  • Dodgers' Freddie Freeman: Drives in three in loss

Freeman went 1-for-3 with a solo home run, two walks and three total RBI in Sunday's 5-4 loss to the Blue Jays.

Freeman hit a go-ahead solo shot in the first inning before forcing in runs with bases-loaded walks in the second and eighth frames. The first baseman has hit safely in 10 of his last 12 games, going 18-for-45 (.400) with four homers and 14 RBI in that span. Overall, he has a .305/.378/.491 slash line with 14 long balls, 66 RBI, 57 runs scored and two stolen bases across 105 games this season. He's continued to provide steady contact despite a 22.6 percent strikeout rate that is his highest since 2016.

  • Shohei Ohtani DH | LAD

Dodgers' Shohei Ohtani: Stays hot Sunday

Ohtani went 2-for-4 with a solo home run, two walks and a stolen base in Sunday's 5-4 loss to the Blue Jays.

Ohtani tied the game at 1-1 with his leadoff homer in the bottom of the first inning. He still hasn't been held hitless in August, going 16-for-35 (.457) with three homers, four RBI and four steals during his nine-game hitting streak to begin the month. He had multiple hits in all three games against Toronto. He's up to a .284/.388/.620 slash line with 41 long balls, 77 RBI, 111 runs scored and 17 steals through 116 games this season.

  • Jett Williams SS | MIL

    Mets' Jett Williams: Joining Triple-A

The Mets promoted Williams from Double-A Binghamton to Triple-A Syracuse on Sunday, Pat Ragazzo of SI.com reports.

Williams will move up to Triple-A after slashing .281/.390/.477 with 10 home runs and 32 stolen bases over 96 games with Binghamton this season. Regarded as one of the Mets' top prospects, the 21-year-old Williams likely won't be in the mix for anything more than a September call-up, but he could emerge as an everyday player for the big club at some point in 2026.

  • Tyler Glasnow SP | LAD

Dodgers' Tyler Glasnow: Strikes out eight in no-decision

Glasnow allowed two runs on four hits and four walks while striking out eight over 5.2 innings in a no-decision on Sunday versus the Blue Jays.

Glasnow threw 53 of 86 pitches for strikes, but he came up just one out shy of a quality start after running into trouble in the sixth inning. He's had some issues with walks lately -- he's allowed a modest seven runs over 16.2 innings across his last three starts, but he has an 18:11 K:BB in that stretch. Overall, Glasnow is at a 3.08 ERA, 1.12 WHIP and 64:27 K:BB through 52.2 innings across 11 starts this season. He's lined up for a home start versus the Padres in his next outing.

  • Jonah Tong RP | NYM

Mets' Jonah Tong: Makes jump to Triple-A

The Mets promoted Tong from Double-A Binghamton to Triple-A Syracuse on Sunday, Will Sammon of The Athletic reports.

Tong will make the leap to Triple-A after posting a 1.59 ERA with an eye-popping 162 strikeouts over 102 innings in 20 starts with Binghamton this season. The right-hander will be the headliner of a prominent trio of starting pitching prospects at Syracuse that also includes Brandon Sproat and Nolan McLean.

  • Rockies' Braxton Fulford: Three-hit effort in loss

Fulford went 3-for-4 with one run scored in Sunday's 13-6 loss to the Diamondbacks.

During his current stint in the big leagues, Fulford has gone 4-for-14 with three strikeouts and one walk. He has been in the lineup for four of seven games since he was called up last Sunday, making two starts each at catcher and designated hitter. He's also started twice against right-handed pitchers, so it doesn't appear he'll be strictly platooned. Over 57 plate appearances in the majors, the 26-year-old has posted a .259/.281/.389 slash line with one home run, 11 RBI, five runs scored, one stolen base, two doubles and one triple.

  • Ezequiel Tovar SS | COL

Rockies' Ezequiel Tovar: Racks up three more hits

Tovar went 3-for-4 with two doubles and two runs scored in Sunday's 13-6 loss to the Diamondbacks.

Tovar went 5-for-12 over this three-game series versus Arizona, though he supplied just one RBI in that stretch. He's up to five multi-hit efforts in August, batting .405 (15-for-37) over nine contests this month. The shortstop is up to a .284/.324/.468 slash line with six home runs, four stolen bases, 20 RBI and 29 runs scored over 216 plate appearances. His .792 OPS is the highest it has been since May 26.

  • Ryan Harbin RP | PIT

Pirates' Ryan Harbin: Promoted to Triple-A

Harbin was promoted to Triple-A Indianapolis on Sunday, Anthony Murphy of DKPittsburghSports.com reports.

Harbin has posted a 3.66 ERA and 1.22 WHIP with 31 strikeouts over 19.2 innings in 14 appearances with Double-A Altoona this season. The right-hander boasts a fastball that can reach triple-digits, and if he can further develop his control, there's no reason Harbin can't be a valuable member of the Pirates' bullpen down the road.

  • Brenton Doyle CF | COL

Rockies' Brenton Doyle: Homers again Sunday

Doyle went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run in Sunday's 13-6 loss to the Diamondbacks.

Doyle went yard in the seventh inning, but it was too late to turn things around for the Rockies. He's homered in back-to-back games and now has 10 long balls on the year as he continues an August resurgence. Overall, the outfielder is slashing .232/.279/.363 with 38 RBI, 42 runs scored and 11 stolen bases over 97 contests. He is batting .414 (12-for-29) in August.

  • Tanner Gordon RP | COL

Rockies' Tanner Gordon: Lit up again Sunday

Gordon (2-5) allowed 10 runs on 12 hits and struck out six without walking a batter over 4.2 innings to take the loss versus the Diamondbacks on Sunday.

Gordon gave up just one home run -- a three-run shot to Adrian Del Castillo in the first inning -- but the Colorado right-hander couldn't generate much weak contact. He threw 61 of 77 pitches for strikes, but Arizona pieced together a huge rally in the fifth inning that ultimately knocked him from the game. Gordon has been awful in the majors this year with an 8.37 ERA, 1.89 WHIP and 22:8 K:BB through 33.1 innings over seven starts. With Chase Dollander reportedly being called up to pitch Monday versus the Cardinals, per Thomas Harding of MLB.com, it's possible Gordon could be the corresponding move given his recent struggles, though the Rockies have plenty of candidates to be jettisoned to Triple-A Albuquerque.
