Bailey went 2-for-3 with a three-run home run in Friday's 9-1 win over the Rockies.

Bailey did his damage late, launching a three-run blast in the seventh inning before adding a double off a position player in the ninth. The defensive-minded backstop has now delivered consecutive two-hit performances for the first time this season, though he still owns a lowly .651 OPS in 14 August contests. On the season, he's slashing .193/.250/.313 with seven homers, 29 RBI, 23 runs scored and three steals across 274 plate appearances with the Guardians and Giants.

Fairbanks (4-4) came away with the win against the Nationals on Friday, allowing one run on one hit and one walk while striking out two batters in one inning.

Fairbanks was brought out for the ninth inning to protect the Marlins' 2-1 lead. He struck out the first two batters he faced, but after Jacob Young got on base and stole second, Fairbanks proceeded to give up an RBI single to Daylen Lile to tie the game up at 2-2. It was the fourth blown save chance of the season for Fairbanks, but he ended up being tagged with the win thanks to Javier Sanoja's walk-off RBI single in the bottom of the frame. Fairbanks has a 3.48 ERA and 0.97 WHIP across 10.1 innings since the All-Star break.

Bazzana went 4-for-5 with three RBI, two runs scored and a stolen base in Friday's 9-1 win over the Rockies.

Bazzana produced his second career four-hit effort, driving in two runs on a single in the fourth inning before adding another RBI knock in the ninth. It was a much-needed performance for the rookie, who entered the contest just 10-for-52 in August and still hasn't homered since July 20. On the year, he's slashing .241/.333/.375 with nine home runs, 39 RBI, 40 runs scored and 18 steals across his first 405 major-league plate appearances.

Gore did not factor into the decision in Friday's 2-1 extra-inning win over the Angels, allowing two hits and one walk while striking out seven over six scoreless innings.

Gore had everything working, generating 21 swinging strikes on 100 pitches while registering at least four whiffs with four different offerings. It continued a strong August for the 27-year-old, who owns a 1.57 ERA through four outings this month, including two scoreless quality starts. He'll carry a 4.26 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 161:52 K:BB across 145.2 innings this season into his next start, which is projected to be a road matchup with the Brewers next weekend.

Nunez went 1-for-3 with two steals during the Nationals' 3-2 loss to the Marlins on Friday.

It was the sixth time this season (and first since July 19 against the Athletics) that Nunez has stolen two bases in a game, though he Nationals couldn't capitalize on that savvy baserunning to bring him home. Nunez leads the majors with 42 steals this season, with Chandler Simpson a distant second with 35 swipes. Nunez has a .568 OPS with 34 RBI and eight extra-base hits across 422 plate appearances in 2026.

Detmers did not factor into the decision in Friday's 2-1 extra-inning loss to the Rangers, allowing six hits and one walk while striking out five over six scoreless innings.

Detmers didn't have his best stuff, generating only nine swinging strikes on 89 pitches, but he pounded the strike zone en route to his second straight scoreless start. Dating back to the fifth inning of his July 17 outing, the southpaw has tossed 16 consecutive scoreless frames, posting a quality start in each of those efforts. He'll take a 3.62 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and 172:44 K:BB across 149 innings this season into a home matchup with the Phillies next weekend.

Sanoja went 2-for-3 with two RBI and a run scored during the Marlins' 3-2 win over the Nationals on Friday.

Sanoja was left out of the Marlins' lineup for Friday's series opener, but he was brought in as a pinch hitter for Owen Caissie in the sixth. Sanoja struck out in that plate appearance, but he more than made up for it in his next two at-bats with consecutive RBI singles, the second of which was the game winner in the ninth inning. He's driven in at least one run in each of his last five outings, going 9-for-19 with two home runs and eight RBI in that span.

Gusto did not factor into Friday's decision against the Nationals, allowing five hits and one walk while striking out two across four scoreless innings.

Gusto allowed at least one baserunner in all four of the frames in which he pitched (including two in both the first and fourth innings), but he managed to keep the Nationals off the board. It was the first time this season that he kept his opponent scoreless while completing at least four frames, and he finished Friday's outing having tossed 62 pitches (48 strikes) while generating six whiffs. Gusto figures to stay in the Marlins' rotation until Max Meyer (neck) returns from the injured list, which may not be until early September. Gusto is lined up to face the Red Sox at home next week.

Pages was removed from Friday's game against the Pirates after getting hit on the hand by a pitch, Jack Harris of the California Post reports.

Pages initially stayed in the game after taking a 100-mph sinker off his hand in the third inning, but he was eventually replaced in center field at the start of the fifth. The Dodgers will likely send him in for imaging to determine whether he suffered a fracture, and an update on his status may come after the game.

Joyce (0-1) blew a save and took the loss against the Rangers on Friday, allowing two unearned runs on two hits and one walk with one strikeout while recording two outs in the 10th inning.

Joyce was summoned to close out a one-run lead in the 10th inning and recorded two quick outs. It was downhill from there, though, as he yielded an RBI double before the game-winning run scored on a throwing error. Despite the end result, the 25-year-old has now gone seven straight outings without allowing an earned run since making his season debut Aug. 5. He owns three saves and one hold over that span to go along with a strong 9:2 K:BB and should remain the club's favorite for save chances down the stretch.
