Misiorowski posted a 0.00 ERA, 0.45 WHIP and 17:1 K:BB in 11.0 innings over his last two starts with Triple-A Nashville.

Walks have long been a concern in regards to Misiorowski's prospect status, and after issuing 10 free passes over his first three starts of the season, he generated only a trio of base on balls over his last three trips to the mound. If he has indeed turned a corner in the control department, it may not be long before he is plying his trade in Milwaukee.

DeJong isn't expected to return from the 10-day injured list for at least two months after undergoing surgery Monday to repair his nose and sinuses, Bob Nightengale of USA Today reports. He also had a titanium orbital plate inserted as part of the procedure.

DeJong was injured when he was struck on the left side of his face by a 92.7 mile-per-hour fastball in an April 15 game against the Pirates. In addition to breaking his nose, DeJong sustained a huge gash to his cheek and dealt with considerable bleeding in his left eye, resulting in him being rushed to the hospital before he was released the next day. Because he was still dealing with significant swelling near his eye more than week after the incident, DeJong waited until Monday to have his surgery, which was more extensive than anticipated. The Nationals haven't offered up a clear timeline for DeJong to return to action, but the 31-year-old infielder said he expects to resume working out in about a month with the hope of being ready to play in games at some point shortly before the All-Star break. A more precise target date for his return could be established once he's further removed from the surgery.

Soto went 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored Monday in the Mets' 19-5 win over the Nationals.

After turning in his second straight two-hit performance, Soto is now slashing .257/.378/.410 over 127 plate appearances. Though he's been an above-average performer with a 124 wRC+ and more walks (21) than strikeouts (19) through his first 29 games with the Mets, Soto's counting totals (three home runs, two steals, 21 runs and 12 RBI) have been somewhat disappointing relative to what his investors expected on draft day. That said, Soto has a long track record of elite production in the big leagues and doesn't have any major red flags in his underlying hitting metrics early on this season, so fantasy managers should expect his home-run output and batting average to pick up as the weather warms.

Wood went 1-for-4 with a walk and a solo home run in Monday's loss to the Mets.

His massive 438-foot blast to right-center field spoiled a combined shutout bid for New York, coming in the eighth inning off Jose Urena. Wood is one back of Eugenio Suarez and Cal Raleigh for the major-league lead in home runs with nine, and the 22-year-old's longest homer drought of the season so far is only five games. Through 127 plate appearances, Wood is slashing .257/.362/.560 with three steals, 18 runs and 20 RBI as he surges toward a breakout campaign.

Vodnik (shoulder) resumed throwing Saturday, MLB.com reports.

Vodnik landed on the injured list April 20 with shoulder inflammation. He reported that the inflammation has improved significantly, and he's now tracking toward a return in early May.

Estrada (wrist) has resumed fielding drills and light swinging of the bat, MLB.com reports.

Estrada fractured his wrist late in spring training and was recently shifted to the 60-day injured list. This progress is positive news, but he'll be sidelined until at least late May.

Winker went 2-for-4 with two walks, four runs scored and an RBI in Monday's rout of the Nationals.

The Mets combined for 21 hits and 19 runs, and Winker was right in the middle of the offensive eruption as the cleanup hitter. The 31-year-old is beginning to climb out of his early-season hole at the plate, and over his last nine games he's batting .276 (8-for-29) with three doubles, a homer, three RBI and seven runs while working on the strong side of a platoon at DH with Starling Marte.

Trejo went 1-for-4 with a double Monday against Atlanta.

Trejo was acquired by the Rockies on Saturday and promoted to the major-league roster Sunday. With both Aaron Schunk (groin) and Ezequiel Tovar (hip) sidelined, Trejo has started consecutive games at shortstop. He seems to have displaced Kyle Farmer, who had previously played regularly between second base and shortstop.

Vientos went 2-for-4 with two walks, a three-run home run and three additional runs scored in Monday's 19-5 rout of the Nationals.

Hitting ahead of Brandon Nimmo -- who tied a Mets record with nine RBI on the day -- paid dividends for Vientos, but the third baseman also capped the team's offensive eruption in the ninth inning with his third homer of the season. Vientos has hit safely in six straight games and 12 of his last 13, slashing .320/.364/.600 over that stretch with all three of his long balls, 11 runs and 13 RBI.

Waddell could get called up for a spot start or bulk-relief outing during the Mets' series against the Diamondbacks this week, Tim Britton of The Athletic reports.

The 30-year-old southpaw has had a strong start to the season for Triple-A Syracuse, posting a 1.54 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 21:7 K:BB through five starts and 23.1 innings, and Waddell's schedule lines up with the Arizona series -- he last pitched Friday, so he could slot into the rotation Wednesday. Waddell would need to be added to the 40-man roster before getting a promotion, however. He last pitched in the majors in 2021, spending the last three seasons in Korea and China.
