  • Dak Prescott QB | DAL

Cowboys' Dak Prescott: Accounts for three scores in OT win

Prescott completed 19 of 39 passes for 287 yards, two touchdowns and an interception, adding seven carries for 38 yards and another score in Sunday's 29-23 overtime win over the Eagles.

Prescott wasn't quite as sharp as he has been for most of the season, and yet his mixture of big plays and late-game heroics still more than made up for some missed throws. He benefited from the long-awaited return of Dez Bryant, who had four catches for 113 yards and a touchdown, though he needed 14 targets to get there. All in all, this was yet another performance that should work in Prescott's favor, but it's still unclear just how long he'll keep the starting job. The Cowboys may want to see how both Prescott and Tony Romo (collarbone) look in practice ahead of a Week 9 contest in Cleveland.

  • Jameis Winston QB | NYG

Buccaneers' Jameis Winston: Underwhelms despite mistake-free performance

Winston completed 16 of 32 passes for 180 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions in Sunday's 30-24 overtime loss to the Raiders. He also gained 16 yards on three rushes.

Although he didn't turn the ball over, Winston's performance still has to be considered somewhat disappointing, considering the matchup against a vulnerable Raiders defense that also went without CB Sean Smith after the first play of the game. The sophomore quarterback only averaged 5.6 yards per attempt, and, after having burned the Rams for 405 yards back in Week 3, he's now failed to hit the 200-yard mark twice in the subsquent four games. He also came up small in the most crucial moments of the game, going just 5-for-12 for 34 yards and a touchdown over the fourth quarter and overtime. On the plus side, Winston now has multiple touchdowns in back-to-back contests for the first time this season, but he'll have to step up his game overall to get the Bucs over the hump. Tampa's Week 9 matchup is likely as good a game as any to start showing some improvement, as they welcome the high-powered Falcons offense to town for a Thursday night tussle.

  • Trevor Siemian QB | ATL

Broncos' Trevor Siemian: Shaky in victory

Siemian completed 20 of 38 passes for 276 yards and an interception in Sunday's win over San Diego. He also lost a fumble in the contest.

It was a bit of a head-scratching performance from Siemian - perfectly encapsulated in a second quarter drive. First, Siemian uncorked a beautiful 37-yard bomb to Emmanuel Sanders to put the Broncos in scoring position and make some wonder where such passes have been all season. Then, a few plays later, he failed to secure the ball on a sack - losing a fumble when Denver would have otherwise had a chip-shot field goal. The two turnovers were Siemian's first since Week 2, so he certainly fits Denver's mold of protecting the ball and playing good defense, but he's also done little to spark the offense - averaging just over six yards per attempt with three touchdowns since his four-touchdown coming-out against Cincinnati.

  • Russell Wilson QB | NYG

Seahawks' Russell Wilson: No touchdowns in loss to Saints

Wilson completed 22 of 34 pass attempts for 253 yards and an interception Sunday against the Saints. He added 11 yards on three carries in the 25-20 loss.

Presented with an excellent matchup on paper, Wilson was unable to find the end zone for the third straight game and managed a pedestrian 7.4 yards per attempt, despite completing 65 percent of his passes. Wilson has turned the ball over just three times, but he has only five passing touchdowns, has yet to score on the ground and has managed just 44 rushing yards through seven games. He has been hampered by injuries this season, and although his team sits at 4-2-1 he is clearly not performing up to the lofty standards he has set for himself. Seattle will face a Bills defense in Week 9 that just surrendered 41 points to New England, presenting Wilson with a chance to bounce back after another week's removal from his physical ailments.

  • Aaron Rodgers QB | PIT

Packers' Aaron Rodgers: Tosses four touchdowns in losing effort

Rodgers connected of 28 of 38 passes for 246 yards and four touchdowns in Sunday's loss to Atlanta. He added a team-high 60 yards and a two-point conversion on the ground.

