Naylor is out of the lineup for the first game of Friday's doubleheader against the White Sox.

Naylor will rest up during Friday's matinee, yielding to Austin Hedges behind the dish against right-hander Shane Smith. Naylor is slashing .177/.278/.365 with nine home runs and a 26.8 percent strikeout rate in 235 plate appearances this season.

The Astros selected Matthews' contract from Triple-A Sugar Land on Friday.

As expected, the 23-year-old will join Houston for the start of a three-game homestand against Texas and is poised to make his MLB debut. Matthews has posted 10 home runs and 25 stolen bases, along with an .876 OPS for Sugar Land this season. He could take over as the starter at second base while Jose Altuve reinforces the Astros' injury-plagued outfield, which just lost Jake Meyers (calf).

Suarez is on the 7-day injured list at High-A Bowling Green with tightness in his right triceps and shoulder, J.J. Cooper of Baseball America reports.

The report from early June states that the injury is not considered serious and he should return before too long, but Suarez hasn't pitched in a game since May 7. The 20-year-old righty had a 1.78 ERA, 0.83 WHIP and 28:5 K:BB in 25.1 innings prior to the injury.

Enright will serve as the Guardians' 27th player for Friday's doubleheader against the White Sox, Tim Stebbins of MLB.com reports.

Enright will provide a fresh arm for Cleveland's bullpen, marking his second MLB stint of the season. In 11 appearances with the Guardians this season, the righty owns a 2.08 ERA and an 11:7 K:BB across 13 innings. He'll likely head back to Triple-A Columbus after Friday's nightcap.

Teel is out of the lineup for the first game of Friday's doubleheader against Cleveland.

Teel will avoid a matchup with southpaw Logan Allen in Friday's matinee. Edgar Quero will bat cleanup and fill in behind the dish.

The White Sox recalled Ellard from Triple-A Charlotte to serve as their 27th man for Friday's doubleheader versus the Guardians.

Ellard will rejoin the White Sox for the first time since early May, after being reinstated from the 60-day IL and optioned to Charlotte on July 4. During his time at Triple-A this season, Ellard hasn't shown an ability to curb his walks (17.3 BB% in 11 innings), so the White Sox may not be eager to deploy him in high-leverage spots. He'll likely be returned to Charlotte once the twin bill concludes.

Rojas isn't part of the starting lineup for the first game of Friday's doubleheader against the Guardians.

Rojas will dodge a same-handed matchup against southpaw Logan Allen in Friday's matinee. Instead, Miguel Vargas will slot in at third base while Tim Elko plays first base.

Rojas struck out 10 without walking a batter and allowed just two hits over five scoreless innings in his second start for Double-A New Hampshire on Thursday.

The 22-year-old southpaw got a belated start to his season due to an abdominal injury, but Rojas appears intent on making up for lost time. A converted outfielder, Rojas has had trouble staying healthy since moving to the mound, but he boasts a mid-90s fastball with a slider and changeup, and a smooth, athletic delivery that has led to rapid improvement in both his raw stuff and his control. After posting a 2.43 ERA, 1.12 WHIP and 61:12 K:BB over 55.2 innings at High-A last year, Rojas could be poised to take another big step forward in the second half of 2025.

Lagrange has a 2.61 ERA, 1.16 WHIP and 34:15 K:BB in 20.2 innings over his last four starts for Double-A Somerset.

The 22-year-old righty was surprisingly assigned to High-A Hudson Valley to begin the year, even though he had an 18.8 percent walk rate at Single-A Tampa in 2024. Lagrange was up for the challenge, logging a 4.10 ERA, 1.03 WHIP and 64:12 K:BB in 41.2 innings at High-A before getting promoted to Double-A on June 3. Even during his stretches of dominance, walks can be a problem for Lagrange, as he's given up more walks than hits in three straight starts.
