Rengifo is not in the lineup for Thursday's game against the Blue Jays, Rhett Bollinger reports.

Rengifo remains a key part of the Angels' lineup, though he has started to sit more of late. He began the regular season with only one day off through 21 games, but he since appears to be settling into a pattern of getting at least one day off per week. His slight downturn in playing time could be a result of his slow start at the dish, as he has just a .210/.246/.277 line across 126 plate appearances. Both Yoan Moncada and Tim Anderson are in the lineup Thursday in Rengifo's absence.

Witt went 4-for-5 with two doubles, two RBI, two runs scored and two stolen bases in Thursday's 10-0 win over the White Sox.

It was another standout effort from Witt, who's gone 10-for-22 (.455) with six extra-base hits and four steals in his last five contests. The star shortstop is now slashing .325/.392/.530 with five homers, 23 RBI, 25 runs scored and 13 steals across 171 plate appearances this season.

Martin (1-4) took the loss Thursday against the Royals, allowing four runs on seven hits and a walk across 4.1 innings. He struck out two.

It's the first time since April 17 that Martin allowed more than three earned runs -- he'd pitched to a 1.69 ERA in his previous three outings (16 innings). Overall, the 28-year-old Martin sports a 4.01 ERA, 1.41 WHIP and 28:12 K:BB across 42.2 innings this year. He'll look to get back on track in his next start, tentatively scheduled for next week in Cincinnati.

Gimenez (quad) isn't in the lineup for Thursday's game against the Angels.

Gimenez made an early exit from Wednesday's contest due to right quad tightness, and he'll take a day off Thursday while he continues to recover. His absence will put Ernie Clement at second base and open a spot in the lineup for Nathan Lukes to start in left field while batting ninth. It was also announced that Gimenez underwent an MRI on Thursday, but the results are still unknown, per Mitch Bannon of The Athletic.

Bubic (4-2) earned the win Thursday over the White Sox, allowing six hits and one walk across seven scoreless innings. He struck out seven.

It was another stellar outing from Bubic, who's now held opponents scoreless in three of his last four starts. The southpaw's ERA is down to 1.69 through eight starts (48 innings) this year with a 1.10 WHIP and 47:14 K:BB. Bubic will look to keep rolling in his next outing, currently scheduled for next week in Houston.

McKinstry isn't in the lineup for the second game of Thursday's doubleheader against Colorado.

McKinstry will get a breather Thursday evening after going 1-for-4 with an RBI and two runs scored during a 10-2 win in Game 1. Riley Greene, Brewer Hicklen and Kerry Carpenter will start across the Tigers' outfield while McKinstry sits.

Baez isn't in the lineup for the second game of Thursday's doubleheader against the Rockies.

After going 2-for-5 with an RBI and scoring a run during a 10-2 win in Game 1, Baez will get a chance to rest his legs during the final game of the day. Brewer Hicklen will start in center field instead, making his season debut while batting ninth.

The Tigers optioned Lee to Triple-A Toledo on Thursday.

Lee has appeared in five games since being recalled from Triple-A Toledo on April 22. After allowing no earned runs across his first 4.1 innings in the majors, he gave up his first run in Detroit's 10-2 win in Game 1 of Thursday's doubleheader against Colorado. The 26-year-old pitched two innings and allowed the run on one hit with two strikeouts. Having just been utilized in the matinee, the righty is being demoted so the Tigers can recall an extra bat in Brewer Hicklen for Game 2.

The Tigers recalled Hicklen from Triple-A Toledo on Thursday.

Hicklen didn't appear in a game during his last stint with the big-league club in April, but he'll get an opportunity to make his season debut in center field during the second game of Thursday's twin bill against Colorado. The 29-year-old has slashed .242/.368/.305 through 114 plate appearances in Triple-A and remains in search of his first career major-league hit.

Leiter (2-2) took the loss Thursday against the Red Sox, allowing four runs on three hits and four walks over 5.1 innings. He struck out three.

Leiter has now dropped back-to-back outings, allowing 10 runs over 9.2 innings in that span. The 25-year-old right-hander's ERA is up to 5.09 through his first 23 innings this season with a 1.30 WHIP and 18:11 K:BB. Leiter will look to turn things around in his next start, tentatively lined up for next week at home against the Rockies.
