Bazzana went 4-for-5 with a double, a home run, two RBI and four runs scored for Double-A Akron on Saturday.

Bazzana has made a great first impression at the Double-A level, going 6-for-8 with two walks, two extra-base hits, two steals, three RBI and five runs scored through his first two games for the RubberDucks. The first overall in the 2024 draft, Bazzana immediately showed off his 70-grade hit tool and could breeze through the system on his way toward the starting job at second base for the Guardians later this season.

Cantillo struck out two over 2.1 scoreless and hitless innings in Saturday's 10-4 loss to the Angels.

Cantillo had his best outing of the season, retiring all seven batters he faced in a low-leverage situation. The 25-year-old left-hander, who was moved to the bullpen after losing out on a bid for the rotation, had allowed five runs (one earned) on five hits and three walks over his first three innings.

McKenzie allowed three runs on three hits, four walks and a wild pitch Saturday while striking out three over 1.2 innings in a 10-4 loss to the Angels.

Cleveland manager Stephen Vogt hoped the right-hander could provide some length after starter Tanner Bibee was chased with none out in the fifth inning, but McKenzie did nothing to quiet the Angels. The Guardians have been waiting for the 27-year-old to rediscover his 2022 form (2.96 ERA as a starter), but to no avail. He was moved to the bullpen after a rocky Cactus League season in which he allowed 10 runs, 15 hits and eight walks over 13 innings.

Garver went 0-for-2 with two walks in Saturday's 4-1 loss to the Giants.

Despite the release of Mitch Haniger during spring training, Garver has started just four of Seattle's first nine games of the season. Three of those have come at catcher, so that the Mariners could keep the big bat of Cal Raleigh in the lineup as the designated hitter. Garver is only 1-for-14 with three walks and five strikeouts in five appearances overall to begin the year, and the presence of Rowdy Tellez and Luke Raley will continue to limit his opportunities at DH.

Santana went 2-for-3 with a solo home run, an additional run, an additional RBI and a walk against the Angels in Saturday's 10-4 loss.

Santana knocked in half of Cleveland's runs in the contest, launching a solo homer to center field in the first inning and adding an RBI groundout in the third. The veteran first baseman has been a steady presence in the Guardians' lineup this season, as he's gotten at least one hit in six of his eight games and is slashing a sturdy .290/.343/.452 through 35 plate appearances.

Naylor went 2-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk in Saturday's loss to the Angels.

Naylor notched his first long ball and second RBI of the season with a solo shot to center field in the third inning. It's been a rough start to the campaign for the backstop, as he's slashing just .174/.269/.304 with a 3:8 BB:K through 26 plate appearances. However, he seems to have a stranglehold on catching duties for Cleveland, with backup Austin Hedges logging just four plate appearances so far.

Soler went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run and an additional run Saturday in a 10-4 win over Cleveland.

The Angels tagged Guardians ace Tanner Bibee for four homers in the victory, with Soler's first-inning, two-run shot coming as the second of the bunch. It was the first long ball of the season for the veteran slugger, who entered Saturday with just one RBI through seven games. Soler promisingly didn't strike out Saturday after fanning at a 41.7 percent clip over his first 29 plate appearances.

Rengifo went 2-for-4 with a solo home run, an additional run and a walk against the Guardians in Saturday's 10-4 victory.

Rengifo exited Friday's game early due to left hamstring tightness, but he was back starting at third base Saturday. The hamstring issue didn't seem to affect his swing, as the utility man knocked a solo homer on the third pitch of his first at-bat. Rengifo did give way defensively to Nicky Lopez in the eighth inning, but the Angels were ahead 10-3 at the time, and Rengifo appeared to emerge from the contest without a setback.

Rodgers went 1-for-3 with a double and a walk Saturday against the Twins.

Rodgers started his fourth consecutive game at second base and has gradually picked up his performance. He has at least one hit in each of those four contests and has doubles in consecutive games. Rodgers appears to have a clear grip on a starting role, and his recent performance should help him maintain playing time.

Trout went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run, an additional run and a walk Saturday in a 10-4 win against Cleveland.

Trout's lone hit of the contest was a 429-foot, two-run blast in the fifth inning that unknotted what had been a 3-3 game. The veteran slugger has gone deep in three straight games after failing to homer in each of his first five contests of the campaign. While Trout is still batting just .172 on the season, four of his five hits (three homers and a double) have gone for extra bases, and he's tied for the team lead with eight RBI.