Rodgers looked mortal earlier this season, failing to complete 60 percent of his passes in three of his first four games and turning the ball over multiple times in three of the Pack's first five contests. He's back to his superhuman ways over the past two weeks, completing 71 percent of his attempts with seven touchdowns and no picks. He couldn't have done much more on Sunday, pinpointing a seven-yard pass to Jeff Janis to put the Packers up with less than four minutes left in the game and then keeping it on a zone read to extend the lead to six. Rodgers is himself again, just in time for a match-up against an Indianapolis defense ranked in the bottom three in passing yards surrendered per game and opposing quarterback rating.

  • Tyrod Taylor QB | GB

Bills' Tyrod Taylor: Struggles in passing game

Taylor completed 19 of 38 passes for 183 yards and a 63.8 passer rating in Sunday's loss to the Patriots. He did not throw a touchdown or interception.

Taylor did salvage his fantasy day with 48 yards and a score via the ground. However, this passing offense is going nowhere without Sammy Watkins around, as Taylor is still looking for his first 300-yard day at a time when other fantasy quarterbacks put them up in bunches. If you own Taylor, you're always going to have to make up ground through his running skills, but that's not to say he isn't an option, as his 319 yards and three scores are nothing to scoff at.

  • Andy Dalton QB | PHI

Bengals' Andy Dalton: Two touchdowns, two turnovers in tie Sunday

Dalton completed 27 of 42 passes for 284 yards, one touchdown and one interception Sunday against the Bengals. He added 21 yards and a fumble on four carries in the 27-27 tie.

Dalton could've done even more damage if not for a pair of short rushing touchdowns by Cincinnati running backs, but he was able to supplement his production through the air with a one-yard plunge of his own in the third quarter. He is in the midst of a fine season and now has a 9:3 TD:INT ratio to go along with 2,349 passing yards, which is good for fourth in the NFL as of Sunday. Dalton and company will enjoy a bye in Week 9 before matching up with a beatable Giants defense the following Monday.

  • Derek Carr QB | NO

Raiders' Derek Carr: Surpasses 500 yards in overtime victory

Carr completed 40 of 59 passes for 513 yards and four touchdowns during Sunday's win over the Buccaneers.

Carr put up one of the best performances of his young career while leading the Raiders to their sixth win of the season, and significantly boosted his fantasy value in the process. He was in sync with top targets Amari Cooper and Michael Crabtree all afternoon, with the two pass catchers combining for 20 total receptions and nearly 300 yards receiving. Carr's only blemish came when he lost a fumble, but he otherwise avoided any major mistakes while connecting with 10 different targets overall. The Raiders host the Broncos in Week 9 and Carr thus will look to keep the momentum rolling against one of the league's toughest defenses.

  • Lions' Matthew Stafford: Interception-free in loss

Stafford completed 27 of 41 passes for 240 yards and one touchdown Sunday against the Texans.

Stafford seemed happy to have TE Eric Ebron (knee) back in action, as the former first-rounder was Stafford's second-most targeted receiver, as well as the recipient of a 33-yard completion that pushed Stafford past both Kenny Stabler and Terry Bradshaw on the NFL's all-time passing yards list. However, Stafford wasn't able to get much else going Sunday against the league's second-ranked passing defense, often having to check down to receiving-specialist RB Theo Riddick, who ended up leading the Lions in looks. What's more, Stafford has now thrown for one or less touchdowns in four of eight games this season. Notably, he also failed to log a rushing attempt, let alone any rushing yards, for the first time since Week 4 of 2015. Consequently, fantasy owners should expect positive regression in that facet of the signal-caller's game moving forward.

  • Kirk Cousins QB | LV

Redskins' Kirk Cousins: Two touchdowns in tie

Cousins connected on 38 of 56 pass attempts for a season-high 458 yards, while adding two touchdowns and an interception in Sunday's tie with the Bengals.

A season high in passing yards wasn't enough to propel Washington to a win, as the game ended in a Cousins' Hail Mary attempt that didn't even stay in the field of play. The quarterback connected with Jordan Reed late in the third quarter from 25 yards out to bring the Redskins within three points of the Bengals. He then found Jamison Crowder on a 33-yard touchdown pass midway through the fourth to give the Redskins the lead. Cousins and the Redskins now head into their bye week, giving the quarterback some extra time to rest up and prepare for a Week 10 tilt with the Vikings and their league-leading defense.
