Marsh (elbow) is absent from the lineup for Wednesday's contest versus the Cubs, Scott Lauber of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

Marsh was lifted from Tuesday's game after hyperextending his left elbow on a slide. It's no surprise he's sitting out Wednesday's matinee, especially with a team off day looming Thursday. However, Marsh is expected to be available off the bench and should have a good shot to return to the lineup Friday versus the Blue Jays, per Scott Lauber of The Philadelphia Inquirer. Johan Rojas will patrol center field and bat ninth for the Phillies on Wednesday.

The Phillies recalled Mercado from Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Wednesday.

Mercado will get his first call-up of the season after he previously made five appearances (two starts) for Philadelphia in 2024. After serving as a swingman between his stops in the minors and majors last season, Mercado has worked exclusively as a reliever for Lehigh Valley in 2025. Over his 17 appearances covering 20.1 innings, Mercado notched a 5.31 ERA, 1.64 WHIP and 22:8 K:BB. He's likely to fill a lower-leverage role out of the Phillies bullpen.

Arenado went 3-for-4 with a two-run homer and three total RBI in Tuesday's loss to the Blue Jays.

Arenado singled in his first two plate appearances, with the second of those plating a run. In the eighth, he turned on a high fastball from Chad Green and put it just over the left-field wall. The long ball was the eighth for Arenado, who is on an 85-RBI pace despite an underwhelming .242/.304/.394 batting line.

Joe will start in right field and bat seventh in Wednesday's game against the Guardians.

Joe has settled into a short-side platoon role for the Reds since joining the team May 10 and will enter the lineup for the series finale while the Guardians send southpaw Logan Allen to the bump. Over his first 16 games with Cincinnati, Joe is slashing .278/.308/.361 with no home runs, one stolen base, three RBI and one run.

Lux is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Guardians.

With lefty Logan Allen on the bump for Cleveland, Lux will take a seat for the series finale along with fellow left-handed hitters Will Benson and Jake Fraley. Lux had started at designated hitter in each of the Reds' last four games, going 4-for-18 with a home run and five RBI.

Fraley is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Guardians.

With lefty Logan Allen on the bump for Cleveland, Fraley will take a seat for the series finale along with fellow left-handed hitters Gavin Lux and Will Benson. Fraley had started in right field in each of the Reds' last four games, going 5-for-12 with a home run, two walks, four runs, three RBI and a stolen base.

Benson is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Guardians.

Stephenson will get some rest for Wednesday's matinee after he started at catcher in both of the first two games of the series in Cleveland. Jose Trevino will spell Stephenson behind the plate in the finale.

Pages is absent from the lineup for Wednesday's game versus the Blue Jays.

Pages will get a breather for Wednesday's day game after catching Tuesday night. Yohel Pozo will start behind the dish and bat eighth as the Cardinals try to avoid being swept.

Donovan (toe) is not in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Blue Jays.

Donovan departed Tuesday's 10-9 loss due to discomfort in the joint of his left big toe, an injury he said he first felt earlier in the day before it got "progressively worse" during the game, Daniel Guerrero of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports. The 28-year-old said that he felt the injury is "not that bad," but he'll still have to sit out Wednesday's matinee. Nolan Gorman will handle second base and bat seventh for the Cardinals.
