Melendez went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Tuesday's 4-2 loss to the Yankees.

Melendez entered Tuesday's game with a .285 OPS, 36.4 strikeout rate and zero RBI across 44 plate appearances, but he managed to get the Royals on the board with a solo homer off Max Fried in the third inning. Melendez's early-season play has put him in jeopardy of losing out on his starting role, but Tuesday's homer may be a sign of things to come for the Royals and the 26-year-old outfielder.

Vaughn went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run Tuesday against the Athletics.

Vaughn deposited a Jeffrey Springs changeup into deep left field, tying the game up at 3-3 in the first inning. The White Sox are relying on Vaughn to be one of their big bats in 2025, but the former top prospect is off to a brutal start at the dish. Over his first 57 at-bats, Vaughn is slashing just .123/.180/.263 with two homers, two doubles, eight RBI and three runs scored.

Williams earned the save in Tuesday's 4-2 win over the Royals, striking out one batter in a scoreless ninth inning.

Williams got the call to come into the ninth inning to protect a 4-2 lead. He needed 16 pitches (11 of which were strikes) to get through the frame, finishing things off by punching out MJ Melendez to record his third save of the season. Williams has not given up a run over his last three outings and has struck out three batters while allowing two hits and two walks in those three innings.

Langeliers went 3-for-5 with a solo home run, two RBI and two runs scored Tuesday against the White Sox.

Langeliers tucked a 419-foot jack inside the left-field foul pole to extend the Athletics' lead to 5-3 in the third inning, and he later roped a double into left field to plate another run in the ninth. Although teammate Tyler Soderstrom's meteoric rise has commanded more attention, Langeliers is off to a strong start of his own. Through 64 plate appearances, the power-hitting backstop is slashing .250/.344/.518 with four long balls, three doubles, 10 RBI and eight walks.

Fried (3-0) earned the win Tuesday against the Royals, allowing two runs on five hits and two walks while striking out seven across 6.2 innings.

Both of the runs Fried yielded came in the third inning, including a solo homer by MJ Melendez. Fried managed to settle in and did not give up a run for the rest of his outing, coming away with a second-straight quality start. The 31-year-old southpaw ranks third in the majors with 28 strikeouts and has opened his Yankees tenure with a 1.88 ERA and 1.17 WHIP across 24 innings. Fried will look to make it three wins in a row in his next start, which is slated for this weekend on the road against the Rays.

Soderstrom went 3-for-5 with a pair of three-run home runs Tuesday against the White Sox.

Soderstrom continued his upstart beginning to the season, cranking his seventh big fly of the year to bring three runs in during the first inning. He wasn't done there, however, launching his eighth long ball to drive in three more runs and push the Athletics in front 9-3 in the sixth inning. The 2020 first-rounder leads the major leagues in homers to this point, slashing an exceptional .328/.403/.734 with two doubles, 17 RBI and 15 runs scored through 72 plate appearances.

Meyers went 3-for-4 with an RBI and a stolen base Tuesday against the Cardinals.

Meyers got a single to drop into right field in the sixth inning, driving in Jeremy Pena to open the scoring and plate Houston's first run of the game. Although Meyers is batting .289 and has six stolen bases over 16 games this season, his frequent placement in the lower part of the Astros' batting order should continue to cap his fantasy upside. The 28-year-old center fielder has no home runs and just four RBI across 51 plate appearances.

Dominguez went 3-for-3 with a three-run double in Tuesday's 4-2 win over the Royals.

Dominguez gave the Yankees the lead in the sixth inning, when he smacked a 96 mph fastball from Angel Zerpa to left field that brought Jazz Chisholm, Austin Wells and Anthony Volpe home. Dominguez has gone 6-for-12 with two walks, two doubles and five RBI over his last four games.

Alvarez went 1-for-4 with a solo home run Tuesday against the Cardinals.

Alvarez crushed a 419-foot blast to deep center field in the eighth inning, tacking on an insurance run to give the Astros a 2-0 lead. While Alvarez got off to a dreadful start to the year, he's certainly beginning to pick up some steam lately. Over his last nine outings, the All-Star slugger is hitting .310 (9-for-29) with two homers, six RBI, seven walks and one stolen base.

Bader went 3-for-4 with an RBI, a run scored and a stolen base Tuesday against the Mets.

The speedy outfielder drove in a go-ahead run on a ground ball in the fourth inning, pushing Minnesota on top 3-2. Matt Wallner (hamstring) had to exit Tuesday's game, and Bader is a candidate for additional at-bats until the former is healthy. Bader could be a sneaky source of power and speed for fantasy managers in a more consistent role, as he's batting .255 with three home runs, 11 RBI, four runs scored and one stolen base through 47 at-bats to begin the season.
