Hoyer went 4-for-14 passing for 85 yards and one interception Thursday against the Patriots.

Although he was efficient in the preseason opener against the Broncos, Hoyer's first pass was intercepted against the Patriots. The veteran primarily played with backup receivers, so he wasn't exactly in a position to succeed, and he actually had a potential touchdown pass dropped by Josh Bellamy, which would have made his stat line look much better. Despite the rough performance, he's firmly entrenched as Jay Cutler's backup, and projects to be one of the best second-stringers in the league.

Wilson was 5-of-11 passing for 77 yards and was sacked four times in Seattle's loss to the Vikings in their second preseason game Thursday.

Through two games, the Wilson-led first-team offense has not scored a point. A couple of the sacks were Wilson's fault for holding onto the ball too long, and another was the fault of running back Alex Collins who failed to make a key block. The offensive line, though, looked shaky at the tackle spots, which likely will continue to be an issue into the season. Even though the first-teamers have played about two quarters total in two games, their lack of production is still a bit concerning.

Bethel-Thompson completed 2-of-4 passes for 22 yards to go along with two rushing attempts for a loss of three yards during Thursday's preseason win over the Steelers.

Bethel-Thompson remains buried on the Eagles' depth chart behind Sam Bradford, Chase Daniel, and Carson Wentz (ribs). With Wentz still sidelined due to injury, Bethel-Thompson serves as the third option at quarterback, but is still a longshot to make the roster.

Bradford threw for 115 yards while completing 14-of-19 passes in Thursday's preseason win over the Steelers.

After throwing just one pass during the Eagles preseason opener, Bradford saw much more time on Thursday, playing the entire first half. He didn't have any big plays but played relatively mistake-free football, leading the team to a 10-0 lead at half. Look for Bradford to see extensive time once again when the Eagles take on the Colts next week, as the offense continues to work out the kinks in preparation for the regular season.

With Tom Brady sidelined for Thursday's preseason win over the Bears, Brissett took over at QB early in the third quarter of the contest, NESN.com reports.

Working mostly with the team's second-unit, Brissett completed 9-of-13 passes for 87 yards and ran once for five yards. With Brady set to sit out the Patriots' first four games of the regular season, Brissett remains on track to serve as Jimmy Garoppolo's backup out of the gate, given that the team has opted not to add a veteran backup to this point in time.

Winston was especially sharp in the two-minute drill during Thursday's joint practice session with the Jags, the team's official site reports.

The sophomore quarterback was able to lead the team down the field with little resistance and culminated the march with a touchdown pass to Adam Humphries. Winston was 5-for-5 on the drive overall, helping the offense rebound from a tough outing Wednesday against what is expected to be a stingy Jags defense in 2016. The Bucs' offensive leader continues to provide plenty of encouraging signs with respect to his ability to take a notable leap forward in the coming season.

Bridgewater did not play in Thursday's preseason win over Seattle due to a coach's decision, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.

Bridgewater warmed up and it was thought he'd start, but he was rested with Shaun Hill getting work with the first-team offense. Bridgewater will likely play two quarters in the third preseason game and then not play the final preseason game.

Carr completed nine of 13 passes for 38 yards and an interception in Thursday's preseason loss to the Packers.

After starting off the night with a field goal, Oakland's first-team offense was held scoreless on the next four drives. Carr wasn't much better in the preseason opener, completing three of seven passes for 44 yards. Regardless, it's far too early to panic, as Carr should enjoy working behind an improved offensive line, with top wideout Amari Cooper entering his second season.

Garoppolo completed 16 of 21 passes for 181 yards and a touchdown in Thursday's preseason game against the Bears.

The Patriots clearly want Garoppolo to get a lot of work before Week 1, as he played into the third quarter against Chicago's defensive reserves. He also had plenty of success in the first half, producing two touchdowns and a field goal on five drives, despite having his longest drive spoiled by a Brandon Bolden fumble. Set to start New England's first four regular-season games, Garoppolo has been impressive through two preseason contests, all while playing without Rob Gronkowski, Dion Lewis (knee), Julian Edelman (foot) and Danny Amendola (knee).

Orlovsky completed eight of 14 passes for 83 yards and an interception in Thursday's preseason game against the Bengals.

Orlovsky was much better in Detroit's first preseason game, and in any case, he doesn't appear to have competition for the top backup job. If the Lions do retain sixth-round rookie Jake Rudock, it will likely just be as the No. 3 quarterback, which usually comes with inactive status on gamedays.
