  • Dan Orlovsky QB | LAR

Lions' Dan Orlovsky: Not needed in 2016

Orlovsky didn't attempt a single pass throughout the entire 2016 season.

Nearly every game the Lions played in 2016 was competitive to the very end. In fact, 12 of their 16 total games were decided by seven points or less. Consequently, Orlovsky was never called upon to play in relief of starting quarterback Matthew Stafford and will now go without having thrown a pass in two of his three seasons with Detroit. Set to hit free agency in the offseason, Orlovsky may don a different uniform in 2017.

  • Matt McGloin QB | KC

Raiders' Matt McGloin: Doesn't appear Saturday

McGloin (shoulder) was active for Saturday's wild-card loss to the Texans, but as expected he didn't play a snap with rookie quarterback Connor Cook at the helm.

McGloin finished the 2016 season with eight completions on 15 pass attempts for 50 yards and no interceptions or touchdowns in three games. McGloin's shoulder injury didn't allow for him to get the start at quarterback in the Raiders' brief playoff stint, but he figures to be fine moving forward into the offseason. He's set to test the market as an unrestricted free agent in 2017.

  • Aaron Rodgers QB | PIT

Packers' Aaron Rodgers: Throws four touchdowns in win over Giants

Rodgers completed 25 of 40 passes for 362 yards and four touchdowns in Sunday's 38-13 victory over the Giants.

The Green Bay offense got off to a slow start through the first quarter, but Rodgers caught fire thereafter and posted a 125.2 passer rating while delivering the best quarterback performance of the young postseason. Jordy Nelson was lost to injury in the first half, but Rodgers didn't appear to be fazed and connected with Davante Adams and Randall Cobb for a combined 241 yards and four scores. Rodgers is playing as well as anyone going at the moment and will need to put on another strong performance as his squad heads to Dallas for the divisional round.

  • Russell Wilson QB | NYG

Seahawks' Russell Wilson: Throws for two touchdowns in wild-card victory

Wilson completed 23 of 30 passes for 224 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions in Saturday's 26-6 wild-card win over the Lions. He also lost three yards on three rushes.

Head coach Pete Carroll made good on his promise to feature Thomas Rawls heavily Saturday, but Wilson maximized his opportunities as well. He looked sharp while connecting with eight different pass-catchers, and had his usual rapport with Doug Baldwin in high gear, connecting with his favorite receiver on 11 occasions for a game-high 104 yards. Both of Wilson's touchdowns were a bit on the unorthodox side, with Paul Richardson making a contested one-handed grab for the ages on the first one, and Baldwin essentially stealing a throw originally intended for Jermaine Kearse on the second. The fifth-year pro looks to be in fine form for the postseason, and will need to be hitting on all cylinders for next week's divisional round showdown against the Falcons.

  • Lions' Matthew Stafford: Stifled by Seahawks

Stafford completed 18 of 32 passes for 205 yards during the Lions' 26-6 postseason loss to the Seahawks on Saturday. He added 15 rushing yards across three carries.

While it isn't clear if his previously dislocated finger caused him any trouble, Stafford logged one of his worst performances of the season Saturday as his receivers did him no favors throughout the entire game. However, injured or not, taking on the Seahawks' vaunted defense is no easy task for any quarterback -- especially in the playoffs -- so it's easy to forgive the signal-caller's lack of impact on the box score. Now set to enter the offseason, Stafford will look to provide his injured finger with plenty of rest as the appendage won't require surgery to heal, according to Kyle Meinke of MLive.com.

  • Matt McGloin QB | KC

Raiders' Matt McGloin: Will back up Cook on Saturday

McGloin (shoulder) will be active Saturday and serve as rookie quarterback Connor Cook's backup, ESPN's Adam Caplan reports.

As originally expected, McGloin will be available Saturday behind Cook, with the Raiders electing not to activate No. 3 option Garrett Gilbert off their practice squad.

  • Matt McGloin QB | KC

Raiders' Matt McGloin: Expected to be active Saturday

McGloin (shoulder) is expected to be active and back up rookie quarterback Connor Cook in Saturday's wild-card matchup against the Texans, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

McGloin was able to practice on a limited basis throughout the week and still carries a questionable designation into the contest. The team signed Garret Gilbert to the practice squad earlier in the week in case McGloin could not go, but given his familiarity with the playbook, even a semi-hobbled McGloin offers a better option for the backup role.

  • Jameis Winston QB | NYG

Buccaneers' Jameis Winston: Improves numbers across the board in 2016 season

Winston finished the 2016 season with a 60.8 completion rate and 4,090 yards through the air, along with 28 touchdowns and 18 interceptions. He also gained 165 yards and a touchdown on 53 rushes.

The 2015 first overall pick underwent a physical transformation last offseason and reportedly was very diligent in his preparation, which paid off in across-the-board improvement in 2016. Winston established new career highs in every major offensive category, but also saw an undesireable increase in the area of turnovers. Winston threw three more interceptions than he had in his rookie season, while also doubling the three fumbles he was guilty of in 2015. While he did have some notable single-game performances -- with respective tallies of 312, 331 and a career-high 405 yards passing -- the former Seminole struggled at times during the Bucs' playoff push, completing less than 60 percent of his passes in two of the last four games. However, he was unquestionably compromised by a slew of injuries to the receiver position, and overall, certainly provided plenty of reason for optimism heading into 2017. If the Bucs are able to upgrade their receiver depth through either free agency and/or the draft -- and Doug Martin is able to make a full recovery from the personal issues that are reportedly plaguing him -- Winston should be primed for another bump up in performance next season.

  • Paxton Lynch QB | PIT

Broncos' Paxton Lynch: Finishes rookie season on the bench

Lynch completed 59 percent of his passes for 497 yards, two touchdowns and a pick in a little over two and a half games of work. He added 25 yards on 11 carries.

Lynch was expected to see about a half of action in Denver's season finale against Oakland. The flow of the game, according to former head coach Gary Kubiak, dictated that Trevor Siemian stuck in there, however. Lynch came into Denver with many believing that he'd need a red-shirt year or two before being able to compete. After an impressive debut in the second half of Week 4's win over Tampa Bay, Lynch proved that to be a case - often appearing lost in progressively less effective starts against Atlanta and Jacksonville. Lynch flashed a big arm and impressive mobility for a player his size at points during the season, but also looked out of sync with receivers and flustered by rushers. The front office will certainly be looking for strides from Lynch in 2017 and general manager John Elway has indicated that the plan is to have Siemian and Lynch duke it out this off season. As will be the case for many Broncos, Lynch's value will be tied to the incoming coaching staff. Kubiak was known for preferring an under-center offense that suited his one-cut run blocking scheme. It will be interesting to see whether Lynch's next offensive coordinator opens up the playbook a bit, incorporating more shotgun spread concepts and boot-action looks that made him a top pick.

  • Matt McGloin QB | KC

Raiders' Matt McGloin: Listed as questionable

McGloin (shoulder) is listed as questionable for Saturday's playoff game against the Texans.

McGloin's sore left shoulder caused him to be a limited participant during practice this week, but despite his questionable tag, the Raiders are optimistic he'll be able to suit up Saturday, ESPN's Adam Caplan reports. That comes as good news, since besides the injured Derek Carr (leg), McGloin is the only quarterback other than Connor Cook on Oakland's current roster. While Cook has already been named the team's starter for Saturday's playoff tilt, having a proper backup in McGloin is certainly something the Raiders will hope to have in place.
