Jose Ferrer RP | SEA
Nationals' Jose Ferrer: Picks up 10th save
Ferrer earned the save in Wednesday's 4-3 win over Atlanta, allowing a run on two hits while striking out two in the ninth inning.
Ferrer gave up a leadoff homer to Eli White in the ninth before bearing down to pick up his 10th save this year. The left-hander has been struggling of late, giving up six runs on nine hits in his last four appearances (five innings), though he appears to still have a grasp on the ninth-inning job. Overall, Ferrer's posted a 4.36 ERA with a 1.24 WHIP and 68 strikeouts across 74.1 innings this season.

J.T. Realmuto C | PHI
Phillies' J.T. Realmuto: Absent from lineup
Realmuto (finger) is not in the lineup for Wednesday's tilt against the Marlins, Lochlahn March of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
Realmuto had to be lifted from Tuesday's game after taking a foul tip off his right index finger. X-rays came back negative and he should be fine, but Realmuto will sit out at least one contest. Rafael Marchan is catching and batting ninth for the Phillies on Wednesday.

Bryce Harper 1B | PHI
Phillies' Bryce Harper: Held out again with illness
Harper (illness) remains out of the lineup for Wednesday's contest versus the Marlins, Lochlahn March of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
Harper is under the weather and will miss a second consecutive start. He is considered day-to-day. Otto Kemp will play first base and bat fifth for the Phillies.

Bryce Elder SP | ATL
Braves' Bryce Elder: Goes seven innings in loss
Elder (8-11) took the loss Wednesday against the Nationals, allowing three runs on six hits over seven innings. He struck out seven.
While Elder was stuck with the loss, the right-hander made it through seven innings for the fourth time in his last six starts -- he's posted a 2.79 ERA in that span (38.2 innings). Elder will likely wrap up an up-and-down campaign with a 5.30 ERA, 1.39 WHIP and 131:51 K:BB across 28 outings (156.1 innings).

Edmundo Sosa 2B | PHI
Phillies' Edmundo Sosa: Activated from injured list
The Phillies activated Sosa (groin) from the 10-day injured list Wednesday.
Sosa has missed the last couple weeks of action with a right groin strain, but he's been able to work out lately with no issues, clearing the way for his return to the active roster. The activation of Sosa could allow the Phillies to return Bryson Stott to second base until Trea Turner (hamstring) makes his way back this weekend.

Austin Hays LF | CHW
Reds' Austin Hays: Held out again Wednesday
Hays (back) remains out of the lineup for Wednesday's game versus the Pirates.
Hays will miss a third straight start as he deals with back spasms. He went through a pregame workout Tuesday to test out his back and that didn't go well, so it's unclear when he might be ready to play again. Will Benson will grab another start in left field for the Reds.

Isaac Collins LF | KC
Brewers' Isaac Collins: Seeing uneven playing time
Collins is not in the lineup for Wednesday's game in San Diego.
Collins is slashing only .167/.314/.286 in September, and as a result, he's seeing uneven playing time. He's absent from the lineup Wednesday for the second straight game, and he has started only 12 of 21 contests this month. Jake Bauers is in left field and Jackson Chourio will handle center field for the Brewers in the series finale.
