The Athletics optioned Barnett to Triple-A Las Vegas on Tuesday.

The transaction comes one day after Barnett was lit up for six runs over 2.2 innings in a loss to the Royals. With Jeffrey Springs (hip) slated to rejoin the Athletics' rotation this week, Barnett will lose his spot among the starting five and has now logged a 7.08 ERA, 1.62 WHIP and 38:24 K:BB over 40.2 frames in 2026.

Mesa (hamstring) is starting in right field and batting sixth Tuesday against the Blue jays, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

The 24-year-old didn't start the past three games after exiting Friday's contest due to left hamstring tightness, but he's back in action Tuesday against Toronto righty Jose Soriano. Mesa has been performing well at the plate lately with five extra-base hits (two homers) and a .955 OPS across his last eight games.

Dingler is absent from the lineup for Tuesday's game in Pittsburgh.

It's a well-earned day off for Dingler, who had made 20 consecutive starts (15 at catcher, five at designated hitter). Eduardo Valencia will do the catching and will bat cleanup for the Tigers.

Lee is not in the lineup for Tuesday's contest in Cleveland.

Lee is in a 5-for-33 rut at the plate, so he will receive a day off in order to regroup. Victor Bericoto will slot into right field for the Giants in the series opener.

Arenado (intercostal) remains out of the lineup for Tuesday's game in Boston.

Arenado is dealing with a minor left intercostal injury and will miss a second straight start. The Diamondbacks are optimistic he will be able to avoid the injured list, but with a team off day looming Thursday, it's possible Arenado will be held out until the club returns home Friday. Jose Fernandez will occupy third base for Arizona on Tuesday.

Adames (back) remains out of the lineup for Tuesday's game in Cleveland.

Adames has not played since injuring his back last Wednesday. The veteran shortstop has been cleared for full baseball activities, per Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area, but will miss a fourth consecutive start Tuesday. Christian Koss will again fill in at shortstop for Adames.

DeLauter (hamstring) is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game versus the Giants.

DeLauter was forced to leave Sunday's game against the Padres with left hamstring tightness, and the team off day Monday wasn't enough to get him over the hump. The good news is that an MRI came back clean, per Tim Stebbins of MLB.com, and DeLauter is feeling better Tuesday. Angel Martinez, Steven Kwan and Jo Adell will be in the outfield and Travis Bazzana will serve as the Guardians' designated hitter Tuesday.

The Pirates optioned Mattson to Triple-A Indianapolis on Tuesday, Jason Mackey of MLB.com reports.

Mattson was needed for two innings and 41 pitches in Monday's loss to the Tigers, so he wasn't going to be available for a day or two. Antwone Kelly will absorb Mattson's spot on the roster and in the bullpen.

The Pirates recalled Kelly from Triple-A Indianapolis on Tuesday, Danny Demilio of PittsburghBaseballNow.com reports.

It's the fourth stint in the majors this season for Kelly, with his three prior stays all lasting two days or fewer. The right-hander has struggled in his first three MLB appearances, surrendering five earned runs with a 4:4 K:BB over 7.1 innings.

The Mets reinstated Warren (forearm) from the 15-day injured list Tuesday.

The right-hander has been sidelined nearly six weeks due to a forearm strain, and he's now ready to rejoin the active roster after an eight-outing rehab assignment. Warren has a 4.63 ERA, 1.49 WHIP and 37:18 K:BB across 35 innings (26 appearances) for the Mets this year.
