Taijuan Walker SP | PHI
Phillies' Taijuan Walker: Dazzles against Orioles
Walker (4-5) got the win over the Orioles on Tuesday, tossing six scoreless innings while allowing just four hits, no walks and striking out four.
Walker was brilliant Tuesday night, completing six innings without allowing a run or a walk for the first time since September of 2016. Walker's made 13 starts this season and this marked just his second time reaching six innings. Since returning to the rotation in July, Walker owns a 3.28 ERA 1.26 WHIP and 14:3 K:BB in 24.2 innings across five starts. With Aaron Nola (ankle/rib) nearing a return, it's up in the air whether Walker will get another turn in the rotation or if he'll return to relief duty.

Hunter Goodman C | COL
Rockies' Hunter Goodman: Goes deep in loss
Goodman went 2-for-3 with a two-run home run, a walk and an additional run scored in Tuesday's loss to the Blue Jays.
Goodman got the scoring started with a two-run homer off Jose Berrios in the first inning, marking his 22nd long ball of the season. The catcher has remained a steady power threat all year and has now gone deep four times in his past seven games. Anthony Molina RP | ATL
Rockies' Anthony Molina: Serves up five homers
Molina (0-1) took the loss Tuesday, allowing seven runs on nine hits and a walk over five innings against the Blue Jays. He struck out two.
Molina made it through five innings Tuesday, but surrendering five home runs proved costly in the Rockies' loss. It was the right-hander's first MLB appearance since June 25, and his struggles have extended to Triple-A Albuquerque, where he's posted a 6.59 ERA and 1.89 WHIP across 69.2 innings this season.

Lourdes Gurriel LF | ARI
Diamondbacks' Lourdes Gurriel: Powers up in loss
Gurriel went 2-for-5 with two home runs and four RBI in Tuesday's 10-5 extra-innings loss to the Padres.
Gurriel opened the scoring with a two-run blast in the first inning and repeated the feat in the eighth to tie the game at 5-5. He had gone over a month without a homer, batting a modest .235 (23-for-98) during his 24-game power drought. He also had just seven extra-base hits (six doubles, one triple) and eight RBI in that span. Gurriel is up to 14 homers, 56 RBI, 37 runs scored, eight stolen bases and a .249/.296/.412 slash line through 104 games this season.

Ryne Nelson SP | ARI
Diamondbacks' Ryne Nelson: Fine work in no-decision
Nelson allowed two runs on six hits and two walks while striking out eight over 5.2 innings in a no-decision versus the Padres on Tuesday.
Nelson has racked up a season-high eight strikeouts in each of his last two starts. Since the beginning of July, he's made six starts, allowing 12 runs (nine earned) over 34 innings while posting a 30:9 K:BB in that span. That's right in line with his 3.20 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 89:30 K:BB through 101.1 innings over 24 appearances (14 starts) this season. Nelson is tentatively projected for a road start versus the Rangers early next week.

Manny Machado 3B | SD
Padres' Manny Machado: Three-hit effort in win
Machado went 3-for-5 with a double, a walk and two runs scored in Tuesday's 10-5 extra-innings win over the Diamondbacks.
Machado has hit safely in 12 of his last 13 games, going 24-for-54 (.444) in that span. The third baseman had cooled off to begin August, going just 3-for-15 over his first four games of the month before his bat roared back to life Tuesday. On the year, he's at a stellar .302/.362/.505 slash line with 20 home runs, 29 doubles, 72 RBI, 68 runs scored and 10 stolen bases through 114 contests.

Ramon Laureano LF | SD
Padres' Ramon Laureano: Drives in three in win
Laureano went 3-for-6 with a double, a triple, three RBI and one run scored in Tuesday's 10-5 extra-innings win over the Diamondbacks.
Laureano came up a homer shy of the cycle in another strong performance as he continues to look comfortable as a Padre. He gave San Diego its first lead of the game with a two-run double in the seventh inning before adding an RBI single during a rally in the 11th. The outfielder has gone 8-for-22 (.364) with four extra-base hits and five RBI over five contests for San Diego. Overall, he's at a .295/.356/.544 slash line with 16 home runs, 51 RBI, 49 runs scored, four stolen bases, 18 doubles and two triples across 87 games between the Padres and the Orioles.

Bogaerts went 2-for-5 with a solo home run, a walk, a stolen base and a second run scored in Tuesday's 10-5 extra-innings win over the Diamondbacks.
Bogaerts lifted a solo shot in the second inning to get the Padres on the board. This was his third homer since the All-Star break and his eighth long ball of the year. He's batting .271 (19-for-70) since the break, but he's supplied a modest eight RBI in that 17-game span. Overall, the shortstop has a .268/.338/.387 slash line with 39 RBI, 49 runs scored, 24 doubles and 17 steals over 112 contests this season.

Yu Darvish SP | SD
Padres' Yu Darvish: Struggles with control
Darvish allowed three runs on three hits and two walks while striking out five over four innings in a no-decision versus the Diamondbacks on Tuesday.
It wasn't a terrible start, but Darvish wasn't dialed in. He threw just 45 of 72 pitches for strikes and also unleashed two wild pitches during this outing. Aside from his seven innings of two-hit ball versus the Mets last Wednesday, Darvish has been largely unremarkable after missing the first three months of the season due to an elbow injury. He's at a 6.51 ERA, 1.34 WHIP and 23:11 K:BB through 27.2 innings across six starts. Darvish is tentatively projected for a road start in San Francisco early next week.

Nolan Gorman 3B | STL
Cardinals' Nolan Gorman: Launches 10th homer
Gorman went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run and a second run scored in Tuesday's 12-6 loss to the Dodgers.
Gorman's blast in the second inning tied the game at 2-2. He's hit safely in all four of his games since returning from a back injury that landed him on the injured list for a brief stay. He's up to 10 homers on the year while slashing .227/.311/.417 across 70 contests. Despite the middling power production, the infielder is trending in the right direction and has a clear path to playing time while Nolan Arenado (shoulder) is out.
