Rave went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and a three-run home run during Friday's 8-7 loss to the Marlins.

Rave not only hit his first career home run Friday, a three-run home run to pull the Royals within one, but he hit a second home run that tied the game at five and brought it to extras. It turned out to be in vain, as the Royals lost the game, but it's still likely the highlight of the rookie 27-year-old's career so far. Following this performance, Rave is slashing .194/.280/.333 on the season.

The Yankees are expected to recall Winans from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Saturday, Joel Sherman of the New York Post reports.

Winans has given up three earned runs over 10.2 innings since being sent back to Triple-A in late June. He'll now rejoin the active roster as a replacement for Rico Garcia and likely take on a long-relief role out of the bullpen.

The Yankees are expected to designate Garcia for assignment Saturday, Joel Sherman of the New York Post reports.

After giving up three runs in 2.2 innings during his Yankees debut Friday, Garcia is now slated to lose his spot on the 26-man and 40-man rosters. The 31-year-old has spent time with both New York clubs this season and carries a 3.68 ERA through 7.1 frames in the bigs.

Castro went 1-for-3 with a three-run home run in Friday's 6-4 loss to Colorado.

Castro crushed his 10th homer of the campaign while also posting his second three-RBI showing in his past three outings. The utility man has settled in nicely following a rough start to the season, which saw him post a .227 batting average and .364 slugging percentage through April 16. Since May began, Castro is slashing .276/.374/.469 with 18 extra-base hits, 35 runs scored and seven stolen bases over 223 plate appearances.

Lugo took a no-decision after throwing six innings, allowing five runs on eight hits and no walks while striking out five, during Friday's 8-7 loss to the Marlins.

Lugo had been a different pitcher since the calendar turned to June, going seven straight starts without allowing more than three runs. That streak came to an end Friday after the 35-year-old allowed five runs to the Marlins, including two home runs. That's been a bit of an issue for the right-hander lately as he's allowed five home runs over his last three starts spanning 18.1 innings. His next start is scheduled to be on the road at the NL Central-leading Cubs.

Seager went 1-for-4 with a double and two RBI in Friday's 2-0 win over Detroit.

Friday marked Seager's third multi-RBI outing in 13 games to open the month of July. The star shortstop endured a miserable June -- he hit just .188 while slugging .353 last month -- but he's returned to the form fantasy managers have grown accustomed to seeing since then. Through 48 at-bats in July, Seager is hitting .354 with three home runs, six doubles and nine RBI.

Hamilton (1-1) worked one inning and took the loss, allowing three runs on three hits and one walk with no strikeouts, during Friday's 7-3 loss to Atlanta.

With Max Fried still battling a blister, Hamilton served as the opener for a scheduled bullpen game, and it did not go well. The 30-year-old got roughed up to the tune of three runs in his lone inning, throwing 26 pitches and facing seven batters. It was a bit of surprise considering the right-hander had allowed just two earned runs over his prior 13 appearances, but following Friday's outing, his ERA for the season is up to 4.10 in 37.1 innings.

Garcia picked up the save in Friday's 2-0 win over Detroit, allowing one hit and no walks during a scoreless ninth inning. He struck out two.

While Garcia did allow the possible tying run to get to the plate, he was able to hang on for his seventh save of the season. The Rangers' high-leverage mix has been in a state of flux for most of the year, although it appears that Garcia remains the club's favorite for saves for the time being. Over his last 13 innings, the left-hander holds a 2.08 ERA, 1.38 WHIP and 17:6 K:BB.

Caminero went 3-for-5 with a pair of two-run home runs in Friday's 11-1 win over Baltimore.

It was the seventh game of the season with at least three hits for Caminero, who also piled up at least four RBI for the fourth time this year. Since the beginning of June, the third baseman is slashing .245/.301/.523 with 12 homers, six doubles, 27 RBI and two stolen bases over 166 plate appearances. Friday was also Caminero's second career multi-homer effort, and he continues to showcase the slugging prowess that once made him one of baseball's top prospects.

Diaz went 3-for-4 with a grand slam, two additional runs scored and a walk in Friday's 11-1 win over Baltimore.

Diaz established a season high in RBI on Friday, also tallying his 10th game of the year with at least three hits. The veteran infielder has now logged at least one knock in 10 of his first 13 outings during the month of July, continuing a red-hot stretch at the plate. Since the start of June, Diaz is slashing .362/427/.553 with 14 extra-base hits and 23 RBI over 171 plate appearances.
