  • Joshua Karty K | ARI

Rams' Joshua Karty: Makes pair of extra points

Karty converted both of his extra-point attempts in the Rams' 14-9 win over the Texans on Sunday.

This was the lowest scoring game of the Week 1 slate through Sunday. This could go down as the Rams' lowest-scoring game of the season when everyone is healthy, and Los Angeles' lack of red-zone success last season put Karty in plenty of positions to kick short field goals. As a 2024 rookie, Karty made 29 of 34 field-goal attempts and 32 of his 36 extra-point tries.

  • Jake Moody K | WAS

49ers' Jake Moody: Struggles in Week 1

Moody went 1-for-3 on field-goal tries and 2-for-2 on PATs in Sunday's 17-13 win over the Seahawks.

Moody hit the left upright on a 27-yard field-goal attempt in the second quarter, and he also had a 36-yard try get blocked in the third quarter. The kicker was able to salvage his day with a 32-yard make early in the fourth, tying the game at 10-10. The 25-year-old went a career-worst 24-for-34 on field-goal attempts in 2024, and he'll look to rebound in Week 2 against the Saints after a disappointing start to the 2025 campaign.

  • Matt Gay K | SF

Commanders' Matt Gay: Makes three PATs in win

Gay did not attempt a field goal and made a three of his extra-point tries in Sunday's 21-6 win over the Giants.

Gay signed with the Commanders in the offseason, taking over as the starting kicker in Washington after spending the last two seasons with the Colts. Gay had a rather uneventful debut with the team, but he'll have another shot at making a bigger impact in Thursday's matchup with the Packers in Green Bay.

  • Panthers' Ryan Fitzgerald: Makes only FGA in Week 1

Fitzgerald made his only field-goal attempt and a PAT in Sunday's 26-10 loss to the Jaguars.

Fitzgerald connected on a 48-yard field goal in the first quarter, tying the game at 3-3 in the early going. The kicker beat out Matthew Wright for the starting role in Carolina this season, and he has now opened the year with a spotless performance.

  • Bengals' Evan McPherson: Makes his kicks in win

McPherson made his lone field-goal attempt and both of his extra-point tries in Sunday's 17-16 win over the Browns.

The kickers were the difference in this contest, as McPherson made all three of his kicks, while Browns kicker Andre Szmyt made just one of his two field goals and also missed an extra point. McPherson's 35-yard field goal in the third quarter to put the Bengals up 17-16 proved to be the difference. In Cincinnati's high-powered offense, McPherson should be busy this season.

  • Buccaneers' Chase McLaughlin: Misses pair of kicks in win

McLaughlin went 1-for-2 on field-goal attempts and 2-for-3 on his extra-point tries in Sunday's 23-20 win over the Falcons.

McLaughlin missed a 44-yard attempt wide left in the third quarter and then doinked an extra point off the left upright near the end of the fourth quarter that would have put the Bucs up by four points. Instead, it left the door open for the Falcons to potentially tie the game late, though Younghoe Koo missed a 44-yard field goal with six seconds left. McLaughlin figures to be busy this season in the Bucs' high-powered offense. He made 30 of 32 field-goal tries last season and 54 of 56 extra-point attempts.

  • Blake Grupe K | IND

Saints' Blake Grupe: Makes pair of FGs in loss

Grupe went 2-of-3 on field-goal attempts and converted his lone extra-point try in the Saints' 20-13 loss to the Cardinals on Sunday.

Grupe's miss was from 37 yards out at the end of a 14-play drive by the Saints. His makes came from 36 and 28 yards, and the 36-yard conversion tied the game at 10-10 in the second quarter. Grupe made 27 of 31 field-goal attempts last season and 31 of his 33 extra-point efforts. With Spencer Rattler at quarterback for New Orleans, Grupe doesn't profile as an ideal fantasy kicker in an offense that figures to struggle to score points.

  • Patriots' Andres Borregales: Misses one FG in loss

Borregales went 2-for-3 on field-goal attempts and made his lone extra-point try in the Patriots' 20-13 loss to the Raiders on Sunday.

Borregales beat out John Parker Romo for the Patriots' kicking job over the summer. He pushed a 40-yard attempt wide to the right on his first field-goal try in the second quarter Sunday but came back to make his next two, converting from 35 and 44 yards. Borregales was selected in the sixth round of the 2025 Draft out of Miami.

  • Andre Szmyt K | CLE

Browns' Andre Szmyt: Shaky in NFL debut

Szmyt converted 1-of-2 field-goal attempts and 1-of-2 extra-point kicks in Sunday's 17-16 loss to the Bengals in Week 1.

Szmyt, who made his NFL debut, was fine in the first half, drilling a 45-yard field goal just before halftime, but missed both of his second-half tries wide right. Those were obviously big misses for the Browns, whose defense played well enough to steal a win. Szmyt won the job this summer, outkicking incumbent Dustin Hopkins, who was coming off a poor 2024 and missed kicks in preseason games. Whether Szmyt rushed his approach, or if the NFL stage was too much for him, Cleveland may consider looking at kickers this week.

  • Jake Bates K | DET

Lions' Jake Bates: Makes both FGAs in loss

Bates went 2-for-2 on field-goal tries and made his only extra-point attempt in Sunday's 27-13 loss to the Packers.

Bates made a pair of chip shot field goals in the contest, connecting from 30 yards in the second quarter and 27 yards in the third quarter. The kicker had an impressive rookie campaign in Detroit last year, going 26-for-29 on field-goal attempts over 17 regular-season games, and he has now opened the 2025 campaign on a positive note.
