  • Luis Peralta RP | CHC

    Rockies' Luis Peralta: Activated Wednesday

The Rockies reinstated Peralta (hip) from the injured list Wednesday.

Left hip inflammation sent Peralta onto the injured list Sept. 11, but a quick recovery will allow him to provide depth to Colorado's bullpen for the final several games of the 2025 campaign. Ryan Rolison was optioned to Triple-A Albuquerque in a corresponding move.

  • Rockies' Roansy Contreras: Lands on IL with hand injury

The Rockies placed Contreras on the 15-day injured list Wednesday due to a right hand contusion.

Contreras' move to the IL means he'll be shut down for the rest of the season, though he should be ready for spring training. He was claimed off waivers by the Rockies on Sept. 2 after being DFA'd by the Orioles in late August. Across four bullpen appearances for Colorado, Contreras allowed eight runs on nine hits and one walk while striking out four across 8.1 innings.

  • Zach Agnos P | COL

Rockies' Zach Agnos: Back from IL

The Rockies reinstated Agnos (elbow) from the injured list Wednesday.

Agnos has been on the shelf since late July with a strained right elbow, but he'll now return in time to help the Rockies' bullpen through the final five games of the season. The 25-year-old hasn't been particularly effective during his first season in the majors, logging a 6.98 ERA and 1.58 WHIP over 29.2 innings.

  • Rockies' Warming Bernabel: Reinstated, starting Wednesday

The Rockies reinstated Bernabel (concussion) from the 7-day injured list, and he will start at first base and bat eighth against the Mariners on Wednesday.

Bernabel suffered a head injury against the Dodgers on Sept. 8 and was diagnosed with a concussion following the game, but he has cleared MLB's protocol and will play Wednesday. Bernabel has slashed .264/.301/.434 with one steal, 15 runs, four home runs and 14 RBI in 136 plate appearances since making his major-league debut July 26.

  • Padres' Ramon Laureano: Leaves with apparent injury

Laureano was removed from Wednesday's game versus the Brewers after the second inning with an undisclosed injury, Sammy Levitt of 97.3 The Fan San Diego reports.

Laureano struck out in his lone plate appearance in the bottom of the second inning before being replaced in right field for the top of the third. It's unclear what he's dealing with, but the Padres should have an update on Laureano's condition soon.

  • Tyrone Taylor CF | NYM

Mets' Tyrone Taylor: Activated from 10-day IL

The Mets activated Taylor (hamstring) from the 10-day injured list Wednesday.

Taylor has been sidelined for the entirety of September with a strained hamstring, but he's been cleared to rejoin the Mets' active roster. The veteran outfielder should play regularly in center field against left-handed pitching.

  • Jose Siri LF | LAA

Mets' Jose Siri: Designated for assignment

The Mets designated Siri for assignment Wednesday.

Siri is 1-for-12 with nine strikeouts since returning from a nearly five-month stay on the injured list and has managed just two hits in 36 plate appearances this season. His roster spot will be claimed by Tyrone Taylor (hamstring), who has been activated from the 10-day injured list.

  • Kyle Tucker RF | LAD

Cubs' Kyle Tucker: Trending toward return this weekend

Cubs manager Craig Counsell said Wednesday that Tucker (calf) is "trending toward" returning to the lineup this weekend against the Cardinals, 670 The Score reports.

Tucker's recovery from a left calf strain has come slowly, but he's made progress this week and it sounds like he's likely to be activated from the 10-day injured list before the regular season concludes. The Cubs could use him at designated hitter in order to protect his calf, which would mean playing Seiya Suzuki in right field. Tucker has missed nearly all of September with the injury.

  • Cade Horton P | CHC

Cubs' Cade Horton: Undergoing MRI on back

Cubs manager Craig Counsell said Wednesday that Horton (back) will undergo an MRI, 670 The Score reports.

Horton had to be removed from Tuesday's start versus the Mets after just three innings due to back tightness. The move was considered precautionary, and Counsell said Wednesday that he's "optimistic" Horton isn't dealing with anything serious, but the team wanted to have the rookie pitcher tested just in case. Horton is not scheduled for another regular-season start, but he could get the ball in Game 1 of the NL Wild Card Series next week, provided he's healthy enough to do so.

  • Padres' Ron Marinaccio: Demoted Wednesday

The Padres optioned Marinaccio to the Arizona Complex League on Wednesday.

The Padres needed to free up a spot on the active roster for the return of David Morgan (shoulder). Marinaccio will stay ready at the team's spring training complex in Arizona in case he's needed later this week or in the postseason.
