Robert Suarez RP | ATL
Padres' Robert Suarez: Converts 23rd save
Suarez earned the save in Saturday's 6-4 win over the Reds, allowing two walks while striking out two in a scoreless ninth inning.
Suarez returned from a two-game suspension and was immediately thrust into a save situation, working around two walks to secure the win. The 34-year-old has now delivered three straight scoreless outings and has converted all five of his save chances in June. He leads the majors with 23 saves, accompanied by a 3.41 ERA, 0.96 WHIP and 36:11 K:BB across 34.1 innings this season.

Paul Blackburn RP | NYY
Mets' Paul Blackburn: Knocked around in second inning
Blackburn (0-3) took the loss against the Pirates on Saturday, allowing three runs on six hits while striking out two in one inning. He did not issue a walk.
Blackburn logged both of his strikeouts in the first inning, and the Mets opted to stick with the 31-year-old for the second following an 89-minute rain delay. That turned out to be the wrong move, as he proceeded to issue five straight singles before being lifted for Jose Butto without recording an out in the frame. Blackburn ended up tossing only 33 pitches (21 strikes), and it was the second time this season that he has not made it past two innings in a start. The outing inflated his stats to a 7.71 ERA and 1.98 WHIP across 18.2 innings, and he'll look to bounce back against the Brewers next week at home.

Tyler Glasnow SP | LAD
Dodgers' Tyler Glasnow: May need multiple more rehab starts
Glasnow (shoulder) is expected to require at least two more minor-league rehab appearances before he's activated off the 60-day injured list, Jack Harris of the Los Angeles Times reports.
Per Harris, the Dodgers were hoping Glasnow would be able to reach the fourth inning in his most recent start with Triple-A Oklahoma City on Friday, but he lasted just 2.1 frames despite throwing 66 pitches. Manager Dave Roberts said Saturday that the right-handed hurler's stuff looked fine, but acknowledged that Glasnow struggled with efficiency. Though Glasnow is still expected to require two more rehab starts, he could still return to the Dodgers rotation for the final series prior to the All-Star break.

Emmet Sheehan SP | LAD
Dodgers' Emmet Sheehan: Next start will be at Triple-A
Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said Saturday that Sheehan's next start will come with Triple-A Oklahoma City, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports. "He'll have another [start] with OKC and then at that point in time there might be some things happening," Roberts said.
Sheehan made a strong case to return to the majors in his most recent start with Oklahoma City on Wednesday, as he struck out 13 batters over six perfect frames. While the right-hander appears set to remain in the minors for another start, that may be partly to do with timing, as he's not eligible to return to the big club until the middle of next week. That said, Roberts left the door open for Sheehan to rejoin Los Angeles before long.

Ben Casparius P | LAD
Dodgers' Ben Casparius: Takes loss in bulk relief
Casparius (6-2) took the loss against the Royals on Saturday, allowing six runs on eight hits and one walk with four strikeouts over four innings.
Casparius generated an impressive 13 whiffs on 85 pitches but was ultimately undone by a four-run fifth inning. While he entered the outing with back-to-back wins, the 26-year-old has now allowed 11 earned runs over 12.2 innings in three consecutive appearances working behind Shohei Ohtani. Casparius carries a 3.97 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 54:12 K:BB across 56.2 innings this season and could pitch behind Ohtani again in a home matchup with the Astros next weekend.

Freddie Freeman 1B | LAD
Dodgers' Freddie Freeman: Perfect at plate in loss
Freeman went 3-for-3 with a solo home run, two walks and an additional run scored in Saturday's 9-5 loss to the Royals.
Freeman reached base in all five plate appearances, highlighted by a 421-foot home run that got the Dodgers on the board in the seventh inning. It was a much-needed breakout for the 35-year-old, who hadn't gone deep since May 11 and entered Saturday in a 2-for-28 slump over his previous seven contests. For the season, he's slashing .312/.386/.509 with 10 homers, 43 RBI and 44 runs scored across 306 plate appearances.

Carson Kelly C | CHC
Cubs' Carson Kelly: Idle Saturday
Kelly isn't part of the starting nine for Saturday's game against Houston.
Kelly will yield to Reese McGuire behind the dish against Houston right-hander Lance McCullers. Kelly had caught back-to-back games, going 3-for-7 with an RBI and two runs scored.

Hye Seong Kim SS | LAD
Dodgers' Hyeseong Kim: Could see more playing time
Kim could see more starts at second base going forward now that Tommy Edman is healthy enough to play in the outfield, Jack Harris of the Los Angeles Times reported Saturday.
Kim had been part of the starting lineup in four of the Dodgers' past 13 games, making three starts in center field and one at second base. However, Edman's minor ankle injury is healed enough to allow him to play the outfield, which should open up more opportunities for Kim at the keystone -- the position he's had his most starts at this season. The 26-year-old rookie is slashing .372/.410/.538 with two home runs and six stolen bases in 83 plate appearances. Kim is batting eighth and playing second base Saturday against the Royals.
