    Devanney will take a seat for the series finale after he went 2-for-17 with a 1:9 BB:K while starting five of the previous six games. With Devanney on the bench, Jared Triolo will slide over from his usual spot at shortstop and pick up a start at third base.

    Frelick is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Pirates.

    It's the second absence in the past four contests for Frelick, who has gone 6-for-16 with three walks, a double, a stolen base, an RBI and four runs through his first five games of September. Isaac Collins, Blake Perkins and Jake Bauers are starting in the outfield Sunday for the Brewers.

    Pirates' Henry Davis: Taking seat Sunday

    Davis is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Brewers.

    The 25-year-old backstop had started behind the plate in four of the previous six games, but he'll cede catching duties to Joey Bart in the series finale. Davis hasn't provided much to get excited about for fantasy purposes lately, slashing .145/.203/.274 since Aug. 1 with two home runs, one stolen base, seven RBI and six runs in 21 games.

  • Brewers' Christian Yelich: Absence continuing Sunday

    Yelich (back) is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Pirates.

    Yelich took some swings in the batting cage Saturday with no issues and responded "we'll see" when asked if he'll be available to pinch hit Sunday, per Adam McCalvy of MLB.com. William Contreras is resting his legs as the designated hitter in the series finale, allowing Danny Jansen to pick up a start behind the plate.

    Pirates' Tommy Pham: Resting Sunday

    Pham is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Brewers.

    Pham will get a breather after going 9-for-39 (.231) with one home run, three doubles, three walks, 11 RBI and four runs while starting each of the last 10 games. With Pham on the bench for the series finale, the newly recalled Ji Hwan Bae will pick up a start in left field.

  • Phillies' Harrison Bader: Not in Sunday's lineup

    Bader is out of the lineup for Sunday's game at Miami.

    Bader will head to the bench Sunday after a run of seven straight starts, during which he batted .286 (8-for-28) with three doubles, a homer, five RBI and six runs. Max Kepler, Brandon Marsh and Nick Castellanos will start from left to right in the outfield in the series finale versus Miami.

    Pirates' Ryan Kreidler: Sent back to Triple-A

    The Pirates optioned Kreidler to Triple-A Indianapolis on Sunday.

    After being called up from Triple-A a week ago, Kreidler didn't appear in any games during his brief stay in the majors. The Pirates will replace him on the active roster with utility player Ji Hwan Bae, who was recalled from Indianapolis.

    Pirates' Ji Hwan Bae: Called up, starting Sunday

    The Pirates recalled Bae from Triple-A Indianapolis on Sunday. He'll start in left field and bat ninth in the Pirates' series finale versus the Brewers.

    Pittsburgh optioned Ryan Kreidler to Triple-A to make room on the active roster for another utility type in Bae, who will be back with the Pirates for the first time since mid-May. While spending the majority of the season at Indianapolis, Bae has produced a .282/.377/.411 slash line with one home run and 23 stolen bases across 289 plate appearances.

  • Phillies' J.T. Realmuto: Receiving breather Sunday

    Realmuto is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Marlins.

    Realmuto started the previous seven games and will receive Sunday off, which will put his modest four-game hit streak on hold, barring an appearance off the bench. Rafael Marchan is stepping in behind the plate for the series finale in Miami.

    Cardinals' Alec Burleson: Set for Monday return

    Burleson (wrist) is expected to be activated from the 10-day injured list ahead of Monday's game against the Mariners, Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.

    Burleson will make his return to the Cardinals without going out on a rehab assignment beforehand. The 26-year-old slashed .286/.337/.451 with 16 home runs and five stolen bases across 470 plate appearances before being deactivated Aug. 29 due to right wrist inflammation.
