The Mets released Arroyo on Monday.

Arroyo might have exercised an opt-out clause in his minor-league contract, as he's hit .304/.333/.446 with five home runs at Triple-A Syracuse this season. The 31-year-old infielder has not seen any action at the big-league level since 2023.

The Cubs released Rios on Monday.

Rios made one scoreless appearance for the Cubs earlier this season but has spent most of the year at Triple-A Iowa, posting a 4.24 ERA and 15:10 K:BB over 17 frames. The 32-year-old will now be on the lookout for a deal with a new organization.

The Rangers released Brasier on Monday.

Brasier has had a solid season at Triple-A Round Rock, holding a 3.97 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and 23:6 K:BB over 22.2 frames, so he might have exercised an opt-out clause in his minor-league deal. The 38-year-old reliever should be able to land on his feet quickly in a new organization.

Tigers manager A.J. Hinch said on MLB Network Radio that McGonigle will not be in the lineup for Tuesday's game versus the Rays, Jason Beck of MLB.com reports.

It's the first day off since May 4 for McGonigle, who is slashing only .238/.350/.295 since the beginning of May. The Rays are starting southpaw Steven Matz on Tuesday, and the left-handed-hitting McGonigle is sporting a .698 OPS versus lefties (as compared to an .838 OPS against righties).

Tigers manager A.J. Hinch confirmed on MLB Network Radio that Torres (oblique) will be activated from the 10-day injured list before Tuesday's game against the Rays, Jason Beck of MLB.com reports.

Torres has been sidelined since early May while battling a left oblique strain, but he's been cleared to return to action after playing two rehab games with Triple-A Toledo. Hao-Yu Lee and Zach McKinstry have shared the Tigers' second-base job since Torres went down, but with Torres returning to the active roster, McKinstry will likely shift to a super-utility role and Lee could be demoted back to Triple-A Toledo.

Perdomo will not be in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Dodgers, John Gambadoro of Arizona Sports 98.7 FM reports.

It will be the first day off since late April for Perdomo, who is hitless across his last three games and is now slashing only .221/.329/.344 for the season. Per Jack Sommers of SI.com, Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo noted prior to Monday's contest that he's "thinking about" moving Perdomo -- who has yet to hit lower than third this season -- down in the batting order, so that could happen when he returns to the lineup Wednesday. Jose Fernandez will grab a start at shortstop Tuesday while Perdomo resets.

Lauer is slated to start Tuesday's game against the Diamondbacks at Chase Field.

Lauer will receive a second turn through the Dodgers' six-man rotation after a strong showing in his team debut a week ago. The southpaw took losses in five of his final seven appearances with the Blue Jays prior to being traded, but he scooped up a win in his first outing with the Dodgers, limiting the Rockies to one run on four hits and one walk while striking out four batters over six innings. Until the Dodgers get at least one of Tyler Glasnow (back) or Blake Snell (elbow) back from the injured list, Lauer should be able to hold down a rotation spot so long as he performs capably.

Bachar will serve as Miami's opening pitcher for Tuesday's game in Washington, Kyle Sielaff of Marlins.tv reports.

Bachar will make his first start of the season and the second of his career, but he's unlikely to remain in the game for long. The right-hander will likely be limited to an inning or two before giving way to right-hander Ryan Gusto, who will be called up from Triple-A Jacksonville to work in bulk relief.

Young went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Monday's loss to the Marlins.

The center fielder took Sandy Alcantara deep in the second inning to give the Nationals an early 2-1 lead, but the bullpen wasn't able to make it stick in an eventual 7-3 loss. Known for his speed and defensive prowess as opposed to his slugging coming into 2026, Young is up to eight homers on the season, and five of them have come in his last 16 games -- a stretch in which he's slashing a stunning .308/.386/.718 with two steals, seven runs and 10 RBI over 44 plate appearances.

Lovelady (2-3) was charged with a loss and a blown save Monday against the Marlins. He allowed two runs on two hits over two-thirds of an inning and didn't record a strikeout.

Lovelady has been used in several roles throughout the season, as he has two wins, four saves and four holds, but he's also pitched as an opener three times. Monday, he entered the game in the sixth inning after Cade Cavalli allowed a single to Leo Jimenez to lead off the frame, but Lovelady served up a two-run homer to Heriberto Hernandez before hitting Jakob Marsee with a pitch and giving up an RBI double to Connor Norby, saddling him with his first blown save of 2026. Lovelady has made 18 appearances for the Nats since joining the team in mid-April, posting a 3.24 ERA and 1.80 WHIP across 16.2 innings.
