Oviedo (lat) is throwing side sessions without any discomfort, MLB.com reports.

Oviedo has been throwing for roughly five weeks and is set to progress to live batting practice within the next week to 10 days. While he's most of the way through his recovery from Tommy John surgery, the right-hander will require a lengthy rehab assignment that will likely keep him out until some point in July.

Holderman (thumb) received a cortisone injection Wednesday and will not throw for at least one week, MLB.com reports.

Holderman was placed on the injured list May 20 due to inflammation in his thumb. Given that he won't throw until early June, he isn't likely to return for several more weeks.

Davis went 2-for-5 with an RBI and a run scored Wednesday against Arizona.

Davis homered Tuesday after entering the game following Joey Bart's (concussion) departure and slugged a two-run home run. He then started Wednesday and delivered an RBI single in the second inning while also recording his third multi-hit performance in his last five appearances. Davis could get more consistent run in the absence of Bart, though Endy Rodriguez (finger) is also back from the injured list.

Hayes went 1-for-3 with one RBI, a walk and two runs scored Wednesday against the Diamondbacks.

Hayes has struggled at the plate for most of the season and that hasn't changed recently, as he entered Wednesday's game hitless in his last four starts. He ended that streak with an RBI single in the sixth inning to drive in his first run since May 12. Hayes has seven runs scored with three RBI with only a .207 batting average for the month.

Vodnik allowed one walk in a scoreless eighth inning Wednesday against the Cubs.

Vodnik was activated from the injured list Tuesday after a five-week absence due to a shoulder injury. Wednesday marked his first appearance since being reinstated, and he entered the game in the eighth inning with the Rockies down by one run. Vodnik has held opponents scoreless in seven of his 10 appearances, but he has a poor 8:7 K:BB and isn't likely to factor into the closer picture in Colorado until his performance improves.

Chapman went 3-for-4 with two doubles and a run scored in Wednesday's 4-3 loss to the Tigers.

Chapman lined a double into left field during the second inning before coming around to score. He added another double to left during the fourth as well. The third baseman logged a three-hit performance for the second time this season, marking his first multi-hit effort since May 16. Chapman is now slashing .224/.342/.408 with 29 runs scored, 25 RBI, nine homers, nine doubles, five stolen bases and a 24.7 percent strikeout rate across 231 plate appearances this season.

Wade went 2-for-3 with an RBI double in Wednesday's 4-3 loss to the Tigers.

Wade lined an RBI double into right field during the second inning to put the Giants on the board. The first baseman delivered his first multi-hit performance since May 13 and had gone 0-for-10 in his previous three games entering Wednesday. The 31-year-old has struggled this season and is now slashing .171/.278/.279 with 15 RBI, 12 runs scored, 11 extra-base hits -- including one home run -- and a 21:33 BB:K across 164 plate appearances.

Winn went 4-for-5 with two doubles, one RBI and three runs scored in Wednesday's 6-4 win over the Orioles.

Winn was a thorn in the Orioles' side all game, notching his second four-hit game of the season and scoring runs in the fourth, fifth and seventh innings. Over his last 10 contests, the shortstop has logged three multi-hit efforts with three extra-base hits, five RBI and eight runs scored. On the year, he's slashing a solid .278/.357/.438 with six home runs, 20 RBI, 33 runs scored and two steals across 186 plate appearances.

Donovan went 3-for-5 with a two-run home run and an additional run scored in Wednesday's 6-4 win over the Orioles.

Donovan looked healthy after missing Tuesday's contest with hip tightness, smacking a go-ahead home run in the fifth inning. While the homer was his first since April 18, the 28-year-old has slashed .337/.413/.467 in May with nine doubles, seven RBI and 15 runs scored. That production mirrors his strong season line of .335/.395/.481, along with four home runs, 24 RBI, 31 runs scored and three steals across 229 plate appearances.

Canning (5-2) took the loss Wednesday against the White Sox, allowing five runs (three earned) on four hits and four walks with three strikeouts over three innings

Canning had his previous start interrupted by a third-inning rain delay and could only complete three frames in Wednesday's uninterrupted outing. The Mets' defense didn't do Canning any favors, with a pair of errors in the second inning resulting in two unearned runs. Still, Canning struggled to find the strike zone, walking four batters for a second consecutive appearance. In his last five starts, Canning has accumulated a 4.09 ERA and a 19:11 K:BB over 22.0 innings. He's set to face the Dodgers in Los Angeles next time out.
