baltimore and averaged only 5.4 yards per attempt. He was also held without a touchdown for the first time this season. The lone positive to take away is that Goff and the Lions should be in a position to bounce back in Week 8 against the Raiders.

  • Rams' Matthew Stafford: Mediocre in loss to Pittsburgh

Stafford completed 14 of 29 passes for 231 yards, one touchdown and one interception in Sunday's 24-17 loss to the Steelers. He added one rush for eight yards.

Stafford closed the first half strong with two long completions of 36 and 31 yards, the latter of which went for his only touchdown of the day. He failed to carry that momentum forward, however, as the Rams offense stalled in the second half. As a result, Stafford ended up with one or fewer touchdowns for the sixth time in seven games this season. More recently, he's thrown for between 222 and 231 yards in his last three games. Even with Cooper Kupp back in the mix, Stafford has been an uninspiring fantasy option.

  • Joshua Dobbs QB | NE

Cardinals' Joshua Dobbs: Scores lone TD in loss

Dobbs completed 19 of 33 pass attempts for 146 yards while taking seven carries for 43 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 20-10 loss to the Seahawks.

Dobbs struggled as a passer for the second week in a row, resulting in his third game without a passing touchdown in seven starts this season. The 28-year-old was able to salvage his day from a fantasy standpoint by ripping off a 25-yard touchdown scamper on Arizona's lone touchdown drive Sunday. The journeyman backup is averaging 33.1 rushing yards through seven weeks, but he appears to be overmatched as a passer in the rare instances he is given a clean pocket. Kyler Murray (knee) might not be ready until Week 10, giving Dobbs at least a couple more starts for the 1-5 Cardinals, beginning with a home matchup against Baltimore next Sunday.

  • Justin Herbert QB | LAC

Chargers' Justin Herbert: Struggles in second half of loss

Herbert completed 17 of his 30 pass attempts for 259 yards and one touchdown to go along with two interceptions in a loss to the Chiefs on Sunday. He also carried the ball twice for five yards.

Herbert appears to still be dealing with the broken middle finger on his left hand, as the quarterback was spotted getting his splint readjusted during the game, per James Palmer of NFL Network. That didn't seem to bother the Pro Bowler too much, but the wheels fell off after halftime as both interceptions -- including a desperation throw in the final minutes -- came in a dreadful second half that saw the Chargers fail to put a single point on the board. It should get easier for Herbert and company next week, when the Bears come to Los Angeles.

  • Geno Smith QB | NYJ

Seahawks' Geno Smith: Overcomes two TOs for third win

Smith completed 18 of 24 pass attempts for 219 yards, two touchdowns and an interception while rushing six times for 10 yards and losing a fumble in Sunday's 20-10 win over Arizona.

Smith was able to get back into the scoring column after failing to toss a touchdown against Cincinnati last week. However, the veteran was unable to clean up his turnover issues, producing two more following the pair of interceptions thrown in his last outing. The 32-year-old has gotten off to a slow start following his late-career breakout in 2022, throwing seven touchdowns with five turnovers compared to the 2:1 TD:TO ratio he produced last year. Things won't get any easier for Smith in Week 8 when he faces Cleveland's suffocating pass defense next Sunday.

  • Russell Wilson QB | NYG

Broncos' Russell Wilson: Helps team to victory

Wilson completed 20 of 29 passes for 194 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 19-17 win over the Packers. He also rushed once for 21 yards.

Wilson has now gone three straight games with under 200 passing yards. Unlike his ugly 95-yard, two-interception performance in Week 6, though, Wilson avoided any turnovers Sunday, helping Denver clinch its second win. With an 18-yard touchdown to Courtland Sutton to boot, Wilson's improvement offers some encouragement ahead of a tough matchup versus the Chiefs in Week 8.

  • Jordan Love QB | GB

Packers' Jordan Love: Another slow start

Love completed 21 of 31 passes for 180 yards, two touchdowns and an interception in Sunday's 19-17 loss to the Broncos. He also rushed three times for 21 yards.

Love hardly threw downfield during the first half, when the Packers' offense endured yet another sluggish start, scoring no points. The quarterback found more success afterward, though, throwing a 16-yard touchdown to Romeo Doubs and four-yard score to Jayden Reed. While the latter play helped put Green Bay in the lead temporarily, Love subsequently threw an interception on his final pass for the second straight contest, resulting in consecutive failed attempts at game-winning drives.

  • Falcons' Desmond Ridder: Wins despite three red-zone fumbles

Ridder completed 19 of 25 passes for 250 yards without a touchdown or interception in Sunday's 16-13 win over the Buccaneers. He added six carries for 38 yards and a touchdown while fumbling three times, losing all three.

Ridder got off to a hot start, completing all four of his passes for 46 yards on the opening drive before capping it with a two-yard rushing touchdown. That success didn't last, as Ridder failed to lead another touchdown drive and lost three fumbles in the red zone, including two at the 1-yard line. After Tampa Bay tied the score at 13 apiece with 45 seconds remaining, Ridder connected with Kyle Pitts for a 39-yard gain to set up Younghoe Koo's game-winning 51-yard field goal, which handed Ridder the first road win of his NFL career. Ridder will look to double that win total in a Week 8 road tilt in Tennessee.

  • Chiefs' Patrick Mahomes: Standout numbers in division win

Mahomes completed 32 of 42 passes for 424 yards with four touchdowns and one interception while adding 29 yards on four rushes in the Chiefs' 31-17 win over the Chargers on Sunday.

Mahomes was particularly lethal in the first half, when he led the Chiefs to 24 points while recording scoring tosses to Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Rashee Rice and Travis Kelce of 46, six and one yards, respectively. Mahomes' and Kelce's connection was the story of the game, as the prolific signal-caller hit his All-Pro tight end on 12 occasions for 179 yards. Mahomes' yardage total was a season high, and he now has five multi-touchdown efforts in his first seven games heading into a Week 8 road trip to Denver.
