Mariners president of baseball operations Jerry Dipoto indicated Tuesday that Canzone will have a full-time spot in the middle of the lineup going forward, regardless of the handedness of the opposing starting pitcher, Adam Jude of The Seattle Times reports.

Canzone has only four starts against left-handed pitching this season, but all four of those games have come in the past month. The 28-year-old has just 29 plate appearances versus southpaws this year, but his .994 OPS against them is apparently enough for Seattle to give him a chance as a true everyday player. Canzone had an .839 OPS in 82 regular-season games as a platoon outfielder in 2025, and he appears firmly on his way to a true breakout season with a .273/.349/.551 slash line and career-high 14 homers through 232 plate appearances thus far in 2026.

Atlanta optioned Murphy to Triple-A Gwinnett on Tuesday.

The right-hander was called up Monday and made his debut in the 10th inning against the Mets, taking the loss after giving up two runs (one earned) on a hit and a hit-by-pitch with one strikeout. Murphy will now return to Gwinnett, where he has a 3.88 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and 65:20 K:BB across 11 starts (60.1 innings) this year.

Nunez went 3-for-4 with two runs scored and a stolen base in Monday's win over the Astros.

All three singles were groundballs and two of them never left the infield, as Nunez used his speed to put together a strong line in the box score. The 25-year-old infielder leads the majors with 33 steals on the season, and since the beginning of June he's delivered a .349/.417/.453 slash line over 29 games with one homer, 12 RBI and 15 runs. That surge has boosted his batting average on the season over 50 points, from .189 to a far more respectable .243.

The Orioles recalled Raquet from Triple-A Norfolk on Tuesday.

Raquet has logged three appearances for the Orioles this season, giving up three runs with a 1:2 K:BB. The left-hander will give the club a fresh bullpen arm as it opens a series Tuesday versus the Cubs.

The Twins selected Go's contract from Triple-A St. Paul on Tuesday.

Go was acquired via trade from the Tigers on Sunday and is reporting directly to the major-league roster. The Korean reliever holds a 1.96 ERA and 54:13 K:BB over 41.1 innings between the Double- and Triple-A levels this season. Go -- who turns 28 in August -- will be making his major-league debut when/if he gets into a game.

Benge went 2-for-4 with a walk, a double, a solo home run and a second run scored in Monday's extra-inning win over Atlanta.

The rookie outfielder took Reynaldo Lopez deep in the second inning to get the Mets on the board. Benge has hit safely in 16 of the last 18 games, producing a .282/.325/.500 slash line over that stretch with four of his 11 homers on the season, along with four other extra-base hits, one steal, nine RBI and 10 runs.

Atlanta recalled Karinchak from Triple-A Gwinnett on Tuesday.

The right-hander was optioned to Gwinnett on Friday but will quickly rejoin the MLB bullpen since Tyler Kinley was placed on the paternity list. Karinchak pitched well after being promoted from Triple-A in early June, allowing just two earned runs with a 7:4 K:BB across 8.2 innings.

Atlanta released Hernandez on Tuesday.

The right-hander opened the season on the injured list due to a shoulder cyst and was optioned to Triple-A Gwinnett in mid-April once he was recovered from the issue. Hernandez struggled to a 5.06 ERA, 1.90 WHIP and 26:19 K:BB over 21.1 innings at Gwinnett and will now hit the open market. He has a 3.38 ERA across 59 regular-season appearances in the big leagues, though his career 1.47 WHIP and 16.7 percent walk rate paint him as a volatile relief option.

Atlanta selected Thomas' contract from Triple-A Gwinnett on Tuesday.

The left-hander made his season debut for Gwinnett in late May after completing his rehab from internal brace surgery on his elbow, and he'll now get a look in the majors. Thomas has pitched well at Triple-A with a 1.14 ERA, 0.91 WHIP and 16:7 K:BB across 23.2 innings and should fill a low-leverage relief role while up with Atlanta.

Murphy (0-1) took the loss Monday, giving up two runs (one earned) on one hit in the 10th inning as Atlanta fell 7-6 to the Mets. He struck out without walking a batter.

Making his big-league debut in a high-pressure spot, Murphy retired Francisco Lindor and Carson Benge to begin the frame before hitting Jared Young with a pitch and serving up a two-run double to Luis Torrens. The 22-year-old right-hander is in his first full season since undergoing Tommy John surgery in June 2024, and while he's working out of the bullpen for the big club, his future is still expected to be in the rotation -- over 11 starts since a promotion to Triple-A Gwinnett at the beginning of May, Murphy's posted a 3.88 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and 65:20 K:BB in 60.1 innings.
