Profar went 1-for-4 with a solo homer and a walk in Thursday's loss to Detroit.

Profar got the Padres on the board with a 411-foot solo homer off Casey Mize in the first inning and later drew a free pass, extending his streak of games with at least one walk to five. The long ball was Profar's 22nd of the season and his first in September -- he's batting just .125 (1-for-8) with two RBI, five walks and a run scored on the month. The outfielder has really struggled at the plate down the stretch, as he also batted just .196 in August. However, he's somewhat been able to make up for his lack of hitting by drawing 18 walks since the start of August, which has helped him score 20 runs over that span.

Reynolds went 1-for-4 with a walk, an RBI, two runs scored and a stolen base Thursday against the Nationals.

Reynolds logged his fourth stolen base in his last 13 games to reach 10 for the season. He remains a very steady contributor overall, as he now has 22 or more home runs in each of the last four seasons and has double-digit steals in each of the last two campaigns.

Bogaerts went 3-for-4 with a two-run homer in Thursday's loss to the Tigers.

Bogaerts jumped on a hanging slider from Casey Mize in the bottom of the second inning and launched it into the left-field stands, extending San Diego's lead to three runs. The infielder would also add two singles to give him his fifth game this season with three or more hits, but his first since July 27 against Baltimore. The long ball was Bogaerts' eighth of the campaign, and he's now batting .357 (5-for-14) in September with three RBI and three runs scored.

Grandal went 1-for-2 with two walks, an RBI and a run scored Thursday against the Nationals.

Grandal has started seven of 12 games behind the plate since Joey Bart (hamstring) went down, and he's enjoyed a productive two-week stretch. He has an eight-game hitting streak, during which he's gone 9-for-24 with a pair of homers, four RBI and six runs scored.

Perez did not factor into the decision in a loss to the Tigers on Thursday, allowing five hits and one walk over 6.1 scoreless innings. He struck out five.

Perez's lone walk came in the opening frame, while he allowed just one runner to reach second base in the contest. Unfortunately for the southpaw, San Diego would go on to squander a 3-0 lead after he departed to prevent him from coming away with the win. It marked Perez's second time this season in which he's hurled six shutout frames, with the previous one coming as a member of the Pirates. Thursday's performance also snapped a streak of six consecutive starts in which he had surrendered at least one home run.

Greene (elbow) threw a bullpen session Thursday, MLB.com reports.

Greene was able to get back on the mound for the first time since landing on the 15-day injured list Aug. 17 after feeling soreness in his elbow. He's scheduled to throw another side session Sunday, and the Reds are hoping he could return from the IL by the end of the season, though the club has not set a target date.

Perdomo batted leadoff and went 2-for-5 with a run scored in Thursday's 3-2 loss to San Francisco.

Perdomo led off the game with a single and eventually scored. Arizona manager Torey Lovullo has moved Perdomo to the leadoff spot against lefties -- he batted second against a right-hander Wednesday -- but he'll likely slide back down the order when Ketel Marte (ankle) returns, which could come as soon as this weekend. Perdomo is 7-for-18 with four RBI and five runs scored over the last five games.

Walker started at first base and went 1-for-4 in Thursday's 3-2 loss to the Giants.

Walker returned to the starting lineup after a day off Wednesday. He was activated off the injured list Tuesday, and the Diamondbacks are easing him back to action after he missed five weeks with an oblique strain. Walker will eventually resume his role as the team's everyday first baseman. Josh Bell, who started in place of Walker on Wednesday, moved to designated hitter Thursday.

Stott went 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBI Thursday against the Marlins.

Stott kicked off the scoring in the first inning for the Phillies with a two-out RBI single, then later added a solo shot, his 11th homer of the season. It was the fourth multi-hit effort over the last 10 games for Stott, but he's failed to collect a hit in each of the other six games during that stretch. Stott is slashing .243/.319/.367 across 496 plate appearances with 30 extra-base hits, 51 RBI, 59 runs and 29 steals in 31 attempts.

Strahm picked up the save Thursday, tossing a perfect ninth inning with one strikeout against the Marlins.

Strahm needed just 10 pitches to lock down his second save in three games and third of the season, getting the call Thursday with a couple of lefties due up for the Marlins. For the season, he maintains a 2.14 ERA and 0.82 WHIP with 69 strikeouts through 54.2 innings.
