Keith is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Diamondbacks.

Keith will join fellow left-handed hitters Zach McKinstry and Kerry Carpenter on the bench while southpaw Eduardo Rodriguez takes the hill for Arizona. With Keith sitting out, Jahmai Jones will serve as Detroit's designated hitter.

Thaiss will start at catcher and bat ninth Monday against the Yankees.

Thaiss was originally slated to sit out Monday's series opener, but he has been moved into the lineup after the Rays finalized a trade that sent Danny Jansen to the Brewers. Thaiss will be the team's starting backstop for the moment, though Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic relays that Nick Fortes is set to be acquired from the Marlins. Thaiss has a .641 OPS with one steal, one home run and 16 RBI in 181 plate appearances this season.

O'Neill is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Blue Jays.

He will give up his spot in the starting nine to Coby Mayo, who will step in at first base while Ryan O'Hearn occupies the designated-hitter spot. O'Neill had started in each of the Orioles' previous four games, during which he went 7-for-13 with three home runs, one double, three walks, six RBI and six runs.

Red Sox manager Alex Cora said Monday that he plans to keep Anthony in the leadoff spot moving forward, Chris Cotillo of MassLive.com reports.

Anthony is making his second straight start in the leadoff spot in Monday's game against the Twins, and it appears he will stick at the top of the batting order indefinitely. Former leadoff man Jarren Duran is batting third for the second day in a row Monday.

Red Sox manager Alex Cora said that Chapman (back) is unavailable to pitch Monday in Minnesota, but he expects the reliever to be ready by Tuesday or Wednesday, Tim Healey of The Boston Globe reports.

Chapman had to be pulled from an appearance Sunday against the Dodgers due to back tightness, but the Red Sox expect his absence to be brief. If a save opportunity arises for Boston on Monday, Cora could turn to Jordan Hicks, Garrett Whitlock, Justin Wilson or Greg Weissert.

Wilson (hand) is not in the Athletics' starting lineup against the Mariners on Monday.

Wilson is nursing a bruised hand, which he played through for a couple of weeks after being hit by a pitch prior to the All-Star break. He'll remain out of the lineup while Max Schuemann starts at shortstop and bats eighth.

Kurtz (lower body) is starting at first base and batting second against the Mariners on Monday.

Kurtz was held out of Sunday's series finale against the Astros while managing some lower-body fatigue. The 22-year-old first baseman has put it together at the plate and is in the midst of a 13-game hitting streak, highlighted by his 6-for-6 performance with four home runs, eight RBI and six runs against Houston on Friday.

The Angels recalled Kochanowicz from Triple-A Salt Lake on Monday, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.

Kochanowicz is set to rejoin the rotation with a start Monday against the Rangers, and he should have an opportunity to remain with the big club indefinitely. The sinkerballer has posted an uninspiring 6.03 ERA and 1.63 WHIP with 65 strikeouts over 94 innings in 19 starts with the Halos in 2025.

The Angels optioned Fermin to Triple-A Salt Lake on Monday, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.

Fermin has hit a rough patch of late, allowing 11 runs (nine earned) over his last three innings. He could get another shot with the big club later this season, but for now the reliever will try to work out the kinks at Salt Lake.

Buxton (rib) is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Red Sox.

Buxton will miss a second straight start but is considered day-to-day while he continues to recover from left rib cartilage irritation. With Buxton on the bench Monday, DaShawn Keirsey will draw the start in center field and bat ninth.
