Frelick went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Tuesday's win over the Dodgers.

Frelick did not have any success in three at-bats against Clayton Kershaw but was able to send one out against Kirby Yates in the eighth to put the Brewers up 3-1. Frelick now has three homers in his last nine games after hitting just four across his first 80. He has showcased above-average contact skills all season long highlighted by a .293 batting average, and his 12.8 strikeout percentage is currently the eighth lowest in all of baseball.

Brazoban struck out one in a perfect 10th inning Tuesday to record his second save of the season in a 7-6 win over the Orioles.

Edwin Diaz worked the ninth to get the game to extras, and Brazoban closed things out on 11 pitches (eight strikes). His other save this season came back on April 2, and with Diaz posting dominant numbers, Brazoban's high-leverage work will mostly come in setup situations. His recent performances have left him with a shaky grasp on even that role, and since the beginning of June the veteran righty has a 9.95 ERA, 2.05 WHIP and 15:15 K:BB through 12.2 innings.

Ohtani went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk in Tuesday's loss to the Brewers.

Ohtani opened up the game with a leadoff home run against Jacob Misiorowski, but the Dodgers were blanked the rest of the way. It was Ohtani's second home run in July and his sixth home run in his last 15 games. He leads the National League in homers (31), slugging and OPS but is 14th with 57 RBI as the All-Star break approaches.

Diaz (4-0) picked up the win in Tuesday's 7-6 extra-inning victory over the Orioles, striking out one in a perfect ninth inning.

The Mets closer kept the game knotted at 6-6 on 10 pitches (five strikes), with Huascar Brazoban getting the call in the 10th for the save. Diaz has returned to elite form in 2025, allowing just one earned run since April 23 and posting a 0.34 ERA, 0.72 WHIP and 39:6 K:BB in 26.1 innings over that stretch, and on the season he's blown only one save with 18 successful conversions.

Gonzales went 1-for-4 with a solo home run Tuesday against the Royals.

Gonzales took Seth Lugo yard in the seventh inning, delivering his fourth home run of the season and third in his last 17 starts. He's also hit .328 in that span while driving in nine and scoring nine runs. Gonzales doesn't deliver standout power or much stolen base production, but he is locked into the cleanup spot in Pittsburgh's lineup.

Holmes didn't factor into the decision in Tuesday's 7-6 extra-inning win over the Orioles, coughing up five runs on seven hits and a walk over five-plus innings. He struck out five.

The Mets took a 2-1 lead into the bottom of the sixth inning, but Holmes had the wheels come off his start after he plunked Jackson Holliday to begin the frame. The 32-year-old right-hander got the hook after 87 pitches (58 strikes) and escaped his fifth loss of the year when New York rallied late. Holmes hasn't completed six innings in an outing since June 7, and he could be tiring in his first season as a full-time starter since he was a minor leaguer in the Pirates' system. Holmes is expected to handle a smaller workload Sunday in Kansas City as he gets piggybacked by a returning Sean Manaea (elbow/oblique), and he could get extra rest over the All-Star break depending on how the Mets re-shuffle their rotation to accommodate Manaea and Kodai Senga (hamstring). Over his last five starts, Holmes has a 4.32 ERA, 1.48 WHIP and 16:17 K:BB in 25 innings.

Kershaw (4-1) took the loss Tuesday against the Brewers, allowing two runs on six hits and a walk while striking out three in six innings.

Kershaw tossed three scoreless before the Brewers compiled five base hits against him in the fourth, leading to two runs and the eventual loss opposite rookie phenom Jacob Misiorowski. Kershaw managed to go six innings for a third consecutive start, though he's now given up 15 hits over his past two outings. He hasn't been missing a ton of bats, and his 6.2 K/9 would be the lowest mark of his Hall of Fame career. Still, Kershaw owns a 2.57 ERA and 1.06 WHIP over his last six starts and is not set to take the mound again until after the All-Star break.

Cruz went 1-for-4 with a solo home run Tuesday against the Royals.

Cruz continued his all-or-nothing approach at the plate Tuesday by blasting his 16th home run of the season in the fourth inning to tie the game at 1-1. He has four long balls and 10 stolen bases across his last 30 starts, but he's hit just .161 with a .552 OPS and a 33.6 percent strikeout rate in that same span.

Turner blasted a pinch-hit solo home run in Tuesday's 8-1 loss to the Twins.

Turner pinch hit in the ninth inning with the Cubs down 8-0, so his second home run of the season didn't have any effect on the outcome of the game. The veteran has been relegated to a reserve role in Chicago and has struggled, recording a .215/.296/.299 slash line through 125 plate appearances. His .595 OPS is down significantly from the .737 mark he posted last year between Seattle and Toronto, and Turner's lack of regular playing time and subpar production diminish his fantasy appeal.

Hodge allowed six runs on five hits and a walk while retiring only one batter in Tuesday's 8-1 loss to the Twins.

The silver lining is that the Cubs already trailed 2-0 when Hodge entered the game in the eighth inning, so he didn't take the loss, but he otherwise had a miserable performance. The righty served up three home runs in the frame before departing, including back-to-back shots to Ryan Jeffers and Willi Castro. Hodge saw his ERA jump from 4.63 to 6.85 in the process, and he'll need to string together some better appearances to regain trust in the Chicago bullpen.
