Eaton will begin serving a two-game suspension Tuesday, Sean McAdam of MassLive.com reports.

Major League Baseball initially issued Eaton a three-game ban for his role in the bench-clearing altercation between the Red Sox and Nationals last Tuesday, but his suspension has been cut down to two games following an appeal. He'll be eligible to return for Thursday's series finale against the White Sox.

Springer isn't in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Giants.

Springer will miss out on the starting nine for a second straight game since returning from the family emergency list Monday. Sean Keys will fill in as Toronto's designated hitter and bat seventh.

Kirk isn't in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Giants.

Kirk will get a break Tuesday after going 0-for-7 with a walk across his last two starts. Brandon Valenzuela will replace him behind the plate and bat fifth.

The Blue Jays recalled Dallas from Triple-A Buffalo on Tuesday.

Dallas conceded one earned run in 3.2 innings during his MLB debut June 4 and has since given up just one run in 13.2 frames at Triple-A. His strong performance will now buy him another look in the majors, presumably as a long-relief option. Yohendrick Pinango was optioned to Buffalo in a corresponding move.

The Blue Jays optioned Pinango to Triple-A Buffalo on Tuesday.

Pinango has gone just 4-for-23 (.174) in eight games since his return to the big leagues, and he'll now end up as the roster casualty necessary to clear space for Chad Dallas. The 24-year-old Pinango still owns a .726 OPS with Toronto this season and figures to return to the majors later in the year.

The Cardinals designated Zimmermann for assignment before Game 2 of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Brewers.

Zimmermann coughed up three earned runs in five innings while working in bulk relief during the first half of Tuesday's twin bill, and he'll lose his place on the 40-man roster now that his services are no longer needed. Jared Shuster will come up from Triple-A Memphis in a corresponding move to add bullpen depth.

The Cardinals selected Shuster's contract from Triple-A Memphis on Tuesday.

Since his last appearance in the big leagues May 6, Shuster has turned in a 9.00 ERA and 2.39 WHIP alongside a 16:14 K:BB across 18 innings with Memphis. Despite his poor performance, he'll return to the Cardinals' bullpen to give the big club a fresh arm for the second game of its doubleheader against Milwaukee. Bruce Zimmermann was designated for assignment in a corresponding move.

Edman (foot/ankle) will start in left field and bat fifth Tuesday against the Rockies, David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports reports.

Problems with his surgically repaired right foot/ankle kept Edman out of the starting nine for the Dodgers' last two games, though he came in off the bench in both contests. Now healthy and back in the lineup, he'll aim to stay hot after slashing .347/439/.510 with nine RBI and six runs scored in 17 games since his return from the injured list June 17.

Lara is starting in center field and batting second in Game 2 of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Cardinals.

The 21-year-old was promoted prior to the start of the twin bill and didn't see the field in Game 1, but he'll fill a marquee spot in the lineup while making his MLB debut in the nightcap. Lara is one of Milwaukee's top prospects and has posted a .910 OPS with nine homers and 24 steals in 78 games at Triple-A Nashville this season.

Mitchell isn't in the lineup for the second game of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Cardinals.

Mitchell went 2-for-4 and drove in a run during Milwaukee's Game 1 victory, but he'll move to the bench to allow Luis Lara to make his MLB debut while starting in center field during the nightcap.
