Manager Kevin Cash said Wednesday that McClanahan (triceps) will visit another nerve specialist within the next several days before determining the next steps in his rehab, Ryan Bass of FanDuel Sports Network Sun reports.

McClanahan has spent the entire season working his way back from a nerve-related triceps injury and threw what was deemed a successful bullpen session Friday. However, the Rays skipper added that the 28-year-old southpaw is in "shut-down mode" for now. Clarification regarding the health of McClanahan's triceps will come after his doctor visit, though a best-case scenario still involves him remaining sidelined through the All-Star break.

Osuna is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Twins.

With Adolis Garcia in the midst of a six-game hitting streak and having taken back control of a regular role in right field, Osuna's brief run as an everyday player seems to have come to an end. The 22-year-old rookie will hit the bench Wednesday for the third time in four games and could soon be headed back to Triple-A Round Rock if playing time at the big-league level remains sparse.

Blue Jays manager John Schneider said after Wednesday's 5-2 win over the Cardinals that Clement is considered day-to-day with a lower body injury, Keegan Matheson of MLB.com reports.

Clement was replaced by Addison Barger at third base in the ninth inning. The injury doesn't appear to be serious, and with the Blue Jays scheduled for a day off Thursday, Clement could be available for Friday's weekend opener against the Phillies. He went 3-for-4 with a double and a solo home run prior to being subbed out.

Triple-A Omaha placed Avila on its 7-day injured list May 27 due to a right shoulder impingement, Anne Rogers of MLB.com reports.

Avila possesses a spot on the Royals' 40-man roster and likely would have been in the mix for his first big-league call-up had he not experienced soreness in his shoulder coming out of his most recent outing with Omaha on May 22. The right-hander had logged a 4.97 ERA, 1.29 WHIP and 49:18 K:BB in 41.2 innings with the Triple-A club this season before landing on the shelf.

Eovaldi (triceps) played catch prior to Wednesday's game against Minnesota, Jeff Wilson of AllDLLS.com reports.

Eovaldi landed on the 15-day injured list May 29 due to a right triceps injury. He's eligible to be reinstated from the IL on Friday, but he may need a longer stint on the shelf given that he's only recently started throwing again. Eovaldi's continued absence could allow Jacob Latz (hand) to make another start when the former's next turn through the rotation comes up Saturday versus the White Sox.

Single-A Columbia placed Ramirez on its 7-day injured list June 2 due to an unspecified injury.

A 19-year-old catcher from Venezuela, Ramirez is regarded as one of the Royals' top lower-level prospects. He slashed .252/.366/.472 with nine home runs and five stolen bases over 194 plate appearances with Columbia prior to being placed on the IL.

Dominguez is absent from the lineup for Wednesday's tilt in Kansas City.

He's on the bench for the second time over the last three games after starting three straight prior to that. Cody Bellinger, Trent Grisham and Aaron Judge will form the Yankees' outfield trio Wednesday.

Chisholm (neck) will start at third base and bat fifth in Wednesday's game in Kansas City.

Chisholm exited Tuesday's 10-2 win due to neck tightness following a hard tag after he stole third base, but he will not have to miss a start. The 27-year-old has gone 9-for-25 with two home runs and four stolen bases over seven games since returning from the injured list.

Carlson is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Tigers, Jake Rill of MLB.com reports.

Carlson had made 14 consecutive starts from May 24 through this past Sunday and slashed .292/.346/.542 with three home runs and a stolen base during that stretch, but he looks like he'll have to settle for a fourth-outfielder role after the Orioles brought Cedric Mullins back from the injured list Tuesday. With Mullins back in the fold, Carlson will hit the bench for the second game in a row, and his playing-time outlook will only worsen further once Tyler O'Neill (shoulder) -- who is in the midst of a rehab assignment -- gets activated from the IL.

Mayo is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Tigers, Jake Rill of MLB.com reports.

Mayo has been seeing semi-regular playing time since being recalled from Triple-A Norfolk on May 31, but he's gone just 4-for-22 with one extra-base hit (a double), a stolen base and a 2:5 BB:K over a stretch of seven games. With the Orioles getting two key position players in Jordan Westburg and Cedric Mullins back from the injured list earlier this week, Mayo could end up being squeezed out of the lineup on a more frequent basis if he's unable to pick up the pace at the plate.
