Paul Gervase P | LAD
Dodgers' Paul Gervase: Sent back to minors
The Dodgers optioned Gervase to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Sunday.
Los Angeles promoted right-hander Wyatt Mills from Oklahoma City to take Gervase's spot in the bullpen. Gervase was unlikely to be available for at least the next day or two after he struck out five and allowed one run on four hits and one walk across three innings of long relief in Saturday's 7-2 loss to Atlanta.

Edwin Diaz RP | LAD
Dodgers' Edwin Diaz: Moves to 60-day IL
The Dodgers transferred Diaz (elbow) from the 15-day injured list to the 60-day IL on Sunday.
The transaction is merely a procedural move that clears a spot on the 40-man roster and won't have any bearing on Diaz's timeline to return to action. Diaz underwent surgery April 22 to remove loose bodies from his elbow and isn't expected to be available until after the All-Star break. Diaz is expected to start playing catch later this month once the stitches are removed from his elbow, but a more precise target date for his activation from the IL won't become clear until he's further along in the rehab process.

Jacob Wilson SS | ATH
Athletics' Jacob Wilson: Exits with apparent shoulder issue
Wilson was removed from Sunday's game at Baltimore due to an apparent left shoulder injury, Jason Burke of SI.com reports.
Wilson sustained the injury in the bottom of the fifth inning on a dive to his left, and he was unable to finish the frame. The 24-year-old went 1-for-2 with a single prior to exiting the contest. Wilson should be considered day-to-day until the Athletics update his status.

Luis Gil SP | NYY
Yankees' Luis Gil: Lands on minor-league IL
Gil was placed on Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre's 7-day IL on Friday due to right shoulder inflammation, Erik Boland of Newsday reports.
Gil has been with the Triple-A club for less than two weeks after he was optioned April 26. He didn't make any appearances with Scranton/Wilkes-Barre before landing on the IL, but Yankees manager Aaron Boone indicated that the shoulder inflammation is a new concern rather than one that contributed to Gil's poor performance while he was with the big-league club. Boone added that Gil won't throw for at least three weeks, so the right-hander is looking at an extended absence from game action.

Will Smith C | LAD
Dodgers' Will Smith: Idle Sunday
Smith is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against Atlanta.
Smith will receive a breather for the series finale after going 1-for-7 with a walk while starting behind the plate during the first two contests of the series. Dalton Rushing will handle catching duties for the finale versus Atlanta.

Teoscar Hernandez RF | LAD
Dodgers' Teoscar Hernandez: Receiving day off amid rough spell
Hernandez is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against Atlanta.
According to Jack Harris of the California Post, manager Dave Roberts classified Hernandez's absence from Sunday's lineup as a rest day, and the skipper suggested that the outfielder could be in line for more planned days off as he aims to "work things out" during a rough stretch at the plate. Dating back to April 17, Hernandez is batting just .176 with one extra-base hit. Hernandez is maintaining a more palatable .238 average on the season, but he's supplemented it with a .365 slugging percentage, a career-low mark by 55 points.

Lourdes Gurriel LF | ARI
Diamondbacks' Lourdes Gurriel: Out of Sunday's lineup
Gurriel is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Mets.
Gurriel started the first two games of the series but will hit the bench Sunday after going 0-for-8 with two strikeouts. Ryan Waldschmidt will shift to left field while Jorge Barrosa starts in center.
-
Gabriel Moreno C | ARI
Diamondbacks' Gabriel Moreno: Getting Sunday off
Moreno is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Mets.
Moreno started the first two games of the series but will sit Sunday while in the midst of a mini slump, as he's gone 0-for-9 with two walks over his past four contests. James McCann is starting behind the plate for Arizona in the series finale.

Giancarlo Stanton DH | NYY
Yankees' Giancarlo Stanton: Still not running
Stanton (calf) has yet to resume running, but he's been doing some hitting, per MLB.com.
Stanton has been on the injured list since late April due to a right calf strain. The slugger doesn't seem to be close to a return given his continued inability to run, and the Yankees haven't provided a timeline for his recovery. Jasson Dominguez (shoulder) was originally the recipient of a big-league opportunity in Stanton's absence, but he's now on the IL, so Spencer Jones has since been called up for his first major-league stint.

Mike Yastrzemski RF | ATL
Braves' Mike Yastrzemski: Idle against southpaw
Yastrzemski is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Dodgers.
Yastrzemski will hit the bench for a second straight day while the Dodgers send another lefty to the hill in Justin Wrobleski. Eli White will pick up the start in right field.
