McKinstry will start at shortstop and bat ninth in Sunday's game against the Royals.

Though he'll draw a start against southpaw Kris Bubic in the series finale, the left-handed-hitting McKinstry sat against righty MIchael Wacha on Saturday and could be moving into a part-time role with the Tigers getting closer to full health. McKinstry owns a career-best .768 OPS on the season, but he finished May with an unremarkable .200/.289/.338 slash line to go with two home runs and one stolen base in 24 games.

Dingler is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Royals, Evan Woodbery of MLive.com reports.

Dingler will receive Sunday off after going 3-for-5 with two walks, a home run and three RBI in the first two games of the series. Jake Rogers will take over behind the plate and bat eighth.

Perez is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Royals, Evan Woodbery of MLive.com reports.

Perez started four straight games after being reinstated from the injured list Tuesday and will receive Sunday off after going 4-for-14 with a double, a solo homer and six strikeouts. Javier Baez is starting in center field for the series finale in Kansas City.

The Astros placed Dezenzo on the 10-day injured list Sunday due to left hand inflammation, Matt Kawahara of the Houston Chronicle reports.

The 25-year-old departed Saturday's contest due to the injury and will be sidelined for at least the next 10 days. One of the Astros' top prospects, Jacob Melton, was called up in a corresponding move Sunday to bolster Houston's outfield depth.

Stroman (knee) tossed live batting practice in Los Angeles on Saturday, Greg Joyce of the New York Post reports.

Stroman threw around 30 pitches and two innings, marking the first time he faced live hitters since May 9. The right-hander "looked sharp" according to Yankees manager Aaron Boone, who also indicated that he's unsure about the next step in Stroman's rehab program. Stroman's last game action came April 11, so he'll almost certainly need a minor-league rehab assignment before being activated off the 15-day injured list. The veteran hurler had been part of New York's rotation prior to getting hurt, but it's not certain that he'll return to that role upon activation.

Lukes is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Athletics.

Though he'll hit the bench against southpaw JP Sears, Lukes should continue to have a clear path to playing time after Daulton Varsho (hamstring) joined Anthony Santander (shoulder) on the injured list Sunday. Lukes has been seeing most of his playing time in the outfield corners of late, but manager John Schneider suggested that he could end up filling the strong side of a platoon in center field with Myles Straw while Varsho is on the shelf, per Keegan Matheson of MLB.com.

Garcia was scratched from the lineup for Sunday's game against the Tigers due to right thumb soreness.

Garcia was penciled in to make his 46th consecutive start but will instead step out of the starting nine due to the thumb injury. He'll have Monday's team off day to aid in his recovery before Kansas City travels to St. Louis to begin a three-game series Tuesday. Jonathan India replaced Garcia in the lineup Sunday after originally being scheduled for a day off.

Langeliers is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Blue Jays.

Langeliers started the previous five games and will get Sunday off after going 3-for-19 with a double and a solo homer during that stretch. Willie MacIver will step in behind the plate to catch lefty JP Sears for the series finale in Toronto.

Straw will likely split playing time in center field with Nathan Lukes after Daulton Varsho (hamstring) was placed on the injured list Sunday, Keegan Matheson of MLB.com reports.

While he doesn't offer the same offensive upside as Varsho, Straw has the best glove of the Blue Jays' remaining options in center. While Varsho missed the first month of the season recovering from shoulder surgery, Straw hit .326 (14-for-43) over 21 games with one home run, two steals, three RBI and eight runs. According to Matheson, manager John Schneider suggested that the Blue Jays could go with a loose platoon in center field of Lukes and Straw while Varsho is out, though the right-handed-hitting Straw could see some starts versus righties if Lukes is used in a corner-outfield spot.

Moncada is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Guardians, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.

Moncada returned to the lineup Saturday and went 2-for-4 with a solo homer after sitting out one game due to knee soreness, but he's back on the bench Sunday. There's been no indication that the veteran third baseman aggravated the injury, so he could just be getting a rest day. Luis Rengifo will shift to third base while Scott Kingery receives a start at the keystone.
