Volpe is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rays, but he's considered day-to-day after receiving encouraging MRI and X-ray results, Jim Bowden of The Athletic reports.

The 24-year-old felt a "pop" in his left shoulder during Saturday's contest while diving for a groundball, but he appears to have avoided a serious injury. Volpe will sit for at least one game, while Oswald Peraza receives a start at shortstop in his place.

Langeliers is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Marlins.

Langeliers started the first two games of the series but will take a seat for the finale after going 0-for-9 with an RBI. Jhonny Pereda will step in behind the plate to catch for lefty JP Sears on Sunday.

Isbel is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Orioles.

Drew Waters will get the start in center field while Isbel sits for the second time in the last four games. Isbel brings quality defense in the outfield, but he's not been much of a fantasy asset while frequently hitting at the bottom of the Kansas City order this season. He's slashing just .241/.244/.361 with two home runs, one steal, 11 RBI and seven runs through 30 games.

Perez (hip) will serve as the Royals' designated hitter and bat cleanup in Sunday's game against the Orioles.

Kansas City held Perez out of the lineup for the first two games of the series due to a sore left hip he sustained Thursday, but the 34-year-old has evidently displayed enough improvement to make his return. The Royals haven't indicated when Perez might be ready to resume full-time duties behind the plate, however, so he could be confined to the DH spot for a few more games. Luke Maile, who's getting the start Sunday, and Freddy Fermin will pick up more work at catcher until Perez is deemed ready to play defense.

Fermin is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Orioles.

Fermin had started at catcher in each of the last three games while Salvador Perez served as a designated hitter for the first contest and then sat out the next two due to left hip soreness. Perez is healthy enough to step back in as the Royals' DH on Sunday, but Fermin will get a breather while No. 3 catcher Luke Maile steps in behind the plate. The Royals haven't indicated when Perez might be ready to resume full-time duties at catcher, so Fermin could continue to see elevated playing time in the short term.

Paris went 1-for-3 with two RBI in a 5-2 win against Detroit on Saturday.

Paris plated a pair of runs with a sixth-inning single for his first RBI since April 9 -- a span of 18 games. After a scorching start to the season, the 23-tear-old went into a major funk, batting just .111 with a 48.3 percent strikeout rate during his slump. Paris has shown small signs of emerging from the cold spell over his past two contests, going 2-for-6 with a double, though he's also struck out three times. Despite the lack of production, Paris has managed to hold onto a near-everyday spot in the Angels' lineup, but it remains to be seen whether his role will change when Yoan Moncada (thumb) is ready to return from the injured list.

Campbell (ribs) is starting at second base and batting cleanup Sunday against the Twins, Chris Cotillo of MassLive.com reports.

The 22-year-old sat out the past three games due to rib discomfort, but he's ready to go for Sunday's series finale versus Minnesota. Campbell has been a force at the plate in his first 29 MLB games with four homers, two steals and a .301/.407/.495 slash line in 123 plate appearances.

Story is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Twins.

David Hamilton will step in at shortstop while Story heads to the bench for the first time since April 20 in what appears to be a routine maintenance day. While starting in each of Boston's last 12 games, Story went just 9-for-50 at the dish, dropping his season-long batting average from .318 to .267.

Narvaez will start at catcher and bat eighth in Sunday's game against the Twins.

Though he's back in the lineup for Sunday's series finale, Narvaez's run as the Red Sox's primary catcher is over with Connor Wong reinstated from the injured list Friday. Wong started behind the dish in the first two games of the series, but he'll pick up some rest in the Sunday afternoon contest. Narvaez batted just .175 with three home runs over 18 games while Wong was sidelined.

Wong is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Twins.

After starting behind the dish in the first two games of the series following his activation from the 10-day injured list Friday, Wong will get a breather as the Red Sox wrap up their three-game set with the Twins. Carlos Narvaez will replace Wong behind the plate.
