Pinango is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Yankees.

The left-handed-hitting Pinango went 4-for-16 with a solo home run and a walk while starting the past four games for Toronto, but he'll hit the bench Monday as the Yankees send a southpaw (Ryan Weathers) to the bump. Davis Schneider will replace Pinango in left field and bat ninth.

The Astros placed Altuve on the 10-day injured list Monday with a left oblique strain.

Altuve has been diagnosed with a Grade 2 strain after injuring his oblique on a swing in Saturday's game versus the Rangers. The club has not offered a timeline for Altuve's return, but moderate oblique strains typically result in absences of at least 4-to-6 weeks. Brice Matthews should receive the bulk of the playing time at second base for Houston while Altuve is out.

Gimenez is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Yankees.

After making four consecutive starts, the left-handed-hitting Gimenez will hit the bench while southpaw Ryan Weathers takes the hill for New York. Lenyn Sosa will take Gimenez's spot in the starting nine, covering second base and batting cleanup while Ernie Clement shifts over to shortstop.

Sanchez is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Yankees.

After making four consecutive starts, the left-handed-hitting Sanchez will hit the bench while southpaw Ryan Weathers takes the hill for New York. Myles Straw will step in for Sanchez in right field and will bat seventh.

Atlanta placed Farmer on the 10-day injured list Monday with a right forearm strain.

He'll be eligible to return next week, but Farmer is without a firm timeline to be acitvated from the IL. Farmer has played sparingly for Atlanta this season, picking up four hits in 14 at-bats.

Atlanta activated Acuna (hamstring) from the 10-day injured list Monday.

Manager Walt Weiss had indicated earlier Monday that the club could wait until this weekend before reinstating Acuna, but Atlanta opted to activate the outfielder after he completed a full workout without issue Monday. He's not included in the lineup for Monday's series opener in Miami, but Acuna will be available off the bench and should return to the starting nine Tuesday. He's been out since early May with a strained hamstring.

Crawford (triceps) will start at shortstop and bat leadoff in Monday's game versus the White Sox.

Crawford had to depart Sunday's game against the Padres after being struck in the right triceps by a pitch. However, he managed to escape with merely a contusion and will not have to miss a start.

The Rangers placed Seager on the 10-day injured list Monday with lower-back inflammation.

Seager had been unavailable the last few days, and after the shortstop was recently evaluated by a back specialist, the Rangers heeded the recommendation to put the shortstop on the IL. Per Shawn McFarland of The Dallas Morning News, president of baseball operations Chris Young believes Seager can return from the IL for the start of the team's next homestand, which begins May 25. Ezequiel Duran will continue to fill in at shortstop for the Rangers until Seager is back in action.

The Mariners selected Davis' contract from Triple-A Tacoma on Monday.

Davis could have opted out of his minor-league contract, but the Mariners have elected to add the outfielder to their 40-man roster to prevent that from happening. The 26-year-old is sitting on a .281/.394/.548 batting line with eight home runs and a 20:38 BB:K over 38 contests with Tacoma this season. Davis has yet to appear in a major-league game.

The Mariners optioned Rivas to Triple-A Tacoma on Monday.

Rivas had been in the lineup for only four of the Mariners' past 10 games. The slick-fielding infielder has managed just a .131/.263/.172 batting line in 38 contests for Seattle this season.
