Yankees' Giancarlo Stanton: Strains other calf
Manager Aaron Boone said Saturday that Stanton strained his left calf while running the bases, Jorge Castillo of ESPN.com reports.
Stanton has been on the injured list since late April due to a strained right calf, and he is now dealing with a left calf strain as well after falling down during his most recent baserunning session. The Yankees haven't yet ruled out a return for Stanton later this season, but Boone admitted that it will be difficult for the veteran slugger to return before the end of the year.

Cardinals' Masyn Winn: Nursing thumb injury
Winn has been absent from the Cardinals' lineup the last two days because of left thumb irritation, Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.
Winn injured the thumb Wednesday in Cincinnati when he jammed it into a base. The slick-fielding shortstop has appeared in both games off the bench, indicating that he should be ready to return to the lineup soon. The Cardinals have been covering for Winn by shifting JJ Wetherholt over to shortstop and starting Bryan Torres at second base.

Randal Grichuk LF | CHW
White Sox's Randal Grichuk: Strong production against lefties
Grichuk went 2-for-3 with a solo home run Friday against the Mets.
Grichuk remains a fixture in the White Sox's lineup against lefties and has been productive with the platoon edge. Across 39 plate appearances in August, he has hit .385 with two homers, eight RBI and eight runs scored. However, his last start against a righty came July 19, and his short-side role limits his fantasy appeal.

Everson Pereira LF | STL
Cardinals' Everson Pereira: Likely dealing with fractured hand
The Cardinals fear Pereira suffered a fractured left hand during Friday's loss to the Phillies, Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.
Pereira was struck on the hand by an Orion Kerkering fastball in the top of the eighth inning. He initially stayed in the game to run the bases but did not take the field for the bottom of the frame. Initial testing seems to have revealed bad news, but the Cardinals should offer official word on Pereira later Saturday. If he has indeed suffered a fracture, Pereira's season could be over.

Guardians' Chase DeLauter: Returns to action
DeLauter started in right field and went 1-for-3 in Friday's 9-1 win over the Rockies.
DeLauter returned to action after missing three games due to a hamstring injury. It's a good sign that he returned to the field and was not eased back in at designated hitter. A strong season rages on for the rookie, whose 457 plate appearances are well beyond his previous career high as a professional. DeLauter is hitting .339 (20-for-59) over 15 games during the month of August.
