Fedde (0-5) took the loss Saturday, coughing up eight runs on 10 hits and two walks over 3.1 innings of relief as the White Sox were routed 10-3 by the Giants. He struck out three.

Entering the game as the bulk reliever with one out in the second inning, Fedde kept San Francisco off the board until the fourth, when things completely unraveled. The veteran righty has been tagged for 18 runs in 16 innings over four outings in May, inflating his ERA from 3.24 to 5.47. Fedde will try to turn things around in his next trip to the mound, which lines up to come at home next week against the Twins.

Coulombe (neck) will be activated from the 15-day injured list Sunday, Christopher Smith of MassLive.com reports.

The journeyman lefty will slot back into the Boston bullpen after landing on the IL back on May 4 with cervical spasms. Coulombe has since made a couple rehab appearances, one with Double-A Portland and one with Triple-A Worcester. He has posted a 5.63 ERA, 1.50 WHIP and three holds in eight innings spanning 12 appearances with the big club this season.

Seager (back) was supposed to face live pitching Sunday, but that session has been postponed, Shawn McFarland of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Manager Skip Schumaker said Saturday that Seager's recovery "wasn't where we wanted it to be" after Friday's workout, and thus, plans have changed for the shortstop. "We're trying to figure out the next steps," Schumaker added. Seager now seems highly unlikely to return when first eligible, and his availability for the Rangers' upcoming homestand is in doubt.

Taylor has reversed his retirement decision and was placed on the injured list at Triple-A Salt Lake on Saturday with a left forearm fracture, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.

One day after his retirement, Taylor has reversed course, though he will be out indefinitely with the forearm injury and it remains to be seen if he will ever actually play again professionally. The 35-year-old made an All-Star team in 2021 and won two World Series rings with the Dodgers, but he has been stuck in neutral at Salt Lake this season, slashing .255/.382/.321 without a home run over 132 plate appearances.

Grissom isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Rangers, Erica Weston of Bally Sports West reports.

Grissom will remain on the bench for a second consecutive game after going 1-for-12 with two RBI during the Angels' last series against the Athletics. Oswald Peraza will get the nod at the keystone Saturday, and Donovan Walton will man the hot corner.

O'Hoppe (head) isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Rangers, Erica Weston of Bally Sports West reports.

O'Hoppe was put through concussion protocol after he collided with Josh Jung during Friday's contest, but he said Saturday that he cleared it and is out of the lineup simply as a precaution, per Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com. Sebastian Rivero will pick up a start behind the plate while O'Hoppe sits, and the latter will presumably aim to return to the starting nine Sunday.

Hoffman notched a save against the Pirates on Saturday, striking out all three batters he faced in a scoreless inning.

Hoffman entered in the ninth inning with Toronto holding a three-run lead and dominated with three punchouts, throwing nine of 13 pitches for strikes. The save was Hoffman's second in the past three days after he lost his hold on the closer role in late April. Louis Varland has since taken up that mantle and has thrived, but he was presumably unavailable Saturday after tossing two frames en route to a save Friday. With that in mind, Hoffman probably isn't a reliable target for saves moving forward, though he's pitched relatively well in May, giving up four earned runs while recording a 13:1 K:BB over 10.1 innings spanning 11 appearances.

Corbin (2-1) earned the win over Pittsburgh on Saturday, allowing one run on five hits and no walks while striking out seven batters over six innings.

Corbin looked to be in for a tough matchup with Paul Skenes working as the opposing starter, but the veteran lefty excelled in route to the victory. Corbin completed six innings for the first time on the campaign and notched a season-high seven punchouts while throwing 57 of 84 pitches for strikes. He hadn't been able to finish five frames in either of his past two starts, so this was a great bounce-back effort. Corbin will carry a 3.86 season ERA into his next start, which lines up as a road tilt in Baltimore.

Alvarez (back) won't be in the lineup for Sunday's series finale against the Cubs, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.

Alvarez was pulled from Saturday's contest in the sixth inning due to back spasms, but he said after the game that his absence Sunday had already been planned and has nothing to do with his injury. Scheduled or not, a day off for Alvarez will give his back more time to recover and help his chances of returning to the lineup for Monday's series opener against the Rangers.

Walker went 3-for-3 with a pair of home runs, a walk and three total RBI in a 3-0 win against the Cubs on Saturday.

Walker accounted for all of the scoring in the contest, belting a two-run homer in the first inning and a solo shot in the fourth. He had three of the Astros' four hits against Cubs starter Colin Rea and reached all four times he came to the plate. Walker is enjoying a strong second season in Houston, posting a .266/.340/.521 slash line with 13 homers, 10 doubles, 30 runs and 34 RBI through 53 games.
