Raleigh went 2-for-5 with a pair of solo home runs in Tuesday's 9-1 win over the Nationals.

Raleigh went back-to-back with Julio Rodriguez in the first inning and added a second solo shot in the fifth. This was Raleigh's third multi-homer effort of the season. He's been locked in with both power and steady hitting lately, hitting seven homers while going 16-for-53 (.302) over his last 14 games. The catcher is up to a .258/.372/.603 slash line, 19 long balls, 37 RBI, 35 runs scored and five stolen bases over 53 contests as he continues to trend toward a career year.

Evans (3-1) allowed a run on four hits and a walk while striking out four over eight innings to earn the win Tuesday over the Nationals.

Evans' lone mistake was a solo home run by James Wood in the fourth inning. This was easily Evans' longest outing, and he was efficient too, throwing 65 of 88 pitches for strikes. Evans lowered his ERA to 2.83 with a 1.26 WHIP and 25:10 K:BB across 35 innings over six starts so far. With Bryce Miller (elbow) a possibility to return this weekend, the Mariners will likely be making a decision soon between Evans and Emerson Hancock for the last spot in the rotation until Logan Gilbert (elbow) is ready to return.

Manager Mark Kotsay said Tuesday that Alexander is a candidate to fill in at first base while Nick Kurtz (hip) is on the injured list, Steve Schaeffer of MLB.com reports.

Before being recalled from Triple-A Las Vegas on Friday, Alexander had been slashing .252/.350/.516 with 10 homers and 32 RBI across 180 plate appearances in the minors. Since joining the big club, the 28-year-old has gone 2-for-6 in three games and drew the start at first base during Tuesday's 11-1 loss against Houston. Kotsay also mentioned Logan Davidson as an option to fill in for Kurtz at first base, so Alexander may not have sole possession of the starting job, but that could change if his minor-league numbers translate nicely in the bigs.

Green (1-1) took the loss in Tuesday's 2-0 defeat to Texas after allowing two runs (one earned) on two hits and one walk in one inning. He struck out one.

Although it was a non-save situation, Green was unable to keep the game tied in a high-leverage spot. It's still been a strong month for the veteran right-hander, who owns a 2.61 ERA, 0.97 WHIP and 10:3 K:BB over 10.1 innings in May. The Blue Jays have displayed continued trust in Jeff Hoffman as their closer while he works through his struggles, but they may have to rely more heavily on Green in high-leverage situations until Yimi Garcia (shoulder) returns to the fold.

Garcia picked up the save in Tuesday's 2-0 win over Toronto by throwing a scoreless ninth inning. He struck out two.

Garcia's usage is becoming noteworthy -- he worked the ninth inning in his second straight outing in place of Luke Jackson, who was called upon for the eighth frame Tuesday. Given Jackson's struggles this season -- he has a 4.86 ERA and 1.56 WHIP through 16.2 innings -- it wouldn't be surprising to see Garcia receive additional save opportunities in the future. Although the Rangers' bullpen could remain a committee approach as it pertains to ninth-inning work, Garcia sports a 2.35 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 21:8 K:BB while converting three of his four save chances over 23 frames.

Jung went 1-for-4 with an RBI and a stolen base in Tuesday's 2-0 win over Toronto.

Although Jung's seven-game hitting streak came to an end Monday, he got back into the RBI column for the first time in his last eight outings Tuesday. The 27-year-old third baseman has been a key cog in Texas' lineup this season, and he's batting a strong .306 (22-for-72) with five home runs, two doubles, 11 RBI and 10 runs scored over his last 20 games. Jung's stolen base was his fourth of the year, so he's providing a decent combination of pop and speed at the hot corner.

Francis didn't factor into the decision Tuesday against the Rangers after allowing three hits and one walk in five scoreless innings. He struck out six.

Not only did Francis match a season high in punchouts, but he also registered his first scoreless start of the season among his 11 appearances. The 29-year-old right-hander had tossed at least five innings just once in his prior six outings, so Tuesday was certainly an encouraging bounce-back performance. Francis lowered his ERA to 5.04 along with a 1.36 WHIP and 46:17 K:BB across 55.1 innings in 2025, and he's set for a relatively tough test versus the Athletics his next time out.

The Rays are expected to designate Rortvedt for assignment Wednesday, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Rortvedt is slashing just .100/.194/.117 through 67 plate appearances on the season and currently sits as the third catcher on Tampa Bay's roster following the acquisition of Matt Thaiss from Chicago on Tuesday. Rortvedt's place on the depth chart makes him the obvious choice to lose his spot once Thaiss is activated, and the former's poor performance could cause him to pass through waivers unclaimed.

Sugano did not factor in the decision during Tuesday's loss to St. Louis. He allowed three runs on eight hits while striking out three over 5.1 innings.

Sugano struggled early, yielding a run in the first inning followed by a two-run shot from Lars Nootbaar in the second. After that home run, Sugano allowed just one other Cardinal to reach scoring position. He came into Tuesday's outing with four straight starts of at least six innings. Sugano's ERA rose to 3.23 alongside a 35:10 K:BB through 64 frames. He's struck out three or fewer batters in seven of his 11 starts. Sugano is currently expected to start in Seattle next week.

Bibee (4-5) yielded four runs on seven hits and three walks over five innings Tuesday, striking out seven and taking a loss against the Dodgers.

Bibee gave up two runs through three frames before Shohei Ohtani belted a two-run shot off him in the fourth inning. On the bright side, it was Bibee's second straight start with at least seven punchouts; he did not strike out more than five batters in any of his first nine outings. Bibee threw 59 of 95 pitches for strikes and walked multiple batters for the first time since May 4. His ERA is up to 3.86 alongside a 50:21 K:BB across 63 frames. Bibee is projected for another tough matchup next week at Yankee Stadium.
