Suarez allowed one run on two hits and one walk while striking out two over one inning, taking a blown save in Saturday's 5-4 extra-inning win over the Red Sox.

Suarez's stretch of shaky pitching continued, and it resulted in his second blown save in his last six appearances. He's allowed at least one baserunner in each of those outings. Suarez has still converted 32 of 37 save chances while pitching to a 3.28 ERA, 1.03 WHIP and 51:14 K:BB through 49.1 innings. He's functioned as the Padres' closer even since the team acquired Mason Miller at the trade deadline, but any prolonged stretch of ineffective pitching could see Suarez slip into a committee role or get taken out of the closing conversation altogether in a worst-case scenario.

King (shoulder) allowed two runs on four hits and two walks while striking out one over two-plus innings in a no-decision versus the Red Sox on Saturday.

King threw 61 pitches in his lone rehab start after missing over two months due to the shoulder injury. He didn't get as far in his major-league return, throwing 57 pitches (35 strikes) in a shaky performance Saturday. This suggests he'll still need to build up over his next few outings before returning to a full starter's workload. He's at a 2.81 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 65:19 K:BB through 57.2 innings over 11 starts this season. King is tentatively projected to make his next start on the road against the Dodgers -- if that comes with any type of workload restriction, it will be difficult for him to pitch deep enough to qualify for a win.

Ozuna went 2-for-4 with a pair of home runs and four total RBI during an 8-6 victory against the Marlins in a the second game of Saturday's doubleheader.

Ozuna didn't play in Game 1 but got the start at DH while batting cleanup in Game 2. He certainly did clean up, rocking Miami starter Sandy Alcantara for a pair of homers amounting to four total runs across the fourth and fifth frames. Ozuna has five home runs and 11 RBI across his past 11 contests, helping his case to remain Atlanta's regular DH after losing his grip on that role at times this season. He's started four of the team's past five games following a three-game stretch out of the lineup between Aug. 2 and Aug. 5.

Snell (2-1) earned the win Saturday, allowing three hits and three walks over five scoreless innings against the Blue Jays. He struck out 10.

Snell tossed five scoreless innings and notched his first double-digit strikeout game since joining the Dodgers. While the southpaw has issued at least three walks in three of his four starts this season, he has managed to remain effective throughout his career despite command issues. Limited to 19 innings this year due to left shoulder trouble, Snell owns a 2.37 ERA and 1.53 WHIP with a 22:11 K:BB.

Harris went a combined 4-for-8 with a home run, a double, a stolen base, two total runs and three total RBI in Saturday's doubleheader sweep of the Marlins.

Harris tallied a pair of hits in each contest, though the biggest damage came in Game 1, when he belted a three-run homer. The 24-year-old continued what has been a scorching second half -- since the All-Star break, he's batting .352 with five homers, five doubles, three triples, nine RBI and 13 runs over 21 games. Harris had a .551 OPS in the first half, but he's pushed that mark up to .645 with his extended hot stretch.

Alcantara (6-11) took the loss against Atlanta in the second game of a doubleheader Saturday, allowing five runs on seven hits and four walks while striking out four batters over five innings.

Alcantara was staked to a 4-0 lead heading into the bottom of the fourth inning, but for the second straight game, he fell apart late. Marcell Ozuna tagged him for a solo home run in the bottom of the fourth frame and got to him again for a three-run blast in a four-run Atlanta fifth. In addition to giving up the pair of long balls, Alcantara struggled with his control, issuing four free passes and throwing just 53 of 91 pitches for strikes. Over his last two starts, the veteran hurler has given up 11 earned runs over 12 innings -- though all of those runs have come later than the third inning. It's been a difficult campaign overall for Alcantara, as his ERA now sits at an ugly 6.55 through 23 appearances.

Iglesias earned a save in the second game of Saturday's doubleheader against the Marlins, striking out one batter in a perfect inning.

Iglesias was asked to protect a two-run lead in the ninth inning of the nightcap. He needed just 11 pitches to do so, with the vast majority of those coming on a nine-pitch battle with Otto Lopez that ended in a game-finishing strikeout. Iglesias has looked like his old self of late, converting five consecutive save opportunities across his past seven outings and racking up a 7:0 K:BB while tossing seven scoreless innings during that span.

Tovar went 2-for-4 with a walk, one RBI, one stolen base and one run scored in Saturday's 6-5 loss to the Diamondbacks.

This was Tovar's fourth multi-hit effort over eight games in August. He's now batting .364 (12-for-33) for the month while adding six doubles, five RBI and two steals. Overall, the shortstop appears to be settling in nicely during the second half after an injury-plagued first three months of the season. He's now slashing .274/.316/.452 with six homers, 20 RBI, 27 runs scored and four steals over 50 contests in 2025.

Fedde (4-12) earned the victory against Miami on Saturday, allowing four runs on five hits and four walks while striking out four batters over five innings.

It was far from a dominant performance by Fedde, who needed 102 pitches (only 60 of which were strikes) to get through five frames as he just barely qualified for the victory. The right-hander did at least hold Miami to one extra-base hit (a double), and he was scored upon in only one frame (the fourth, when the Marlins tallied all four of their runs and four of their five hits against him). Fedde's win was his first since May 9 versus Washington; in the interim, he went 0-9 with a 6.37 ERA. He's managed to keep a rotation spot among Atlanta's injury-ravaged starting staff regardless, and he's slated to next face Cleveland on the road.

Doyle went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run in Saturday's 6-5 loss to the Diamondbacks.

Doyle is up to nine homers on the year, including two over seven games in August. He's hit safely in six of those contests, though just two have been multi-hit efforts. The outfielder continues to occupy a starting role despite batting .229 with a .629 OPS across 96 games this season, though he's added 36 RBI, 41 runs scored and 11 stolen bases.
