Nationals' Nasim Nunez: Swipes two bags in loss

Nunez went 1-for-3 with a walk, two RBI, one run scored and two stolen bases in Tuesday's 14-9 loss to the Phillies.

Nunez drove in two runs and stole a bag in the fourth inning before notching his fourth multi-steal effort of the season in the seventh. It continued a torrid June for the 25-year-old, who's hitting .407 for the month and is currently riding a nine-game hitting streak that includes six multi-hit contests. For the year, he's slashing .242/.325/.287 with seven extra-base hits (no home runs), 26 RBI, 31 runs scored and a major-league-leading 31 stolen bases across 258 plate appearances.

  • Dodgers' Justin Wrobleski: Improves to 9-2

Wrobleski (9-2) earned the win over Minnesota on Tuesday, allowing two runs on five hits and two walks while striking out three batters over seven innings.

Wrobleski gave up a pair of runs over his first three innings but kept the Twins out of the scoring column over his final four frames. As per usual, he pitched to contact -- notching just nine whiffs and three punchouts -- but that formula has worked well for him this year. Despite a modest 53:18 K:BB through 86.1 innings, Wrobleski has made a strong case for an All-Star bid, as he's tied for second in MLB in victories, ranks 10th with a 2.71 ERA and places ninth with a 1.01 WHIP. The left-hander is also tied for 10th with nine quality starts and has five such performances over his past seven outings.

  • Jake Bauers 1B | MIL

Brewers' Jake Bauers: Records first triple

Bauers went 1-for-3 with an RBI triple and a walk in Tuesday's 2-0 win over the Reds.

After striking out in each of his first two plate appearances, Bauers came through with the game's first run, lacing a triple down the right-field line to drive in a runner. The three-bagger was his first of the season. The hit was a welcome sight for Bauers, who had been struggling at the plate entering Tuesday, batting just .161 with a 40.5 percent strikeout rate over his previous 10 games. The 30-year-old is now slashing .267/.373/.496 with 13 home runs, 12 doubles, 47 RBI, 43 runs scored and five stolen bases across 68 games.

  • Brandon Marsh LF | PHI

Phillies' Brandon Marsh: Fuels comeback win

Marsh went 3-for-6 with a home run, a double, two RBI and two runs scored in Tuesday's 14-9 win over the Nationals.

With the Phillies down 8-6 with two outs in the ninth inning, Marsh sparked an eight-run rally with a game-tying two-run shot off Brad Lord. It continued an All-Star-worthy campaign for the outfielder, who's now gone deep in three of his past seven games and six times overall in June. For the year, he's slashing .315/.347/.504 with 11 homers, 38 RBI, 43 runs scored and seven steals across 288 plate appearances.

  • Edmundo Sosa LF | PHI

Phillies' Edmundo Sosa: Drives in five in win

Sosa went 2-for-5 with home run, a double, five RBI and two runs scored in Tuesday's 14-9 win over the Nationals.

Sosa got an unexpected start when Kyle Schwarber (back) was a late scratch, and he matched a career high with five RBI in a back-and-forth affair. Despite playing sparingly in June, the 30-year-old has gone 11-for-36 with two homers, eight RBI and six runs scored across 12 games. For the year, he's slashing .238/.274/.413 with five home runs, 24 RBI, 17 runs scored and two steals across 45 plate appearances and has recently been getting some time in the outfield with Adolis Garcia (lat) done for the season.

  • Edward Cabrera SP | CHC

Cubs' Edward Cabrera: Headed to injured list

The Cubs will place Cabrera on the injured list Wednesday with a strained left hamstring, Bob Nightengale of USA Today reports.

Cabrera did the splits while extending to catch a throw to first base in the fifth inning of Tuesday's game, straining his hamstring in the process. He's slated to undergo an MRI on Wednesday to determine the severity of his injury, at which point the Cubs will have a better idea of how much time the 28-year-old will miss.

  • Trevor Megill RP | MIL

Brewers' Trevor Megill: Reaches double-digit saves

Megill earned the save Tuesday against the Reds, tossing a scoreless ninth inning in Milwaukee's 2-0 victory.

Megill was handed a two-run lead in the ninth and needed just 12 pitches to retire Cincinnati in order, securing his 10th save of the season. The right-hander has held opponents scoreless in 13 of his last 14 appearances while piling up 19 strikeouts during that stretch. After a shaky start to the year, Megill has steadily lowered his ratios and continues to look like a lockdown late-inning option for Milwaukee. He now owns a 3.72 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 38:8 K:BB across 29 innings this season.

  • Bryson Stott 2B | PHI

Phillies' Bryson Stott: Monster performance in win

Stott was a thorn in the Nationals' side all game, and he delivered what proved to be the game-winning three-run homer in the top of the ninth inning. While the long ball was the 28-year-old's first of the month, he's hit .304 with 13 RBI, 13 runs scored and five stolen bases through 20 June contests. For the year, he's slashing .241/.298/.403 with seven home runs, 39 RBI, 29 runs scored and 15 steals across 277 plate appearances.

  • Luis Arraez 2B | SF

Giants' Luis Arraez: Exits early Tuesday

Arraez was removed from Tuesday's game against the Athletics with an apparent foot injury, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Arraez initially remained in the game after fouling a pitch off his right foot in the first inning, but he was eventually pulled in the fifth. His ability to remain in the game immediately after sustaining the injury is a promising sign, though the Giants may still give him a day or two off to recover.
