Emmanuel Rivera 3B | BAL
Orioles' Emmanuel Rivera: Sitting after seven straight starts
Rivera is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Pirates.
After seeing his eight-game hitting streak come to an end following an 0-for-4 performance in Tuesday's 3-2 win, Rivera will get a breather Wednesday. Jeremiah Jackson will step in at third base in place of Rivera, who had started in each of the previous seven games.

Miguel Vargas 3B | CHW
White Sox's Miguel Vargas: Activated, in lineup Wednesday
The White Sox activated Vargas (hand) from the 10-day injured list Wednesday.
He will start at third base and bat sixth in Wednesday's game versus the Rays, marking his return to action following nearly a two-week absence with a left hand sprain. Vargas bypassed a rehab assignment, as the White Sox were satisfied with how he looked and felt while reincorporating baseball activities over the last few days.

Jeremiah Jackson 2B | BAL
Orioles' Jeremiah Jackson: Ready to start after elbow scare
Jackson (elbow) will start at third base and bat second in Wednesday's game against the Pirates.
Jackson was lifted for a pinch runner in the bottom of the eighth inning Tuesday after being hit in the right elbow by a 95.5-mph sinker, but he was fortunate to escape with little more than a bruise. The 25-year-old apparently isn't feeling too sore a day later, so he'll occupy his usual spot in the two-hole as the Orioles go up against Pirates ace Paul Skenes.

Gerrit Cole SP | NYY
Yankees' Gerrit Cole: Making 45 flat-ground throws
Cole (elbow) is scheduled to make 45 throws from 75 feet Wednesday as he continues his rehab from Tommy John surgery, Jack Curry of YES Network reports.
Cole began a throwing program in August and said Wednesday that he "feels great" as he moves along in the rehab process. The veteran right-hander had Tommy John surgery with internal bracing in March and has an outside shot of being ready Opening Day next season, though a stay on the injured list at the start of the 2026 campaign appears likelier.

Sam Antonacci LF | CHW
White Sox's Sam Antonacci: Reaches 45 steals
Antonacci is slashing .294/.442/.366 with zero home runs, 18 steals, a 13.5 percent walk rate and a 14.5 percent strikeout rate in 45 games for Double-A Birmingham.
Antonacci, who will play in the Arizona Fall League this year, was selected by the White Sox in the fifth round last year and received a $572,500 bonus out of Coastal Carolina. Despite the fact Antonacci has hit four home runs in 135 career games, he has been at least 50 percent better than the average hitter in every league he has played in, thanks to superb swing decisions and bat-to-ball ability. He has a 5.9 percent swinging-strike rate this year as an age-appropriate hitter at Double-A and his contact rates have always been elite. Antonacci has 45 steals in 112 games this year and figures to get a good amount of work at Triple-A next year, with a big-league debut not out of the question. Similar production to Nico Hoerner would be a best-case scenario for Antonacci in fantasy, although the latter's defense at the keystone is merely average while Hoerner's is double-plus, and the White Sox have a handful of infielders set to compete for playing time in the coming years.

Trey Gregory-Alford SP | LAA
Angels' Trey Gregory-Alford: Shows monster stuff in debut season
Gregory-Alford logged a 1.42 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 20:13 K:BB in 25.1 innings for Single-A Inland Empire.
A hard-throwing righty who received just under $2 million after the Angels selected him in the 11th round last year, Gregory-Alford logged a 3.54 ERA, 1.37 WHIP, 48:20 K:BB and 59.5 percent groundball rate in 53.1 innings in the Arizona Complex League before getting the bump to Single-A. He has an impressive 6-foot-5 frame and sits 96-99 mph with his fastball while touching 90 mph with his hard slider. Gregory-Alford doesn't turn 20 until May, so he'll probably be touching triple digits regularly in the coming years if he stays healthy. His control and arsenal depth are current weaknesses, but the right-hander is a more exciting pitching prospect than his 10.6 K-BB% on the year indicates.

Dylan Jordan SP | LAA
Angels' Dylan Jordan: Getting better as season goes on
Jordan has a 0.94 ERA, 0.98 WHIP and 30:9 K:BB in 28.2 innings across seven starts for Single-A Inland Empire.
The 19-year-old righty logged a 3.21 ERA, 1.36 WHIP and 55:21 K:BB in 47.2 innings in the Arizona Complex League before getting the bump to Single-A. He logged a groundball rate over 55 percent at both stops thanks to a strong sinker/slider combination. His fastball has been trending up and may continue to do so as he fills out his projectable 6-foot-3, 205-pound frame. Jordan's changeup lags behind, but he was still able to hold left-handed batters to a .648 OPS this year. Jordan is an up-and-coming pitching prospect whom the aggressive Angels could push to Double-A at some point in his age-20 season.

Mike Yastrzemski LF | ATL
Royals' Mike Yastrzemski: Out for second straight vs. LHP
Yastrzemski is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Guardians.
For the second day in a row, the left-handed-hitting Yastrzemski will hit the bench while the Royals face off against another left-handed starting pitcher (Logan Allen). Kansas City will run out an outfield of Randal Grichuk, Kyle Isbel and Jac Caglianone from left to right Wednesday.

Michael Massey 2B | KC
Royals' Michael Massey: Idle against lefty again
Massey is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Guardians.
The left-handed-hitting Massey will hit the bench for the second straight day while the Guardians send another lefty (Logan Allen) to the bump. Massey has played fairly regularly against right-handed pitching since he returned from the injured list Aug. 25, but he might have to settle for more of a part-time role after the Royals got Jonathan India back from the injured list Tuesday.
