He'll take a seat for the series finale while the Orioles go with Weston Wilson at third base. Mayo had started the last five games, going 2-for-16 with an 0:7 BB:K during that stretch to bring his slash line down to .158/.218/.277 for the season.

While starting the last four games, Jackson went just 2-for-14 at the dish, dropping his season batting average to .246. Blaze Alexander will step in at second base Sunday in place of Jackson, who has been a near-everyday player for most of the season but could soon be at risk of falling into a part-time role due to Jackson Holliday (hand) moving closer to a return from the injured list.

Haase went 1-for-4 with an RBI in Saturday's 13-3 loss to the Pirates.
After the Giants traded Patrick Bailey to the Guardians earlier in the day, Haase got the starting nod at catcher Saturday. The veteran hit an RBI single in the ninth inning and is now slashing .286/.286/.429 with two runs scored and two RBI across 14 plate appearances this season. Until Daniel Susac (elbow) returns, Haase and Jesus Rodriguez will split playing time behind the plate.

With southpaw Cristopher Sanchez on the bump for Philadelphia, the Rockies will stock up on right-handed bats in the lineup, with Johnston joining fellow left-handed hitters Edouard Julien, TJ Rumfield and Brett Sullivan on the bench. Jordan Beck will receive the nod in right field.

Despite the recent uptick in playing time, Sullivan is unlikely to move into a full-time role so long as top backstop Hunter Goodman is healthy.

The Marlins scratched Caissie from the lineup for Sunday's game against the Nationals due to left triceps discomfort, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.
Heriberto Hernandez will enter the Marlins' starting nine as a replacement for Caissie, batting seventh while occupying left field. Though Miami has mostly shielded him from southpaws this season, Caissie has struggled to a .198/.254/.317 slash line while striking out at a 41.2 percent clip over 114 plate appearances.
