  • Falcons' Giorgio Tavecchio: Stays perfect in substitute duties

Tavecchio connected on a 40-yard field-goal attempt and succeeded on his lone point-after try during Sunday's 28-16 loss to Cleveland.

The Milan-born Tavecchio has been flawless since taking over for the injured Matt Bryant (hamstring) in Week 7, converting on all 13 of his combined attempts (5-for-5 on FGA, 8-for-8 on PATs). He's proven capable of connecting from long range -- four of his five field goals are from 40-plus yards, and two of the five from more than 50 yards out. The issue is his lack of volume, as Tavecchio's 1.7 attempts per game prohibit him from providing assured starting value on a weekly basis (Atlanta's 14 FGA as a team are tied for fifth fewest in the NFL). If Bryant is held out again in Week 11, Tavecchio will collect his fourth start of the season against a Cowboys team that's allowed 15 FGA all season, good for 10th-fewest in the league.

  • Matt Prater K | BUF

Lions' Matt Prater: Converts 50-yarder in Windy City

Prater converted his only field-goal attempt as well as his only PAT during Sunday's 34-22 loss to the Bears.

The slumping Lions offense fell prey to a vicious Bears defense, and Prater's production once again suffered as a result. However, fantasy owners can at least be thankful that the kicker's one chance at a field goal came from 50 yards out, a distance from which Prater has now made two of four this season. Detroit should have an easier time offensively in Week 11 when the Lions host an overrated Panthers defense allowing 25.8 points per game, the 10th-most leaguewide.

  • Graham Gano K | NYG

Panthers' Graham Gano: Scores three points

Gano did not attempt a field goal but made all three of his extra-point tries in Week 10's loss to the Steelers.

Gano has now gone back-to-back games without being called on for a field goal. That has seen his scoring average slide, as he now sports 57 points through nine appearances.

  • Jason Myers K | SEA

Jets' Jason Myers: Long-range proficiency continues

Myers connected on a 55-yard field goal and an extra point in Sunday's 41-10 loss to the Bills.

Myers has been one of the few bright spots in what's turned into another lost season for the Jets, continuing to show tremendous aptitude from long range. The team's offense isn't moving the ball consistently enough to rely on him, though.

  • Matt Bryant K | ATL

Falcons' Matt Bryant: Ruled out again

Bryant (hamstring) has been ruled out for Sunday's game at Cleveland, Vaughn McClure of ESPN.com reports.

Bryant tested out his hamstring during practice Thursday, but he apparently hasn't made enough progress to kick in a game. Giorgio Tavecchio will handle the job for at least one more week, hoping to build on his flawless performance so far this season.

  • Falcons' Giorgio Tavecchio: Set for another week of kicking

Tavecchio is in line to serve as Atlanta's kicker Sunday at Cleveland, Vaughn McClure of ESPN.com reports.

Matt Bryant is still recovering from a hamstring injury and doesn't seem to have shown enough progress at Thursday's practice. Tavecchio is attached to a high-powered offense and has yet to miss a kick this season, but a game in Cleveland isn't the best environment for success.

  • Steelers' Chris Boswell: Posts 10 points in win

Boswell made his only field-goal attempt (50 yards) and all seven extra-point tries during Thursday's 52-21 win over Carolina.

This season has been one Boswell would surely like to forget, but he was perfect in Pittsburgh's blowout win, including connecting on his longest field goal of the year. Week 11 has him facing a Jacksonville team that allows opposing kickers 9.3 points per game, third worst in the league.

  • Matt Bryant K | ATL

Falcons' Matt Bryant: Puts in limited practice

Bryant (hamstring) was a limited participant in Thursday's practice, Vaughn McClure of ESPN.com reports.

Just as coach Dan Quinn predicted a day earlier, Bryant was able to kick in some fashion after sitting out Wednesday's session entirely. It's unclear if the hamstring presented any issues for Bryant during the workout, but Quinn should provide more clarity on that front Friday. The coach hinted earlier Thursday that even if Bryant is cleared to kick Sunday against the Browns, the team may still keep Giorgio Tavecchio on the roster as an insurance option, according to Vaughn McClure of ESPN.com.

  • Matt Bryant K | ATL

Falcons' Matt Bryant: Doesn't practice Wednesday

Bryant (hamstring) was a non-participant at Wednesday's practice, Vaughn McClure of ESPN.com reports.

Bryant has missed the Falcons' last two games while tending to a right hamstring injury, but there's some reason for optimism with regards to his Week 10 status. According to McClure, coach Dan Quinn said Bryant would attempt to kick Thursday, after which the Falcons should have a better idea about his availability for Sunday's game against the Browns. The 43-year-old has missed out on the scoring opportunities presented by the Falcons offense, which has struck for 31.7 points per contest during their current three-game winning streak. As long as Bryant is sidelined, Giorgio Tavecchio will handle kicking duties for Atlanta.

  • Brett Maher K | LAR

Cowboys' Brett Maher: Misses kick in loss

Maher missed his lone field-goal attempt but made both his extra-point tries in Monday night's 28-14 loss to the Titans.

Maher spoiled Dallas' opening drive by missing wide right from 38 yards. That proved to be his only field-goal attempt, giving him back-to-back low-scoring performances following three straight double-digit outings.
