  • Jason Myers K | SEA

Jaguars' Jason Myers: Connects on lone field goal attempt in Week 2

Myers hit a 43-yard field goal and converted his only extra-point attempt in Sunday's Week 2 loss to the Titans.

After missing a 39-yarder in Week 1, Myers responded with an encouraging, albeit quiet, Week 2. While his spot looked to be somewhat in jeopardy during the preseason, Myers now has a stronger grasp on the job, though that could always change if he goes through a rough period at any point in the season.

  • Wil Lutz K | DEN

Saints' Wil Lutz: Misses first field goal since last November

Lutz made two of three field-goal attempts and converted two extra-point tries in Sunday's loss to the Patriots.

Lutz's missed field goal -- a 49-yard kick that banged off the upright -- was his first since last November, a streak of 19 straight successful field goals. Although the Saints offense seems uncharacteristically out of sync through its first two games, Lutz has still been busy, and his big leg has allowed him to accrue some solid point totals thus far, especially in fantasy leagues where longer field goals are worth additional points.

  • Graham Gano K | NYG

Panthers' Graham Gano: Leads team to victory

Gano converted all three of his field-goal attempts en route to a 9-3 win over the Bills on Sunday.

Gano outlasted rookie Harrison Butker to claim Carolina's lone kicking position on the Week 2 roster, and the veteran's value was certainly apparent. With successful kicks from 34, 38 and 20 yards, Gano provided enough to clinch a victory, keeping his success rate perfect in the process.

  • Jake Elliott K | PHI

Eagles' Jake Elliott: Makes two field goals in debut

Elliott made two of three field-goal attempts in Sunday's loss to the Chiefs and also tacked on an extra point.

He was successful from 34 and 40 yards, but hooked one wide left at the end of the first half after Andy Reid called timeout to ice the rookie kicker. The Memphis product will keep getting chances until Caleb Sturgis can return from injury.

  • Steelers' Chris Boswell: Perfect in win

Boswell made all four field-goals (29, 37, 43, 46) and both extra-point attempts in Sunday's win over the Vikings.

The Steelers managed only 335 yards and converted only 3 of 13 third downs, but that provided Boswell with several scoring opportunities. He did miss on a 51-yard field goal, but an illegal formation penalty on the Vikings gave him new life and Boswell connected from 46 yards out. He is an attractive option in Week 3 against the winless Bears, who have yielded six field goals and four extra points to opposing kickers through two games.

  • Younghoe Koo K | NYG

Chargers' Younghoe Koo: Could face competition

Chargers coach Anthony Lynn did not rule out the possibility of bringing in competition for Koo, ESPN.com's Eric D. Williams reports.

Koo missed two of his three field-goal attempts -- including a 44-yarder in the waning seconds -- during Sunday's 19-17 loss to the Dolphins. Considering he also had a game-tying attempt blocked in the fourth quarter of a Week 1 loss, it will be surprising if the Chargers don't give serious thought to making a change. There is some potential for the team's kicker to eventually have fantasy value, as Philip Rivers usually doesn't have much trouble moving the ball.

  • Connor Barth K | CHI

Bears' Connor Barth: Posts one point in Sunday loss

Barth converted his only extra-point attempt in Sunday's loss to the Buccaneers.

Barth could've had a pair of field goals as well, but with the Bears being blown out in the fourth quarter, they decided to pass the ball on fourth down on two different occasions with the ball in scoring territory. As the kicker for a team with a weak offense, he's a poor fantasy option.

  • Texans' Ka'imi Fairbairn: Boots first FGs of season

Fairbairn successfully booted field goals from 26 and 42 yards while adding an extra point in Thursday's 13-9 win over the Bengals.

We finally got to see Fairbairn attempt field goals, after he was limited to a lone extra point in Houston's season-opening loss to Jacksonville. Judging by the team's sluggish offense and inability to finish drives over the first two games of the season, Fairbairn may be a volume kicker this season.

  • Harrison Butker: Signs with Carolina practice squad

Butker cleared waivers and signed with the Panthers' practice squad Thursday, Joe Person of The Charlotte Observer reports.

Butker managed to crack the roster to open the season, but the Panthers ultimately decided against carrying multiple kickers. The 22-year-old remains on the Panthers practice squad for now, but he could get some looks from teams with starting kickers who struggle or get injured in the coming weeks.

  • Harrison Butker: Let go by Carolina

The Panthers released Butker on Wednesday, Bill Voth of the team's official site reports.

After fighting veteran Graham Gano throughout training camp for kicking duties, Butker ended up losing the job battle, but was surprisingly kept on the 53-man roster for the Week 1 win over the 49ers. However, Butker was deemed expendable once cornerback Ladarius Gunter, who was waived by Green Bay on Tuesday, became available on the open market.
