  Diggs was found not guilty Tuesday on charges related to an alleged dispute last December with his former private chef, ESPN.com reports. The alleged incident led to charges of felony strangulation and a misdemeanor assault and battery charge, for which Diggs pleaded not guilty in February. The aforementioned trial lasted two days before a ruling occurred, but he now awaits potential league discipline under the personal conduct policy. The Patriots released Diggs on March 11 after a one-year stint with the team in which he put together an 85-1,013-4 line on 102 targets in 17 regular-season games, marking the seventh time in the past eight campaigns in which he surpassed 1,000 receiving yards.

  The Patriots officially released Diggs on Wednesday. On the heels of recording a 85-1,013-4 receiving line (on 102 targets) in 17 regular-season games during his lone campaign with the Patriots, the team -- as previously reported -- elected to part ways with Diggs for salary cap reasons. Since then, Romeo Doubs has been added by New England, while Diggs is now free to sign elsewhere. In the right spot, Diggs should have an opportunity to yield solid fantasy production in 2026, but it remains to be seen what the market will be for the 32-year-old wideout.

  The Patriots informed Diggs on Wednesday that he will be released after the start of the new league year March 11, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports. Diggs rebounded well from an ACL tear that cut his 2024 campaign with Houston short, playing all 17 regular-season games for New England and totaling an 85-1,013-4 receiving line (102 targets) as the No. 1 receiver for Drake Maye in 2025. Per Pelissero, the transaction will allow the Patriots to avoid paying Diggs the $6 million option in his contract that would have become fully guaranteed next Friday, March 13. Now entering his age-33 season, Diggs will need to search for a new landing spot, while New England figures to prioritize searching for a new No. 1 wideout in free agency and/or April's draft. Diggs pleaded not guilty in mid-February to criminal charges stemming form an alleged dispute with his personal chef, which include include a charge of felony strangulation, and he has a pretrial hearing scheduled for April 1.

  Diggs pleaded not guilty Friday to criminal charges stemming from an alleged dispute Dec. 2 with his personal chef, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. Diggs' attorney said the wide receiver "categorically denies" the allegations, which include a charge of felony strangulation. Diggs' arraignment was postponed until after the Super Bowl to allow him to play in the game. Following his Friday arraignment, Diggs is next scheduled to appear April 1 for a pretrial hearing.

• Patriots' Stefon Diggs: Held to three catches in Super Bowl

  Diggs recorded three catches (on three targets) for 37 yards in Sunday's 29-13 loss to the Seahawks in Super Bowl LX. The Patriots couldn't sustain offense for the majority of the game and were playing with desperation by the time they were able to move the ball down the field late in the fourth quarter. That led to a very quiet game for Diggs, particularly considering that 26 of his 37 yards came on a reception with 2:58 remaining in the fourth quarter and with the Patriots down three scores. Though Diggs failed to surpass 40 receiving yards in any of New England's postseason games, he still managed 1,013 yards across 17 regular-season contests and remains a solid possession receiver. He is under contract with New England and very likely to be one of Drake Maye's top targets once again in 2026.
