The Athletics reinstated Wilson (thumb) from the 10-day injured list Tuesday.

The 24-year-old shortstop has been on the shelf nearly two weeks due to right thumb inflammation, and it's a bit of a surprise he's returning so quickly given that it was recently reported by MLB.com that he hadn't been swinging a bat since landing on the IL. Wilson is apparently good to go, however, and should reclaim the starting job at shortstop now that he's healthy. Through 50 games this season, he has a .277/.310/.386 slash line with four home runs, two steals, 26 RBI and 23 runs in 214 plate appearances.

Helsley will solicit a second opinion on his injured right elbow, Jake Rill of MLB.com reports.

The Orioles have not revealed the initial prognosis, but Helsley will seek out another evaluation before making a decision as to the next course of action. Helsley missed seven weeks of action with right elbow inflammation earlier this season and landed back on the IL this past Friday with more elbow trouble. The Orioles could have more information on Helsley's status later this week. Tyler Wells has notched two straight saves for Baltimore since Helsley was injured.

Perez (orbital) played light catch on the field at Comerica Park on Tuesday, Chris McCosky of The Detroit News reports.

It's the first time Perez has done any baseball activities since he fractured an orbital bone in mid-June. Perez still has a long way to go in his rehab, and he's not eligible for activation from the 60-day injured list until mid-August.

The Red Sox "remain hopeful" Suarez (adductor) can avoid the 15-day injured list, Chris Cotillo of MassLive.com reports.

Suarez was forced from Sunday's outing against the Angels in the third inning due to left adductor tightness. He will be re-evaluated Tuesday, at which point the Red Sox will have a better idea as to whether Suarez can make his next start which is tentatively lined up for Saturday against the Mets. With the All-Star break looming, the Red Sox could play it safe and hold Suarez out. Suarez made the All-Star team, but there's a good chance he'll be replaced on the AL roster.

Thomas went 2-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk in Monday's 15-1 win over the Phillies.

Thomas got in on the offensive explosion against Cristopher Sanchez, belting a solo homer in the fourth inning. With Kyle Isbel (foot) sidelined, Thomas has seen regular playing time in center field and has fared well of late, slashing .296/.345/.556 with a homer, four doubles, three RBI, five runs and a stolen base over his past seven games. Overall, the veteran is hitting .222/.329/.362 with six homers, 11 doubles, 25 RBI, 24 runs and four stolen bases across 76 contests.

Mariners president of baseball operations Jerry Dipoto indicated Tuesday that Canzone will have a full-time spot in the middle of the lineup going forward, regardless of the handedness of the opposing starting pitcher, Adam Jude of The Seattle Times reports.

Canzone has only four starts against left-handed pitching this season, but all four of those games have come in the past month. The 28-year-old has just 29 plate appearances versus southpaws this year, but his .994 OPS against them is apparently enough for Seattle to give him a chance as a true everyday player. Canzone had an .839 OPS in 82 regular-season games as a platoon outfielder in 2025, and he appears firmly on his way to a true breakout season with a .273/.349/.551 slash line and career-high 14 homers through 232 plate appearances thus far in 2026.

The Orioles recalled Raquet from Triple-A Norfolk on Tuesday.

Raquet has logged three appearances for the Orioles this season, giving up three runs with a 1:2 K:BB. The left-hander will give the club a fresh bullpen arm as it opens a series Tuesday versus the Cubs.

The Twins selected Go's contract from Triple-A St. Paul on Tuesday.

Go was acquired via trade from the Tigers on Sunday and is reporting directly to the major-league roster. The Korean reliever holds a 1.96 ERA and 54:13 K:BB over 41.1 innings between the Double- and Triple-A levels this season. Go -- who turns 28 in August -- will be making his major-league debut when/if he gets into a game.

Miles will start Tuesday's game against the Giants, Keegan Matheson of MLB.com reports.

Miles will be making his third start of the season in what will be his first appearance since last Wednesday, when he fired three scoreless innings as a bulk reliever to pick up a win against the Mets. The 25-year-old may have trouble pitching deep enough to qualify for a possible victory in San Francisco since he hasn't thrown more than 40 pitches in an appearance since early June, but he should still be able to provide Toronto with a few frames to begin the game. Patrick Corbin worked behind Miles in last Wednesday's matchup with the Mets and could do so again Tuesday.

Altuve went 1-for-5 with a three-run home run in Monday's 12-11 loss to the Nationals.

Altuve put the Astros ahead 4-1in the second inning with a three-run, two-out blast off Miles Mikolas. It's Altuve's ninth long ball this season and his first since June 19. The veteran second baseman has gone 4-for-11 with three extra-base hits in his last three games following a 4-for-31 (.129) slump across his prior eight contests. Overall, Altuve is slashing .235/.312/.394 with 42 runs scored, 25 RBI and two stolen bases across 296 plate appearances this year.
