Gavin Sheets 1B | SD
White Sox's Gavin Sheets: Hitting bench Sunday
Sheets is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Twins.
Sheets had been scheduled to get the day off in Saturday's 6-2 loss, but he ended up starting at first base while going 0-for-3 with a run scored after Andrew Vaughn was scratched with an illness. With Vaughn drawing back into the starting nine Sunday, Sheets will get the chance to rest up in the series finale.

Dominic Fletcher CF | PIT
White Sox's Dominic Fletcher: Taking on regular role in outfield
Fletcher is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Twins.
Fletcher had started each of the White Sox's last four games in the outfield, going 3-for-11 with a walk, a run scored and an RBI over that stretch. Though he'll be on the bench for the series finale, the lefty-hitting Fletcher looks like he'll be given the opportunity to play regularly against right-handed pitching after the White Sox shipped Tommy Pham to the Cardinals prior to the trade deadline.

Lenyn Sosa 2B | TOR
White Sox's Lenyn Sosa: Drawing fourth straight start
Sosa will start at third base and bat fifth in Sunday's game against the Twins.
After starting each of the previous three games at the keystone, Sosa will man the hot corner Sunday while Miguel Vargas gets a day out of the infield and serves as the club's designated hitter. Sosa has gone 1-for-12 through four games since receiving a promotion from Triple-A Charlotte, and he'll likely need to pick up the pace at the plate in order to hold down a full-time role with the big club for the balance of the season.

Andrew Vaughn 1B | MIL
White Sox's Andrew Vaughn: Rejoins lineup
Vaughn (illness) will start at first base and bat cleanup in Sunday's game against the Twins.
Vaughn was scratched from the lineup ahead of Saturday's 6-2 loss due to the ailment, but he apparently made enough progress to make his return to the starting nine for the series finale. Since the All-Star break, Vaughn is slashing just .180/.226/.320 with two home runs, five RBI and four runs in 13 games.

Joey Cantillo SP | CLE
Guardians' Joey Cantillo: Returns to minors
The Guardians optioned Cantillo to Triple-A Columbus on Sunday.
The left-hander surrendered three runs over four innings during his start Saturday against the Orioles, and he'll head to Triple-A in favor of bullpen depth. Cantillo should be a candidate to rejoin the Guardians for Thursday's doubleheader in Minnesota.

Parker Meadows CF | DET
Tigers' Parker Meadows: On bench for finale
Meadows is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Royals.
Meadows will retreat to the bench for the series finale after he came off the 10-day injured list and started in center field in Saturday's 6-5 extra-inning win over Kansas City. He played all 10 innings in the victory, going 2-for-5 with a triple, an RBI and a run scored. With Meadows reporting no setbacks with his hamstring coming out of Saturday's contest, he's most likely sitting Sunday in a pre-planned maintenance day coming off the injury. The youngster is still expected to be in store for regular starts in center field now that he's healthy again.

Xzavion Curry RP | NYM
Guardians' Xzavion Curry: Sent to Triple-A
The Guardians optioned Curry to Triple-A Columbus on Sunday
The right-hander was dropped from Cleveland's starting rotation last week, and he'll head to Triple-A after he allowed four runs over three innings out of the bullpen Saturday. Curry has a 5.84 ERA, 1.38 WHIP and 15:5 K:BB across 24.2 frames in the majors this season.

Jake Rogers C | CHW
Tigers' Jake Rogers: Resting Sunday
Rogers is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Royals.
Rogers had started behind the plate in the previous two contests, but he'll hit the bench for the series finale with Kansas City while Dillon Dingler handles catching duties. The two backstops could be deployed in a timeshare until one clearly separates himself from the other as the preferred option.
