Emilio Pagan RP | CIN
Reds' Emilio Pagan: Sets new career high in saves
Pagan allowed a hit and a run while striking out one in a scoreless ninth inning Saturday to record his 21st save of the season in a 5-2 win over the Mets.
The 34-year-old righty established a career high in saves, surpassing the 20 he collected in 2019 -- the only other time he's reached double digits in his big-league career. Pagan is doing his best to improve his trade value as the deadline approaches, and over his last 10 appearances he's posted a 0.96 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 9:3 K:BB in 9.1 innings while converting all four of his save chances.

Nick Martinez SP | TB
Reds' Nick Martinez: Secures another win Saturday
Martinez (8-9) picked up the win in Saturday's 5-2 victory over the Mets, giving up two runs on six hits and two walks over five innings. He struck out five.
The right-hander tossed 60 of 90 pitches for strikes en route to his fourth win in his last five starts. Unfortunately for his ERA, the fifth outing was a 10-run disaster against the Marlins on July 8. Martinez will carry a 4.73 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and 81:27 K:BB through 116 innings into his next trip to the mound, which lines up to come at home next weekend against the Rays.

Taijuan Walker SP | LAA
Phillies' Taijuan Walker: Allows two homers in no-decision
Walker did not factor into the decision in Saturday's 9-5 win over the Angels, allowing three runs on nine hits and one walk with four strikeouts over four innings.
Walker opened with three scoreless innings before giving up back-to-back homers in a three-run fourth. The 32-year-old threw 50 of 70 pitches for strikes but generated just four whiffs and has completed only four frames in both of his starts since rejoining the rotation July 8. He'll take a 3.75 ERA, 1.38 WHIP and 53:25 K:BB across 62.1 innings into a tough matchup with the Yankees next weekend.

Willy Adames SS | SF
Giants' Willy Adames: Carries offense with two homers
Adames went 2-for-3 with two solo home runs in Saturday's 6-3 loss to the Blue Jays.
The shortstop took Eric Lauer deep in the fifth inning to get the Giants on the board before adding another solo shot off Chad Green in the seventh. Adames is up to 14 homers on the season, including four in his last nine games, and he's batting .314 (16-for-51) in July with 10 runs and 14 RBI in 14 contests.

Logan Webb SP | SF
Giants' Logan Webb: Peppered in loss
Webb (9-7) took the loss Saturday, giving up four runs on 11 hits and a walk over six innings as the Giants were downed 6-3 by the Blue Jays. He struck out one.
The right-hander wasn't hit especially hard, but the damage added up from three doubles and eight singles. It's only Webb's second loss in nine starts since the beginning of June, a stretch in which he's delivered a 3.39 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 56:12 K:BB over 58.1 innings. He'll look for a better result in his next outing, which lines up to come at home next weekend against the Mets.

Trea Turner SS | PHI
Phillies' Trea Turner: Reaches 25 steals in win
Turner went 1-for-3 with two walks, one RBI, one run scored and a stolen base in Saturday's 9-5 win over the Angels.
Turner played a key role in the Phillies' comeback win, delivering an RBI single and stealing second in the fifth inning before walking and scoring in the sixth. Though he's gone just 13-for-53 in July, the shortstop has hit safely in 10 of 13 games this month and still leads the National League with 114 hits. He's slashing .289/.345/.430 with 11 home runs, 41 RBI, 64 runs scored and 25 steals across 432 plate appearances.

Phillies' Kyle Schwarber: Crushes grand slam in win
Schwarber went 2-for-4 with a grand slam, a double, a walk and an additional run scored in Saturday's 9-5 win over the Angels.

The lefty slugger has followed up his All-Star Game MVP showing by homering in back-to-back games since the break, and he's now hit safely in 10 of 13 contests in July with seven long balls. For the year, he's tied for fourth in the majors with 32 home runs while slashing .251/.382/.563 with 74 RBI, 70 runs scored and nine steals across 435 plate appearances.

Enrique Hernandez 3B | LAD
Dodgers' Enrique Hernandez: Still experiencing pain
Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said Saturday that Hernandez (elbow) is "in a holding pattern" until he's pain-free, Sonja Chen of MLB.com reports.
Hernandez landed on the 10-day injured list due to left elbow inflammation July 7, and the initial expectation was that the utility man could be back right after the All-Star break. However, Hernandez's return date is now hazy given that he hasn't yet been able to resume baseball activities. Hernandez had been struggling prior to moving to the IL, going 2-for-24 over his previous 10 contests.

Michael Kopech SP | LAD
Dodgers' Michael Kopech: Begins throwing
Kopech (knee) began a throwing program Saturday, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.
Kopech underwent surgery in early July to repair a torn meniscus in his right knee. He moved to the 60-day IL shortly afterward, so he isn't eligible to rejoin the active roster until Aug. 27, but the 29-year-old reliever said Saturday that he's optimistic he'll be ready by then.
