  • C.J. Abrams SS | WAS

Nationals' CJ Abrams: Power surge continues

Abrams went 1-for-4 with a walk and a solo home run in Monday's win over the Cardinals.

The shortstop launched the third of three eighth-inning homers by the Nationals as part of a six-run eruption that erased a 6-3 deficit. Abrams has gone yard four times in the last five games and hit safely in seven straight, batting .321 (9-for-28) over the latter stretch with a .750 SLG, eight runs, 11 RBI and two steals.

  • Brady House 3B | WAS

Nationals' Brady House: Crushes second homer

House went 3-for-5 with two doubles and a two-run home run in Monday's win over the Cardinals.

The third baseman drove a Matt Svanson sweeper 423 feet to straightaway center field as part of a three-homer, six run eruption from the Nationals' offense in the bottom of the eighth inning. House has had an impressive start to the season, slashing .333/.400/.583 through 10 games with three doubles, two homers, five RBI and seven runs, but his 4:12 BB:K remains a potential area of concern as the 22-year-old looks to solidify his spot as the future for the organization at the hot corner.

  • Tommy Pham LF | NYM

Mets' Tommy Pham: Could be ready by next week

Pham is set to play for Triple-A Syracuse on Wednesday, and he made need only 3-5 games in the minors before being ready for a promotion, Tim Britton of The Athletic reports.

The Mets suddenly have an opening in left field with Juan Soto (calf) landing on the IL, and Pham could be an option to fill in as soon as next week. In the meantime, Brett Baty (thumb), Tyrone Taylor and Jared Young will split the available corner-outfield reps. The 38-year-old Pham slashed .245/.330/.370 over 120 games for the Pirates last season with 10 homers, five steals, 44 runs and 52 RBI.

  • Rob Zastryzny RP | MIL

Brewers' Rob Zastryzny: Dealing with intercostal strain

Zastryzny (shoulder) was diagnosed with an intercostal strain and will be sidelined until at least late April, Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

The 34-year-old lefty sustained the injury during his rehab assignment over the weekend while working his way back from a shoulder strain. Zastryzny will be sidelined for at least a couple more weeks as he contends with the new injury.

  • Pete Hansen SP | STL

Cardinals' Pete Hansen: Ready for rehab assignment

Hansen (shoulder) will begin a rehab assignment with Single-A Palm Beach on Tuesday.

Hansen has had a delayed start to the minor-league season after developing left shoulder stiffness during spring training. The southpaw posted a 3.93 ERA and 123:37 K:BB over 137.1 innings with Double-A Springfield in 2025 and is set to move up to Triple-A Memphis once he's done with his rehab assignment.

  • Marlins' Heriberto Hernandez: Struggling to begin season

Hernandez went 0-for-4 with a strikeout in Monday's 2-0 loss to the Reds.

The 26-year-old outfielder is struggling to find his 2025 form so far in 2026, going just 3-for-27 (.111) through nine games with a triple, two runs, four RBI and a 4:6 BB:K. For now, Hernandez remains a fixture in the Marlins' lineup in left field against left-handed pitching while still getting occasional starts against righties, but his path to consistent playing time will get a lot narrower once Kyle Stowers (hamstring) is healthy.

  • Hao Yu Lee 3B | DET

Tigers' Hao-Yu Lee: Back from IL

Triple-A Toledo reinstated Lee (oblique) from the 7-day injured list Tuesday, Jason Beck of MLB.com reports.

The 23-year-old opened the season on the injured list due to an oblique strain he suffered in early March, but he's ready to join Toledo after a three-game rehab assignment with Single-A Lakeland. Lee played in 126 games at Triple-A last year and had a .248/.345/.414 slash line with 14 homers and 22 stolen bases.

  • Mauricio Dubon 2B | ATL

Braves' Mauricio Dubon: Goes yard in Monday's loss

Dubon went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Monday's loss to the Angels.

His ninth-inning long ball off Chase Silseth didn't impact the final outcome, but it did continue a hot start at the plate for Dubon. The veteran utility player is slashing .333/.368/.556 through 10 games with two doubles, two homers, six runs and seven RBI as he handles starting shortstop duties for Atlanta. Dubon will be hard to remove from the lineup if he's still providing this much offense when Ha-Seong Kim (finger) is cleared to return, but that decision for manager Walt Weiss is likely still about a month away.

  • Nick Raquet P | BAL

Orioles' Nick Raquet: Reporting to major-league club

The Orioles recalled Raquet from Triple-A Norfolk on Tuesday.

Raquet was acquired via trade from the Cardinals on Monday and will go directly onto the Orioles' roster. The left-hander made two scoreless appearances for St. Louis last season and had allowed one run with a 3:0 K:BB over his first three innings with Triple-A Memphis this season. Raquet will give manager Craig Albernaz another lefty option in the bullpen.

  • Brandon Young SP | BAL

Orioles' Brandon Young: Optioned after spot start

The Orioles optioned Young to Triple-A Norfolk on Tuesday.

Young tossed five shutout innings in a spot start Monday against the White Sox, but the Orioles will nonetheless replace him on the roster with reliever Nick Raquet. Baltimore could recall Dean Kremer from Norfolk when it needs a starter for this weekend against the Giants.
