Luisangel Acuna CF | CHW
White Sox's Luisangel Acuna: Slugs first homer
Acuna went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run Sunday against the Tigers.
Acuna has been limited to a short-side platoon role for most of the season, with his start Sunday marking only his fifth against a righty since the start of May. He did manage to make a positive impression with his opportunity, smacking a two-run home run in the sixth inning off Keider Montero for his first long ball of the season. Acuna's lack of playing time keeps him off the fantasy radar in nearly every format, though he has gone 10-for-24 with five RBI and four runs scored since June 1.

His solo homer in the fifth inning was a line-drive shot to right field that left the bat at a game-high 108.1 mph. The 33-year-old has put together a strong campaign, hitting .266 with an .896 OPS, 17 homers, 44 RBI, 51 runs and five stolen bases across 77 games.

Peterson was ambushed early, as he gave up two runs in the first inning before surrendering a towering, three-run homer to Kyle Schwarber in the second frame. Sunday marked the southpaw's first start since May 26 as he has been moved in and out of the rotation this season with poor results across the board. Dodgers' Emmet Sheehan: Chased early in fifth loss

After posting a 2.82 ERA and 0.97 WHIP in 13 regular-season starts spanning 73.1 innings in 2025, the right-hander has struggled to a 5.32 ERA and 1.30 WHIP through 67.2 innings (14 starts) in 2026.
