Red Sox's Payton Tolle: Rays-Red Sox rained out
Tolle and the Red Sox won't face the Rays on Saturday, as the game was postponed due to rain, Gabrielle Starr of the Boston Herald reports.
The two teams will make up Saturday's contest during a doubleheader July 17, and Tolle will presumably make his next start during Sunday's series finale. He'll look to continue his hot streak after turning in a 2.04 ERA and 0.74 WHIP through his first three outings.

Brandon Lockridge OF | MIL
Brewers' Brandon Lockridge: Will get MRI
Lockridge is expected to get an MRI on his injured right knee once swelling subsides, Jack Stern of BrewerFanatic.com reports.
Lockridge needed "about 10" stitches in the knee after crashing into a side wall in the outfield during Friday's contest versus the Yankees. While Lockridge was placed on the injured list Saturday and is currently on crutches, he said the laceration may heal in 7-to-10 days. Should that be the case, and should his MRI come back clean, Lockridge may be able to return to action before the end of May.

Ryan Johnson SP | LAA
Angels' Ryan Johnson: Tosses five frames in rehab start
Johnson (hamstring) completed five innings in a rehab start with Triple-A Salt Lake on Friday, allowing three earned runs on six hits and no walks while striking out five batters.
Johnson was making his second rehab appearance; in his first, he tossed 3.1 scoreless frames for Single-A Rancho Cucamonga on Sunday. Angels manager Kurt Suzuki said after Friday's outing the right-handed hurler "felt great" while mentioning that the team will "talk about" Johnson's next steps, per Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register. Johnson made one start with the big-league club prior to landing on the injured list, and he could move back into the rotation once healthy, especially now that Yusei Kikuchi is facing an extended absence due to a shoulder injury.

Jeremy Pena SS | HOU
Astros' Jeremy Pena: Runs bases Saturday
Pena (hamstring) ran the bases Saturday, Matt Kawahara of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Manager Joe Espada said Friday that running the bases would be the final step in Pena's rehab program before he gets cleared to begin playing in rehab games. The Astros are going to wait to see how he feels Sunday before making any decisions, but Houston's skipper is optimistic that the 28-year-old infielder will be playing in minor-league games within the next couple of days. Nick Allen and Braden Shewmake will continue to start at shortstop for the Astros until Pena is activated.

Danny Jansen C | TEX
Rangers' Danny Jansen: Idle Saturday
Jansen isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Cubs.
Jansen will retreat to the dugout Saturday after going 0-for-3 during a loss in Friday's series opener. Kyle Higashioka will catch for starter Jack Leiter and bat eighth.

Pete Fairbanks RP | MIA
Marlins' Pete Fairbanks: Slated for live BP on Sunday
Fairbanks (hand) is scheduled to throw live batting practice Sunday and will then travel with the Marlins for the team's road series in Minnesota, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.
Fairbanks landed on the IL on April 28 due to nerve irritation in his right hand, but he tossed two bullpen sessions this week and is now lined up to throw to hitters. The veteran reliever is eligible to be activated May 13, and it sounds like he could be back in action that day. Fairbanks will likely reclaim the team's closer role upon his return. Calvin Faucher and Tyler Phillips have notched one save apiece during Fairbanks' absence.
