Triple-A Charlotte placed Varland on its 7-day injured list March 31 due to an unspecified injury.

Varland made just one appearance for Charlotte before landing on the shelf less than a week into the season. The right-hander looks to be closing in on his return to the Charlotte bullpen, however, as he began a rehab assignment in the rookie-level Arizona Complex League last week. Varland retains a spot on the White Sox's 40-man roster, so he could be in the mix for a promotion to the big club later on this season if he can get healthy and pitch well at Charlotte over an extended stretch.

Schobel was placed on the 7-day injured list at Triple-A St. Paul due to a fractured right forearm, TwinsDaily.com reports.

Schobel was hitting .229/.357/.429 with a home run in 11 games since being promoted to Triple-A. The 68th overall pick in the 2022 First-Year Player Draft was promoted after hitting .295/.375/.470 with seven home runs and seven stolen bases in 49 games at Double-A Wichita. He'll likely be out several months.

McArthur (elbow) was cleared to resume playing catch a few times per week earlier this month, MLB.com reports.

McArthur has made limited progress since undergoing surgery in the offseason to address an olecranon fracture in his right elbow, but he's at least begun a throwing program after being shut down for the past several months. The right-hander has multiple checkpoints to hit during the rehab process before making his return from the 60-day injured list at some point during the second half of the season.

Harvey (shoulder) was cleared to continue playing catch after a positive re-evaluation Wednesday, MLB.com reports.

Harvey had already been playing catch every other day for the past few weeks while he works his way back from a right teres major strain, and he now looks poised to increase the intensity and distance of his throwing sessions before eventually graduating to mound work. The veteran reliever has been on the shelf since April 11 and isn't expected to return from the 60-day injured list until July.

Marsh (shoulder) resumed throwing bullpen sessions at the end of May and has continued his throwing progression at the Royals' spring training facility in Arizona, MLB.com reports.

The report doesn't specify whether Marsh has resumed facing hitters yet, but that will be the next step in his progression once he gets enough bullpen sessions under his belt. The right-hander has been on the shelf all season after suffering from shoulder soreness early in spring training and then experiencing a setback in early April. Marsh posted a 4.53 ERA and 1.26 WHIP over 129 innings across 26 appearances (25 starts) with the Royals in 2024, but the big club may not have a spot available for him in the rotation once he's ready to return from the 60-day injured list, likely at some point in July.

Wright (shoulder) struck out six and allowed two hits and one walk over four scoreless innings in his rehab start Sunday with Triple-A Omaha.

Making his seventh start in the minors overall this season and the fifth of his current rehab assignment, Wright delivered his sharpest performance to date. He recorded 12 outs on 65 pitches (41 strikes) in Sunday's outing, inducing five swings and misses along the way. Wright's 30-day rehab window will come to a close June 24, so he'll presumably make one more start in the minors before being activated from the 60-day injured list. Though Cole Ragans (shoulder) is likely to remain on the shelf through the All-Star break, rookie Noah Cameron has thrived while replacing him in the rotation, so Kansas City may not have a starting role available for Wright upon his return.

Schanuel went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in a loss to Baltimore on Sunday.

Schanuel gave the Angels an early lead with a 416-foot solo shot to center field in the first inning. The long ball snapped a 23-game stretch without a homer for the lefty batter. Despite the power drought, Schanuel has been swinging the bat well of late, collecting multiple hits in five of his past 11 games and batting .341 with eight RBI and two steals over that stretch.

Walls went 0-for-3 with a walk and a run scored Sunday against the Mets.

Walls lost playing time at shortstop for roughly a two-week stretch from May 21 to June 4. However, he's been in the lineup for eight of Tampa Bay's last 10 games and gone 10-for-27 with six runs scored, eight RBI and one stolen base in that stretch. Walls started two of three games in the team's weekend series against the Mets and scored three runs with two RBI.

Walter didn't factor into the decision Sunday against the Twins, allowing one run on six hits and no walks with nine strikeouts over 6.2 innings.

Walter is temporarily serving as the sixth man in a six-person rotation for the short-handed Astros, but the 28-year-old has performed more like an ace in limited action this season. Sunday's outing was his third MLB start of the campaign, and his second time allowing no runs. His nine strikeouts marked a career high and bumped his K:BB to 19:1 across 17.2 innings. While he likely won't retain a spot in the big-league rotation once the Astros get healthier, he could stick around for one or two more trips through the rotation. He's in line to start during a three-game set against the Angels next weekend.

Woods Richardson didn't factor into the decision during Sunday's extra-inning loss to Houston, allowing one hit and one walk with four strikeouts over five scoreless innings.

Woods Richardson was called up June 10 to take Zebby Matthews' (shoulder) spot in the rotation and allowed seven runs (six earned) in his return to the big-league squad. He rebounded with a stellar outing Sunday, notching his first scoreless outing of 2025. Despite his success, the Twins pulled him after 53 pitches. He threw 98 pitches in his previous start. Woods Richardson is tentatively scheduled to face the Brewers next weekend, and he'll take a 5.13 ERA over 47.1 innings into the outing.
