  • Roman Anthony OF | BOS

Red Sox's Roman Anthony: Huge game in blowout

Anthony went 1-for-2 with a solo home run, a stolen base and three additional runs scored during Tuesday's 14-1 win over the Astros.

Anthony walked four times Tuesday, setting a career high in the category and matching the most walks in a game by any hitter in MLB this season. He punished the Astros on one of the few pitches they threw him in the zone, lifting a solo homer in the eighth inning off Colton Gordon. Anthony has gone yard in back-to-back games and has a five-game hit streak. He's 7-for-19 (.368) during that five-game stretch.

  • Kyle Teel C | CHW

White Sox's Kyle Teel: Reaches base three times

Teel went 2-for-4 with a walk, an RBI and a run scored Tuesday against the Tigers.

Teel was part of a five-run fifth inning for the White Sox, walking with the bases loaded to drive in one. After holding his own through the first month of his time in the majors, Teel has shown signs of breaking out since the All-Star break. Across 17 games, he's hit .310 with two home runs, seven RBI and nine runs scored with five total extra-base hits.

  • Thomas Hatch RP | ARI

Twins' Thomas Hatch: Can't find plate in bulk relief

Hatch didn't factor into the decision Tuesday against the Yankees, allowing four runs on five hits and seven walks in 4.1 innings. He struck out two.

With several Twins starters on the injured list, Hatch was tasked with eating some innings as a long reliever but struggled mightily to find the plate. The 30-year-old right-hander tossed just 51 of his 99 pitches for strikes Tuesday, and the seven walks issued set a career-worst mark. Hatch has a 5.59 ERA, 1.76 WHIP and 6:8 K:BB over his first 9.2 innings. He'll carry minimal fantasy appeal in his next appearance, which is tentatively projected for this weekend in Detroit.

  • Carlos Rodon SP | NYY

Yankees' Carlos Rodon: Superb performance in 12th win

Rodon (12-7) earned the win Tuesday against the Twins, allowing one run on one hit and two walks in seven innings. He struck out five.

Rodon gave up one run on one hit and one walk in a shaky first inning, but he more than settled in and was just about untouchable from that point on. Tuesday also represented the first instance since his July 11 start in which the All-Star left-hander pitched at least seven innings, and Rodon now sports a 3.25 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and 164:58 K:BB over 146.2 frames. His next outing is slated for next week in Tampa Bay against the Rays, who have a .604 OPS versus left-handed pitching since the beginning of July.

  • Taylor Ward LF | BAL

Angels' Taylor Ward: Knocks homer Tuesday

Ward went 2-for-5 with a solo home run, a second RBI and three total runs scored in Tuesday's 7-6 extra-inning win over the Dodgers.

Over his last 13 games, Ward has five multi-hit efforts and eight hitless performances. He's added three homers and 11 RBI in that span despite the inconsistency at the plate. The outfielder is up to a .234/.314/.489 slash line with 28 homers, 89 RBI, 66 runs scored and three stolen bases across 118 contests. Ward's been keeping his OPS around the .800 mark since the All-Star break, so he should remain a steady source of power in the heart of the Angels' lineup.

  • Victor Mederos RP | ATL

Angels' Victor Mederos: Middling performance in start

Mederos allowed three runs on three hits and three walks while striking out three over four innings in a no-decision versus the Dodgers on Tuesday.

Mederos gave up all three runs over the first two innings before settling in. He threw just 43 of 72 pitches for strikes, though he was pitching on short rest after taking the mound for Triple-A Salt Lake on Friday. Mederos has a 5.63 ERA, 1.50 WHIP and 7:7 K:BB across eight innings in the majors this year. This was his first big-league start, and it looks like the Angels may give him a longer look in the rotation. He is tentatively projected for a home start versus the Reds next week should he get another turn.

  • Edgar Quero C | CHW

White Sox's Edgar Quero: Delivers three-hit, three-RBI night

Quero went 3-for-5 with a home run, three RBI and an additional run scored in Tuesday's 9-6 win over the Tigers.

The rookie launched a solo shot off Codi Heuer in the seventh inning, his fourth of the year, and then added a two-run single an inning later to push Chicago's lead to six. It was his third multi-hit effort in his last eight games and his second game this season with at least three RBI. The 22-year-old is now slashing .275/.342/.381 with 29 RBI and 20 runs scored through 75 contests.

  • Colby Thomas RF | ATH

Athletics' Colby Thomas: Swipes bag, plates two

Thomas went 2-for-3 with a double, two RBI, a stolen base and one run scored in Tuesday's 6-0 win over the Rays.

Thomas remains in a part-time role, but he's supplied six RBI over his last four games. The outfielder plated the Athletics' first two runs Tuesday with an RBI double in the second inning and a sacrifice fly in the fourth. He's up to a .200/.261/.350 slash line with one home run, two steals, seven RBI, four runs scored and three doubles through 46 plate appearances. He continues to see most of his playing time versus southpaws, though he isn't being strictly platooned.

  • Jacob Lopez SP | ATH

Athletics' Jacob Lopez: Stays hot in win

Lopez (6-6) allowed four hits, struck out nine batters and walked none over seven shutout innings to earn the win Tuesday over the Rays.

Lopez continues to look like the Athletics' best starter lately. Over his last four outings, he's posted a 28:6 K:BB across 24 scoreless innings in that impressive stretch. He won't keep this up forever, but his strong second half is showing serious developmental progress. He's now at a 3.30 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and 103:30 K:BB through 84.2 innings over 19 appearances (15 starts) this season. Lopez will look to keep rolling in his next outing, which is projected to be on the road in Minnesota.

  • Shane Baz SP | BAL

Rays' Shane Baz: No help in loss

Baz (8-9) allowed five runs (four earned) on six hits and two walks while striking out seven over seven innings to take the loss Tuesday versus the Athletics.

Baz had his longest start since he went seven innings July 1. The right-hander didn't get any help Tuesday, nor did he do himself any favors by allowing four or more runs for the fourth time in five starts. He's now at a 4.93 ERA, 1.33 WHIP and 140:50 K:BB through 135 innings across 24 starts. He's already exceeded the 118.2 innings he had across all levels in 2024, so it's possible the 26-year-old is wearing down a bit. His next start is projected to be at home versus the Yankees.
