Huff is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against Atlanta.

The 28-year-old made consecutive starts for the Orioles earlier in the week after Adley Rutschman (wrist) and Samuel Basallo (shoulder) landed on the injured list within two days of one another, but Chadwick Tromp has since supplanted Huff as Baltimore's preferred option behind the plate in the short term. Huff has gone just 4-for-32 (.125) with 19 strikeouts in 13 games with the Orioles this season.

The Twins reinstated Sands (forearm) from the 15-day injured list Sunday.

Sands has been on the shelf since early May due to a forearm strain, but he's ready to rejoin the active roster after firing seven scoreless frames during a six-outing rehab assignment. The right-hander opened the campaign in a high-leverage role, recording one save and three holds in 12 appearances prior to the injury. Yoendrys Gomez has since settled in as Minnesota's closer, which likely positions Sands to fill a setup role.

Tromp will start at catcher and bat ninth in Sunday's game against Atlanta.

He'll make a fourth consecutive start and appears to have supplanted Sam Huff as the Orioles' top option behind the plate while both Adley Rutschman (wrist) and Samuel Basallo (shoulder) are on the injured list. The owner of a career .218/.225/.360 slash line over parts of seven seasons in the big leagues, Tromp won't warrant much attention outside of AL-only leagues while he's operating as the Orioles' No. 1 backstop.

The Giants recalled Whisenhunt from Triple-A Sacramento ahead of his scheduled start Sunday versus the Angels in San Francisco.

Whisenhunt will be entering the rotation in place of Trevor McDonald (elbow), who could be facing a long-term absence after he was diagnosed Friday with a UCL sprain. The Giants previously called Whisenhunt up for spot starts June 17 and July 9, but the southpaw has otherwise spent the entire season in the Triple-A rotation. Over 82.1 innings in the hitter-friendly Pacific Coast League, Whisenhunt has submitted a 4.15 ERA, 1.43 WHIP and 90:38 K:BB across 82.1 innings.

The Twins reinstated Prielipp (finger) from the 15-day injured list ahead of his scheduled start Sunday versus the Athletics at Target Field.

Prielipp wound up missing slightly more than the minimum 15 days due to a blister on his left middle finger. The southpaw tossed three innings and 32 pitches in a rehab start with Triple-A St. Paul last Sunday, so he'll likely be operating with some restrictions in his return to the rotation. Considering Prielipp is on pace to easily surpass the career-high 101.1 innings he covered across three minor-league stops in 2025, the Twins are likely to manage his workload over the final two months of the season.

Montgomery is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Astros after fouling a pitch off his right shin late in Saturday's 4-1 loss.

The 24-year-old sat out Tuesday after fouling a pitch off the same shin Monday, and manager Will Venable said that Saturday's incident occurred just above the previous one, per Scott Merkin of MLB.com. Montgomery was able to finish his plate appearance Saturday but will miss at least one start due to the injury, though he's expected to return to action Monday versus the Yankees, per Merkin. Luisangel Acuna will start at shortstop in Sunday's series finale.

Harrison (forearm) said that he expects to make a rehab start Thursday with High-A Wisconsin before returning from the 15-day injured list the following week, Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Harrison said he's targeting a workload of 5-6 innings in the rehab start, so he shouldn't require any additional buildup time if he's able to meet that goal. The 24-year-old southpaw hit the shelf July 11 due to left forearm tightness, but a precautionary MRI revealed nothing concerning, and he was cleared to resume throwing shortly afterward. Before going down with the injury, Harrison had an 8-2 record with a 3.01 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and 101:20 K:BB over 83.2 innings.

Ryan (arm) is slated to make his next start Wednesday against the Royals at Target Field, Aaron Gleeman of AaronGleeman.com reports.

Ryan had initially been lined up to start Sunday versus the Athletics, but the Twins scratched him due to what manager Derek Shelton referred to as "right arm fatigue." The Twins never expressed any major concern about the issue, and the two-time All-Star looks like he'll be ready to go by the middle of the week. The upcoming start versus the Royals could be Ryan's last with the Twins, as the 30-year-old is expected to be a sought-after commodity ahead of the Aug. 3 trade deadline.

Adames went 1-for-4 with a double in Saturday's 9-2 win over the Angels.

Adames lined a double to left field in the second inning, marking his second two-bagger over the last three games. The veteran shortstop has recorded three doubles in July, during which he's batting just .197 with 13 RBI, 10 runs scored, four home runs and a stolen base in 74 plate appearances. He's now slashing .225/.276/.429 with 50 runs scored, 45 RBI, 18 long balls and two stolen bases across 416 plate appearances on the campaign.

Langford (ankle) will start in left field and bat second in Sunday's game against the Mariners.

Langford went 3-for-4 with two doubles, two runs and an RBI during Saturday's 7-1 win before being lifted from the game after fouling a pair of pitches off his ankle. Per Kennedi Landry of MLB.com, X-rays came back negative, and the swelling in his ankle apparently subsided enough overnight for the 24-year-old to give it a go Sunday.
